Seven Letters Only

Does anyone remember when we could only have seven letters in our names? (five characters in the Japanese version, btw). That was such a pain in the ass. How did you feel about the character limits of Pokemon names/and player names back in the day?

It most certainly made some attack names and Pokemon names look like they were missing something, such as Feraligatr. Being limited to only ten characters for Pokemon names was so annoying sometimes, I couldn't spell some of the nicknames I wanted to. Rip

my sister and I always felt lucky since we had 6 letter names. our cousin was not so lucky hahaha. fortunately for him, he had a shorter nickname. in my opinion, pokemon managed to use the 7-character limit back then. the only thing that was badly (i mean its still a good name, personally) executed was feraligatr.

I remember those days. I do not miss them.

Never mind our names though - poor Feraligatr!
