Set Sail For Sevii [PG13]

Plot;
As you may have guessed, this roleplay will be based in the sevii isles from the games Pokemon Firered and Pokemon Leafgreen.
Basically you are twenty years into the future [from the end of D/P/Pt.] and the Sevii isles is now it's own region. There will be many new features compared to what it was like on FR/LG but to find out what they are you'll have to roleplay to find out.

Features;

• You receive a letter from professor Celio, Bill's friend.
• You arrive at Vermilion city to take a boat out to Sevii.
• You obtain a starter pokemon of your choice!
• You can challenge the eight gyms set up. Not all of which include actual battles, or decide not to be a trainer, you can be a ranger, coordinator or breeder also.
• You will need to stop a new evil team from achieving their unknown goals.

• You can challenge in the Indigo Plateau after obtaining all eight badges.
• You can save the world, or join the evil team if you wish.
• You can meet cameo characters such as Bill, Ash and Gary.

1. Follow all existing PC roleplaying rules.
2. Please, don't god-mod.
3. Let us know if you'll be inactive.
4. Make your reply as long as you possibly can.
5. I will decide if you capture the pokemon or not, leave the ball rocking at the end of your comment.
6. You can decide whether the opponent does or does not faint, however this does not apply when facing another roleplayer. Then it will be my decision on who wins the battle.
7. This roleplay will take place in chapters. This is so nobody gets left behind.
8. I will decide which wild pokemon will be available.

Name: Joshua Lucas Wick.
Age: 13.
Gender: Male.
Starter: Dratini.
Physical: Joshua is a slender pale faced male with sparkling green eyes that could be mistaken for emeralds. He has jet black hair in the emo style and he has rather thin eyebrows.
He usually can be seen wearing a green jumper, similar to that of Gary Oak's, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbow. Along with this he wears a pair of faded out jeans, a pair of converse and a snood.

Personality: Joshua is a warm-hearted youngster who is yet to experience the world for himself. He is about as selfless as it gets and will always stick up for a friend. He also has a great love for pokemon of the dragon type. This is due to his past which will be explained below. He has that happy-go-lucky aura surrounding him and many people enjoy being in his company.

History:Being born in Blackthorn city is a key factor in Joshua's love for dragons. He spent most of his time watching Clair battle, and when he was lucky he got to see his hero Lance. Lance's grandfather had taken on Joshua as his latest prodigy. However when Joshua was forced to move to Sinnoh due to his father's job transfer he was devastated. He vowed to become a pokemon champion upon leaving Blackthorn, and promised to do it using dragons!

Name: Shelby Ann Worthington

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Starter: Harlem the Poochyena, Male

Physical: Shelby has a round, child-like face that makes her look slightly younger than she is. Her bright blonde hair is layered around her face and falls to her waist, so it's usually pulled up in a high ponytail. Her eyes are wide and sea green. She's about 4'8 which makes her shorter than most of the girls her age. She can usually be seen in ripped jean shorts and some type of tank top, with her favorite blue sweat shirt and tennis shoes.

Personality: Bubbly and hyperactive, she also tends to be somewhat of a smart-aleck and likes to tease. She loves pokemon dearly and is a really great friend if you're willing to put up with her sarcasm and energy.

History: Shelby was born and raised in Pallet Town, along side Ash and Gary. She was usually left behind because she was younger. The youngest of five siblings, two older brothers and three younger sisters, she learned to fend for herself and developed her loudness and sarcasm from the constant battle for attention. Her dream is to become the gym leader in Cinnabar once Blaine retires. She has a passion for fire-types.

Starter: Larvitar, nicknamed Chewy.

Physical: Aaron has a chiseled and serious face, deep and dark green eyes, and dark brown hair cleanly cut into a buzz. He is just shy of 7' tall, and has a rather large build, composed of both muscle and fat. He wears a black T-shirt, a large blue sweater, and black athletic shorts.

Personality: Aaron is rather quiet. He takes orders and carries them out accordingly, but shows leadership when needed. His only true allegiance is to his Pokemon. Because of his quiet and shy nature, many people interpret him as cold or shallow. Despite his size, Aaron is gentle, docile, and kind. His character flaws are that he his hard to reach, and that he isn't immediately trusting. If you take the time to get to know Aaron, he isn't as bad of a person as a first impression makes him out to be.

History: Aaron is likely quiet because he grew up under a harsh military father who trained under Lt. Surge. 16 years of his life were spent following orders mindlessly and obeying. Upon his 17th birthday, when his strict father announced that he was signed up for military life, he ignited a spark of rebellion within Aaron that neither of them had suspected. Aaron didn't know where he was going to go, but he snuck out on the night of his 17th birthday.

