No, it's just a plain Torkoal, K-Zone seems to only get animé spoilers.

I think its just there for the reader to get the idea of Torkoal evolving or something.

It could be covered for mystery or it has like a water typage and its shel has water and fire going through it or if its with steel typage as well it could have spikes on the side and the feet have like spike rings. I like toe sound of that torkoanim the spunk punk rock pokemon

That's kinda pointless seeing is how the magazine is going as far as to spoil Candice's team. I mean if it already says Torkoal is coming, and we KNOW Ash has it and KNOW what it looks like why hide it?

No, Magazines usaully do that, I think they just thrown in Candice's team from the games in.

Yeah, most magazines. Read CoroCoro, Megami, VJump, or any other anime magazine and they only give a silhouette when they are revealing a new character not an old one. Take EVERY pokemon they ever reavealed early. Not to mention that this magazine in paticular spoiled Swinub early so I don't see why they can't show a picture. Also if they don't know Candice's team (which is basically what your saying), why put her game team in?

Because by revealing a 5th generation pokemon early would be breaking the law. Chances are they had permission to reveal Swinub, due to the fact the movie poster was coming out soon.

You completely missed what I was saying. I was saying what's the point of putting a silhouette on a Pokemon we know about already. That can't be it's evolution. I'm saying what's the point making Torkoal a silhouette. *facepalms* I understand they can't reveal it early, that's why I don't completely trust this source.

It's just odd... However, as someone pointed out, it could just be a water or water/fire type torkoal being the evolution. Maybe in the 5th generation, a new type of evolution is a pokemon switching types?

Haha, Touche, but I meant if this is real, maybe an evolution involves changing type, not form. As in, Torkoal would go from Red to Blue, and change to water, (just an example), etc :P

Since I was named as a source in the first post, (I'm Evil_Raichu on BMG) I'd like to say where I found it. I've seen it floating around on the /a/ board on 4chan. Since everyone is anonymous there, I don't know the person who originally scanned it so I can't confirm, but supposedly it's from that Australian magazine everyone is talking about.

I don't even really keep up with the anime anymore, I just saw it and thought my fellow pokefans might be interested.

Yeah guys just wanted to show you what I found on Serebii. So that means people speculated over something sound on the Hate Board...wonderful. Let's look for other things on 4chan and believe them.

OMG, I just thought of something. What if Torkoal, instead of 'evolving' gets a new 'forme' e.g. it turns into a water type when battling in water and a fire type when on land. So in the anime, Ash's Torkoal falls into a pool or something and everyone says: "Oh noes, torkoal diez" then it leaps out of the water, alll like "Yoz, i iz only kidin, i iz water type now". It sounds silly, but its the kinda cheesy scene that I could expect from the anime.

On a side note: what would we call this evolution/forme of torkoal?

Actually, they were initially reported as news, supposedly confirmed by his sources. The reports were swiftly edited once people cried foul.

I think you'll find that they were no posted as news nor stated as fact. When I posted them I posted them as rumour and stated it like half a dozen times in the news post. With the starters yes I was a little more towards the positive side but with PK's Shaymin, I said on the site I only posted it to stop people e-mailling me it and stated straight out it was unconfirmed and most likely false.

I've decided to wait until more information comes out. If more doesn't come out, I'll take it as fake. If more were to come out then I would begin to believe that it's true. But for now, I think it's fake.

Not really, it looks shopped, the image is flat, plus there's no reflection of the light in the mall, or at least a shadow of his iphone, also the guy on /a/ keeps reposting it apparently, if he knew it was that important, WHY DIDN'T HE BUY IT? Or at least mention what magazine.
