    The dub tends to gender Pokemon for no particular reason. That being said, let's play around with this. Of all the unconfirmed Pokemon with a "gender" which do you feel of Ash's are male or female? You can do other characters too, if you wish. (Not that it matters), but. For example, I feel as though Dawn's Pachirisu is probably male, lmfao. Have fun, maybe?

    Before gender differences were introduced, Ash's Pikachu could have been female, LOL.
     
    It's pretty similar to how so many people I know in real life assume what gender a dog or cat is without knowing or checking. I don't see it as a big deal, but it feels to me like the majority of Ash's Pokemon are male, except for a few like Chikorita, Snivy (Those are the only I know who are confirmed female, forgive me) But I could see his Goodra, Phanpy, and some others being female as well.
     
    I often refer to most Pokémon, including those that Ash and other characters own, with "it" as their pronoun if their actual gender isn't confirmed. I figure maybe that'll get my point across without me getting scolded or the discussion breaking down into a flame war or becoming controversial.
     
    I think most of all pokemon we know are male. The ones I am pretty sure is confirmed being pretty female are the following. Ones night listed I am pretty sure are Males Although Ash's Oshawott, Tepig, and Pikachu are all confirmed male due to Snivy's Attract or Charm. Brock's Ludicolo was also confirmed to be Male. Which ever ones stops pokemon from attacking.

    Usually, before I start, I call them its.

    I think these are confirmed:
    Ash's Snivy
    Ash's Bayleef
    Ash's Unfezant
    Possibly Ash's Leavanny
    Dawn's Buneray
    Serena's Sylveon
    Misty's Luvdisc (Caserin. Not sure if it is the female or not. I know it fell in love with Daisy's which was named Luverin)
    One of James' Victrebell was Female, as they met each other in the wild and fell in love.
    Jessie's Frillish
    Jessie's Gourgeist
    Jessie's Dustox (I can't remember if it confirmed it or not when she released it)

    Ones that I strongly believe are female:
    Misty's Starmie (Always thought this. Used to think Staryu was only male and Starmie was Female)
    Misty's Goldeen
    Misty's Corsola
    Brock's Chansey
    Dawn's Togekiss
    Iris's Emolga
    May's Beautifly
    May's Skitty
    May's Glaceon


    I think everything else is Male. Also May's Venasuar and Wartortle could also be female. Especially Wartortle. Ash's Goodra could be female, but I think it is Male. I also once thought Phanpy was a female before it evolved, but after that. I though it was a male.

    Bulbasaur (dubbed called it by "he" pronouns at one point).
    Charizard (same as above).
    Kingler.
    Snorlax.
    Heracross.
    Totodile, but I think that's confirmed.
    Noctowl.
    Sceptile
    Corphish
    Torkoal.
    Glalie.
    Torterra.
    Infenape.


    Female:

    Muk (sure, why not? I think that'd be hilarious.)
    Quilava (maybe, could be, but eh, lmfao)
    I wanna believe Donphan is female.
    Swellow
    (kinda hoping his Gliscor is also female, but probably not...)


    Also, Icyice, you forgot some Pokemon.

    Staraptor was confirmed male.
    Buizel was also confirmed male.
    Gible has also been confirmed male, lol.
    Jessie Yanmega is confirmed female, too.

    Okay, I'm done. I had my annoying fun, lol.

    - Serena' Pancham
    - Clemont's Chespin

    Female:
    - All of Misty's Pokemon except Togetic, Psyduck, Caserin, Staryu and Starmie

    - Jessie's Arbok
    - May's Skitty
    - May's Wartortle
    - Serena's Braixen

    If I missed any Pokemon, that means they either had their genders confirmed or I don't know what gender I think they are.
     
    Oh there were more confirmations? Lol it has been a long while since I saw a lot of the Sinnoh Version. Started rewatching it, but stopped again at the 2nd gym because I started watching other shows.

    Wasn't sure if any other were confirmed female or not. Thought I had at least gotten all the Females.

    To me, it seems like Ash usually gets all males and maybe a female every now and then and the female companions get mostly females.
     
    I would say Ash's Chicorita was definitely female. It was in love with Ash and got jealous over him and Pikachu. Nurse Joy also refers to her as a "she" when doing an analysis after Ash brought it to her.
     
    Looking back at it, I generally based what I thought were their genders on what their voice actors sounded like in the English Dub.