It was then that he fell into a dumpster and observed a letter, unopened, addressed to him, from a Professor Celio. He still doesn't know what he wants to achieve, and he would rather have life steer his destiny and see where it takes him. The opening of the letter also opened an epiphany inside Aaron.

Physical: Kayla is around 5 feet seven inches tall with slightly tanned skin and a thin build. Her face is heart-shaped, blue eyes and freckles across her cheeks. Her hair is long, straight and of a light brown colour. Kayla usually wears a white-sleevless shirt with a blue jacket over it. She also has on a pair of casual jeans with white socks and black shoes. Kayla can be seen with a long necklace with a flying silver Charizard at the end of it and black fingerless gloves.
Personality: Kayla is a very out going girl. She loves to just run around and try new things. She also likes to meet new people and if there is a stranger around she will immediately run up to them and introduce herself. Kayla also likes to play and hang out with Pokemon, though this has come with growing up with breeders for parents.

That said, she also has a very short temperature and can overreact to things. She can also be kind of thick headed and will go with a course of action if she really believes in it, no matter what anyone else will say.
History: Kayla was born and raised in Cerulean City. Both of her parents were breeders and they pretty much taught Kayla everthing she knows about Pokemon. It also created her desire to see more of the world in a Pokemon League. However, her parents wouldn't let her go until she reached 14, and even then it would have to be in a League close to where they lived. So, needless to say, Kayla was very happy when she heard that the Sevii League was opening. Her parents took her to the islands, very excited for whatever her journey may have.

Personality: Dmitri is a dedicated Catholic and hard worker. He is quite stubborn about his beliefs and is hard to sway, but he is always willing to help.

History: Dmitri is a native of the Orre region and grew up with an average life their.

Physical: Standing 5'7, Kyle wears the same outfit as Touya except his jacket is dark purple and his shoes are black, purple and white. Touya and Kyle also share the same appeirence as each other except for his blue eyes.
Personality: Kyle is very outgoing and has low self esteem. People always tell him he is a great person but he never agrees. He's also very protective of the ones he cares about. The most important thing in his life is his Pokemon. Kyle will never back down from any challange that is placed in his way.
History: Kyle was born and in Littleroot Town in Hoenn. He lived their until he was two and that's when his parents where killed, defending Prof Birch's lab from Team Magma and Team Aqua. He was sent to live in an orphanage in Saffron City, where he was constantly picked on and teased. By the time Kyle was 10, all the other kids who picked on him where adopted while Kyle was forced to live in the orphanage. Kyle managed to get threw the first 10 years of his life without friends that cared for him. When Kyle heard about the Sevii Islands, he asked the head of the orphanage if he could go. She said no because he "had to take care of the younger children." So two days before the boat for the Sevii Islands left the docks of Virmillion, Kyle snuck out of the orphanage by jumping out the window.

Starter: Aipom (Note: will not evolve)
Physical: Short for his age standing only 5' 3" and weighing in at only 7 stone. He has short Brown hair that is always spikey at the back, with greeney blue eyes. Another key facial feature is a scar above his left eye, it isn't big but it is noticeable. His skin colour is white but is tanned.
Quite a muscular build with a definition of his abb muscles showing. This comes from playing a lot of sport when he was younger, and still does, but not as much.
Can usually see him wearing white and blue trainers with Blue combat trousers and a red, hooded, pullover with a Pokeball symbol on the front.
Personality: He is a very active boy and his personality reflects that. He hates being indoors, and is always happy to help people to get out of trouble whatever the consequences.Also very gentle and caring, he wont let anybody suffer, but this can lead to him getting into a few scrapes (like when he got his scar). But asude from that he also has quite a humourous side but some of his jokes and puns can be a bit dry and can leave people just speechless.
History: Born in Cherrygrove, in Johto, this is where he lived up untill he was 10, which is when his family moved to Goldenrod. It was in Goldenrod where he found his love for Normal type Pokemon, he helped Whitney, the old and frail Gym leader, and soon became attached to one of Aipoms. He trained the Aipom to make it as powerful as it could be, unfortunately the training failed because most of the time they weren't even training just loafing around an playing together.

Name: Chris Jacobson (Zero)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Starter: Staryu (shiny, if possible) nicknamed Orion
Physical: Zero is a fairly tall (about 6'2") boy that never seems able to get enough sun. His skin is quite pale, but not too much. He doesn't way much for a boy his age. He loves blue and black, always wears his navy jacket over his black tee. He wears athletic shorts and flip flops at all times, even when he knows he's going to be hiking. He has bright blue eyes and very dark hair.

Personality: His friends call him Zero because of his innate ability to Zero in on an opponents weakness. He's very quiet, always thinking. He can seem rather harsh at times, but that's only because he hates people not thinking ahead, and gets onto them when he feels they should have seen something coming. For this reason, he didn't have many friends early on in his life, but the ones he did have completely understood him and quickly came to think like him.

