    Shadow Pokémon

In Pokémon XD and Colosseum, we've had Shadow Pokémon. These kind of Pokémon were equally as powerful as mega-evolution, if not more, and were often used for wrongful purposes by villainous groups.

What are our opinion on Shadow Pokémon, and do we have any favorite in particular? Would we ever like to see them step into main series some day? If so, how would we go about introducing them?

I liked them, they were a neat concept and made XD really interesting. It be awesome to have them show up again, especially in a main game.

As for how they could incorporate them?
One idea I had was that they could have something type of energy get created like the kind that megas use, and this begins to spread through a region and corrupt the wild life. With your character setting out to tame and capture them. and stop the virus from destroying the region. It could actually work well as a plot for Z as they could cause a global catastrophe that would need zygarde to awaken and help save the day.

Shadow Pokemon were cool and added a couple of interesting new features (Shadow moves, purification, etc.), but if you ask me, the best thing they added was a Villainous Team that actually did something to Pokemon. Team Rocket abused and stole Pokemon, but we didn't see much of that. After that, Villainous Teams only messed with Legendaries, but not in ways that were outstandingly immoral. Shadow Pokemon showed what a villainous team would do to Pokemon to meet their ends, even just normal Pokemon.

Does anyone else think the "Shadow Mewtwo" in pokken could be hinting at a new shadow pokemon game. It's japanese name is "Dark Mewtwo". In colo/XD they were known as shadow pokemon in english and dark pokemon in japanese. The word used in japanese is literally the english word dark so it had nothing to do with translation.

Dark was originally localised as shadow because in english there were already dark type pokemon so "dark pokemon" would be ambiguous. However, if this was a one-off pokken exclusive boss, Dark Mewtwo wouldn't be a confusing name in english. They could have also chosen something like "black mewtwo".

This could mean we might be seeing a new shadow pokemon game with shadow mega evolutions being triggered by stones like the orange one in shadow Mewtwo's chest.

I don't think Shadow Pokemon are a good idea for a main series game. Not only would they end up cmpeting with other features (mainly Mega evolutions), but also it's a lot harder to make them work, when you have a lot more options of catching Pokemon normally.
Colosseum/XD didn't give you much in regards to wild/non-Shadow-Pokemon, so you got the time to do all the purifying, but in a main series title, either all Pokemon would need to be made Shadow-y, or it could end up as a feature that nobody really cares about, because of the ability to catch almost unlimited amounts of wild Pokemon that aren't Shadow Pokemon and that don't need to be purified.
If you limit the Shadow status to certain Pokemon, the feature could easily feel underused and then people would complain about the feature not being used enough.

I played XD and Colosseum. Shadow Pokemon were pretty cool. :)

I would love for them to bring them back, but never as an official type. I also think that the shadow type is meant to fit the storyline of the Colosseum franchise and wouldn't really make a lot of sense in the main games, but that doesn't mean that gamefreak can't make new games where shadow Pokemon, snag balls, purification and the like fit in perfectly.
