So, I'm new to this RP business, but I had a multitude of ideas, and this struck me as a balance between my pseudo-fantasy RP idea (which less people will notice) and my Pokemon RP idea (which more people will notice). Therefore, I present to you….
Sanglion: The Darkrai Chronicles
PLOT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five million years ago, when the world of Sanglion was still in chaos, only Dialga and Palkia existed. In that time there were no dimensions save Sanglion and its Reverse self, Noilgnas. A spark of thought came to Dialga to create the essence of time, to track their accomplishments. And another such spark came to Palkia, to create the essence of space, to accompany Dialga's time so that they could act in perfect harmony and balance. So 't was done. Dialga roared, and the stream of time came forth to create the dimension of time. Palkia shaped, and the three axes of space came forth to create the dimensions of space. And all was peaceful.
In time, the first organisms came to be. Dialga and Palkia, discovering this, sped up their evolution into sentient beings and made spaces where they could live in harmony with nature. And all was peaceful.
And then, one fateful day five thousand years ago, the humans came to be.
The power of their dreams opened up mysterious pathways in the fabric of spacetime that Dialga and Palkia had created. And from the dreams was created Darkrai.
The peace was broken into pieces as Darkrai ran rampant in Sanglion and destroyed the realm. Dialga and Palkia quickly decided on a course of action, but Darkrai was ruthlessly strong. Darkrai utterly destroyed Dialga and Palkia, and the battle seemed to be a losing one for the two dragons.
But then another came. Then there were three draconic creatures, and the destruction of Darkrai was swift. Giratina appeared out of the portal to the Distortion World, and Dialga and Palkia's strengths were renewed. They swiftly dispatched Darkrai, focusing all their power into a stone tablet to seal Darkrai into. This was broken into two pieces, each concealed at opposite ends of the continent. And the humans, ever ingenious in their nature, crafted these tablets into statues of their heroes, Dialga and Palkia. Giratina was unknown to them still, fading back into the Distortion World. And peace returned to the land.
Dialga and Palkia were tired. They sought new protectors for the land; Dialga chose to impart the knowledge of manipulation of raw power to his followers, and Palkia the knowledge of healing and strengthening. After imparting their knowledge, Dialga and Palkia too were sealed away, set to sleep for five thousand years. The humans acted as guardians in their stead of Darkrai's pieces, and Dialga and Palkia taught them the way to capture their lesser brethren to become Familiars for the humans, to become their friends and helpers. The followers of Dialga became known as wizards, mages, and generally users of arcane magic; the followers of Palkia became known as clerics, healers, and users of divine magic.
There was peace.
Recently, however, the bindings have begun to weaken. A society named the Magehaunt, possessing very little membership and infamy in the past, has started to collect lives from people and the Familiars alike. Hungry for the revival of Darkrai and its near-unlimited power, they work to collect enough energy to awaken Darkrai and conquer the world.
Your task is to stop them. You are the elite, selected from among the winners of the combat tournament held days earlier. You have been chosen by the last of the legendary dragons.
Giratina.
Your quest is to free Dialga and Palkia, and to face off with Giratina in tow the malevolent spirit named Darkrai. This much will be revealed. An epic journey awaits you, fraught with perils and traps, dangers and highwaymen. Beware, but be not afraid. For the power of the silver one is with you.

Background Info on the Region
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mechanics of the Region
Sanglion is quite different from other regions introduced in the Pokemon world and games; it has a four-Pokemon rule, not a six-Pokemon rule. Also, Pokemon are never called Pokemon; from now on, they will be called Familiars in-character. Sanglion, is, as you've seen, a high-magic world. It has clerics and wizards. The warriors and thieves, either too poor to afford an education at Orisonville or Cantripham, where the best magic schools are, are complete idiots, or are simply too busy to be admitted to a proper school for magic, nonetheless have some small ability to, say, create a tiny spark or reinforce their weapon for one slightly harder strike. The system of magic is strictly based on education, but has some merit in talent. To put it simply, people that study magic with only an average intelligence are always going to know a lot more magic than people who are very talented and do not. The region of Sanglion is very unsophisticated technologically; it uses magic for many of its communication devices, firearms (wands charged with magical energy, usable by any one that knows how to aim), and it uses a small, circular slab of stone marked with runes as a substitute for a Pokeball; Familiars are stored inside the runic markings of the slab of stone, and the markings change to include a brief symbol of the Familiar that belongs in it after a newly captured Familiar is verified to be 100% captured. Sanglis (residents of Sanglion) use their Familiars as helpers, tools, etc. just like in the real Pokemon universe, but magic-users also use them as channels for their magic; Familiars amplify the magic-user's power if used correctly. For example, a fire-type Familiar will help the caster amplify the size of his fireball, or the area of his flash fire if he decides to create one, whereas when a Water-type familiar is used to amplify a fire spell it will decrease the power of the spell. In other words, treat spell effects as Pokemon attacks, and Familiars grant their owners a same-type spell bonus when they are in combat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prelude. Beginnings.
It was midday. The granite steps of the temple to Dialga was streaked with aquamarine markings, the runes a sign of the purpose of the location long ago. A statue of Dialga, in the shape of a draconic, four-legged metallic creature, was mounted on a pedestal in the centre of the square altar. A middle-aged man, clothed in sky-blue robes, sat before the statue, in deep meditation.
"Darkrai iorem!"
A voice, clear and sharp, cut through the silence around the man. A bolt of dark energy flew at the blue-robed man, catching him off guard. The man wheeled around, eyes snapping open. Drawing out a rune-carved small stone in his elaborate ceremonial leather belt, he touched its centre before briefly muttering several words, after which his Familiar, a lizard with a flame for a tail and sharp claws, sprang out from the complex markings on his blue runestone.
"Who dares invoke the name of the Betrayer!?" The man was furious. Having already stood up somewhere along the process of conjuring his Familiar, he snatched his rowan wand and fired a blast of white light at the raven-haired figure, a young woman with dark skin, clad in black-and-violet leather armour, sporting her own runic Familiar by her side. A ghostly apparition with the face of a skull. She wielded a staff, topped with a gleaming ruby, and spun it around in a windmill, the fiery blast ricocheting off the endless circle of red.
"Claws of Metal!" The man's rune glowed with an unearthly blue light, then faded as his Familiar's claws did so instead.
The Charmeleon charged forward and launched a rapid assault of stabbing claws, but the apparition merely faded for a moment as his opponent passed through him. The woman smiled tauntingly, and looked at the obviously weaker Familiar that was her adversary in disgust. "Such insolence and weakness. And from you too, Erius. I should have expected better."
The man was surprised at the missed attack, but even more so at the apparent knowledge of his name by the woman. "Is it you, Aline?" Then it, too quickly turned to a stare of hate, directed at the young woman named Aline. "So. I should have expected this. A betrayal by a servant of the Betrayer." The man's voice was one of scorn, and he practically spat these words out. Discarding his wand in favor of the parchment scroll in his left pocket, he began to recite an incantation. "O animus ardentius, corpus torrens!"
A blaze of heat and light. A conflagration of embers. Then, nothing, as the sunlight streamed back to dominate as the primary light source. Nothing remained of the man and his familiar save for scorched robes and a carved, circular runestone, streaks already fading. And with the disappearance of the man, the statue of Dialga also faded into the scorching summer air.
"Hmph. Gone again." The woman scoffed. The temple was already attracting attention, civilians gathering near like flies near a dead corpse. "No matter. The master's plan will be executed flawlessly. May the Magehaunt's will be done." With these words, she stepped into a nearby shadow and was gone from sight, leaving behind only a whiff of lavender petals.