History: Zero's family, from Cerulean City, has always been close friends with Misty's family. His older brother even dated Misty for a while, taking her frequently to Cape Brink on dates. It was due to this friendship with the Gym Leader that led Zero to his love of Water Pokemon. One day, Zero came running up to the Cape to get his brother for dinner when he saw a Staryu in the water. But this one wasn't the normal brown color, this one was gray with a blue core. Marveling at the Staryu, he didn't hear his brother come running up behind him, but he felt his feet leave the ground. His brother pushed him in the lake! When he came up for air, the Staryu was gone. He would continue going to the cape every day for a year, and sure enough, the Staryu would be back. They would play together all day until it was time to go. When he got a letter from a Professor Celio, Zero knew exactly who his first Pokemon was going to be. He didn't so much have to catch the Staryu as to just ask if it wanted to come with him, the Pokeball didn't wiggle once.

Starter: Growlithe (calls it his BurnLion)
Physical: A tall, lithe teen, he has light, but still semi-tanned skin. He has long, unkempt brown hair, striking green eyes, and quite a few scratches on his body in various places. His fingernails are somewhat long, but not, like, freakishly long, and sharpened.
He wears a ripped brown t-shirt and jeans ripped off to make shorts. He wears no shoes or socks.

Personality: Dash does not understand many social norms, and his speech can be halting and strange at times, and he uses different names for things. He has some anger issues, and does not like waiting around - he is rash and quick to decide. However, he will follow a leader who is clearly established.

History: Dash was raised in a small tribal village near Mount Silver. This tribe believed each person had an affinity with a certain pokemon, which at 15 they must find. Unlike most, Dash did not come back to the village immediately. For six moths he journeyed, only occasionlly coming into a city and meeting people, learning little about the civilized culture. for the next four months, he lived with a tribe of Growlithe and Arcanine, and grew close to a young pup. He then decided to journey with the pup back to the tribe, but found it destroyed. Thus, he decided to learn more about the strange civiliztion. He went to Lavender Town and was accidentaly whisked away with a group of tourists to the Sevii Region...

Physical: Taylor is a decent height for his age (6'0). He is well built and very muscular. He has blueish green eyes and light blonde hair. He wears a purple jacket over a white shirt with black jeans to match. He has a backpack in which he carries his pokeball's and other misc items. Taylor's hair is spiked up at the front and the tips of his hair are died purple. He wears a chain around his neck with a replica of the Saffron Gym Badge at the end.

Personality: Taylor is a somewhat shy individual, he isn't very welcomed in very many groups because of this. He tends to keep to himself and keeps himself away from others. He has a favoritism to psychic pokemon due to being born near Saffron City of the Kanto region. Taylor enjoys reading and will most likely be seen reading a book in his off time. He enjoys working on his families ranch and taking care of the pokemon that live on it. He is very caring towards pokemon and people as well.

History: Taylor was born just outside of Saffron City in the Kanto region, his family owns a ranch in which Taylor spent most of his life working on. His dream was to one day own his own gym after he defeated the indigo plateau and became a pokemon master! After Taylor received his invitation to the Sevii isle's his parents insisted he went on the journey, but Taylor didn't want to leave his family and the ranch behind. Taylor decided he would go on the adventure and send any earnings he made back to his folks. Taylor headed north down to Vermilion city to begin his pokemon journey!

Starter: Typhoon the Totodile

Physical: She is a petite young girl who the height of about 5'7". Her skin is in between pale and tan with a few freckles here and there. Claire has long wavy hair the color of caramel that falls just past her shoulders; but is almost always tied up in a messy ponytail, with a long bang strand on the left side. She also is the owner to soft blue eyes like the ocean after a storm.

She dresses in faded jeans, which are almost always ripped at the knees, and a robin-egg-blue tank top. She also wears a ivory jacket that has a hood for protection. She carries around a tan messenger bag to hold any Pokéballs and other Items she may need.

She doesn't wear any jewlery but occasionally wears a knitted black scarf around her neck.

Personality: Claire is the shy type who almost always keeps to herself. Though she may hide what she is feeling, she is caring enough that she wants to help others with their problems. She will try to weasel someone into sharing their life stories with her so she has something to listen to.

On occasions when she gets to know a person she will talk a bit more, mostly about her Pokémonthough.She takes care of them and never lets them out of her sight because they are her best friends. Her Pokémon are mostly those with a kind nature - on occasion stubborn (her Totodile for instance).
Claire aspires to be a Champion and to do so she knows she must work hard and follow through with things. That is where she has trouble. When things get rough she won't know what to do and will most likely let others make the executive decision. She can hardly stay with one thing so following one thing through to the end is hard.

