Rule Suggestion

perhaps this idea / suggestion should be just that.. a suggestion made to members.. like in the faq saying it's considered bad posting to do that.

I agree, The just want posts.Maybe the faq should be updated.

Maybe something saying that after one member hs said he reported the thread or something that no one else should post afterwards?

Gaw. The last thing PC needs now is to be labelled a SPPf clone. They disabled postcount a long time ago, and look where it got them.

We were just saying what would happen if we did, but i don't think it's gonna happen.
I think the faq on posting should just be updated.

I think that maybe just post that after someone says they reported already no one else should post afterwards. It might work to stop people from going crazy like I've seen a bit.

Yeah, and if there is a post after the reporters and the staff sees that the post is not the reporters, maybe they can tell them something.

I doubt anybody bothers to read the FAQ. Assuming mods have inline post moderation enabled, it'd be a better idea to delete all replies in those kinda threads when they get locked, don'tcha think?

Only if it becomes to great, I remember once there was a thread that went on for two pages of nothing but people saying it should be closed. O_o; Little over the top if you ask me.

The person who reported it doesn't even need to reply, they can just leave the thread after reporting.

yeah this is true, they don't really need to leave there mark.We really need an admins opinion on this lol.I say that the only one should post in a thread that needs to be closed is the closer.Maybe not even then, just close it.

Nah...I think it should be ok if only one members says they reported it. Then other members won't come around wondering if the thread was reported at all.

Or, a better idea. The person who reported it posts informing everyone that it's been reported, and then the mod can delete their post when the thread's locked. This way, the thread starter can't flame the reporter.

That rarely happends, and if it does it's taken care of immediately.I just say nobody posts in it, the reporter doesn't and neither does the mod or higher staffie. This way all problems are avoided.

O_o; That's what I've been saying for the last page XD

Lets review what i said, this would probably work out better.

No, not that. The reporter posts so everyone else knows not to report it, then the staff member who locked the thread can delete the reporter's post, as if they never posted in there. o_O
