Faltzer has been telling me that using mod_rewrite and SEO is the best way to increase your traffic aside from affiliation. I want to make my URLs look better:
    contestapply.shtml >> contestapply

I'm doubtful because I don't know how to redirect them to the new URLs. Tell me if you think that mod_rewrite would be all that worthwhile to use.

contestapply.shtml and /contestapply/ will give you the exact same SEO results.

I was just only thinking this time of making my URLs something like:

contestapply.html to make the URLs shorter. I can do more stuff with mod_rewrite if I wanted to because I'm pretty experienced on regex.

Just be aware that having actual directories will become a pain.

    ;)

It's simple really, just add more regex on to the next rewrite rule.

I use Korokus ?id way of doing things, because its better, and very seckseh

Thing is, I don't use ?id, if not I use .shtml. :)

Making things a lot more complicated than if you just left it as .shtml :p

Web mastering was never easy just so you know Koroku. :P

There never is an easy to way to administrate. Besides, I've been taking regex classes on improving my mod_rewrite.

Webmastering can be easy if people don't take it so seriously.

Just have fun~ that's what every hobby should be about.

Some people want to advance in the web community. There's nothing wrong with having fun with HTML PHP and just "doin u". Some people however take it more seriously. Take me for example, I take web development very seriously because I know this is what i want to do for the rest of my life.

That's what Faltzer wants to do. He wants to be a web designer and a programmer (C/C++).

I, want to be a graphics designer and an artist. But who cares about my goals anyway?