However, she does try her best.

History: Claire was born in the city of Goldenrod, Johto. Her parents raised her as an only child and she quite liked it that way. You see Claire never used to be the shy type, in fact she was quite talkative. That was until things changed in her life. Her parents went through rocky stages and always fought in front of Claire. Thus she learned to be 'invisible' while people were around.

When she decided she wanted to be a Trainer she left home (without telling her parents, basically ran away) and set out to become a Champion.

Chapter One.
The Jaded Journey Begins.
In this chapter you may travel One Island, now known as New Cinnabar. The wild pokemon available are Pidgey, Rattata, Pichu, Caterpie, Weedle, Sentret, Hoot-Hoot, Ledyba, Aipom, Zigzagoon, Poochyena, Wurmple, Tailow, Bidoof, Starly and Pachirisu.

After arriving in the port of New Cinnabar, formerly One Island, Joshua along with his Dratini looked around. The island was a lot less spacious than when Joshua last visited. He spotted a green roofed building. He was immediately able to tell that it was Celio's laboratory. He jogged off in the direction of the white walled building. The automatic doors slid open as the young male approached it. The professor was delighted upon seeing Joshua. He offered the young male a pokedex, well at least that's what it seemed to be. There were several versions. The difference being colour. Taylor took the purple one, as that is the colour that represents dragon pokemon, well at least that's what he thought.

After leaving the laboratory, Taylor headed off into the tall grass, the home of the local wild pokemon.

"I'll race ya to the center!" Shelby shouted to her poochyena, Harlem, who was trotting off the boat behind her. The grey-black pokemon barked excitedly, taking off, Shelby close behind.

Once she reached the pokemon center, she glanced around. "Um..." Shelby plopped down on a chair. "I totally forgot where I'm supposed to go..." Harlem curled up at her feet, panting slightly.

"There is no way I'm letting you leave to this Sevii Islands. The younger children need you to take care of them and I can't do it by myself," the orphanage head told me.

"But..." I said before I was cut off.

"No buts, now upstairs young man," she told me, pointing towards the stairs. I let out a sigh before starting up the stairs. I reached my small seven by seven foot room. I slept in a room by myself because the second oldest person in the orphanage was a boy at the age of seven. Therefore, I had no one to talk to other than arguing with the head of the orphanage. I jumped onto my bed and sat back. I lay staring at the roof of my room, which was covered with Pokemon posters. I had a balcony at the end of my room. I stood up and walk onto it. I stared off to the apartment building across from the orphanage. There was a girl with her parents, getting ready for her adventure. I was envious of this, seeing as my parents where killed.

I wish I could have that, a family. A mother and father, I thought to myself. It was now dark outside. The bright lights of the street lights where shining the way out of Saffron and towards the route that lead to Vermillion. I wish I could go, I thought. Then I realized it. I took my bed sheet and tied it to my balcony that was ten feet above the ground. I began climbing down, slowly and slowly. I then reached the end of the bed sheet. I still had a seven foot drop. So, I let go.

I struck the ground and fell to my knees. "Oww," I exclaimed as I began clutching my knee. I looked up to see the same yellow buildings, except for the Silph Co. headquarters that was located in the middle of town. I began walking, still with a pain in my knees.

I fell to the ground again just as I reached the entrance to Silph Co. It was hard to walk but I tried to push threw the pain. I had to get away from this horrible life I had at the orphanage. I began to stand up, when my knees gave out again. I struck the ground hard and began to pass out. I then shook my head and stood up. My knees where throbbing but I fought threw the pain.

I continued threw Saffron and eventually made it to Vermillion. The sea surrounded the city as I walked to the docks in which the boat bringing young trainers to Sevii was docked. I crept inside the boat with out anyone knowing. It was now around midnight and I was sleeping in the storage hall. I found some blankets, pillows and climbed up to the top of a crate. I made a bed and went to sleep shortly after.

I stepped off the boat that had just arrived at New Cinnabar. I took a deep breath, breathing in the air of the first stop on my dream to become a Pokemon master. I walked slowly into the middle of the city, my Drowzee slowly trailing behind me. I come to a stop as I see a building with green roof.

"This must be Professor Celio's laboratory." I said to Drowzee.

Drowzee gave me a nod and as I began to walk up the stairs to the laboratory. I stepped into the building as the automatic door's slid open. I walk up to a desk that has Pokedex's. Professor Celio then walked up to me.

"Go ahead son, their are different color's to suit each trainer."

I reached down and grabbed a the pink colored one, (Noticing there was not a purple one) I put it in my side pocket and turned to leave the building. I walked to the edge of the city and gazed into the open plain's. This is were my journey begins.
