dude i never said this team is good, and for spikes to hurt me, my shedinja has to be switched in, so since it goes first anyways spikes wont hurt it...
here is wut usually happens: 1 pokemon is going after smeargle and the other is going after shedinja: shedinja uses protect, smeargle uses spore on the pokemon going after shedinja. smeargle takes the hit and dies, thus screwing over the combo.
    Fixed.

  • Changing the quote, bolding the changes, and putting "Fixed" in the messages isn't like changing the quote and putting stuff like "I'm a fag".

    I post where I want.

  • No clue if this was the reason or not, but on Smogon it says...

    Stupidity is a bannable offense.

Not sure if that's why, might be.

Don't overgeneralise you. I can't believe you're even asking. Smeargle should have salac. Spore, sub, drum, pass. Get the speed and the attack. Problem solved.

  • Smeargle needs the Salac Berry to pass on if he can't get a Drum in, or, so he can get a quick Spore in, the Focus Band would be pointless if he is to outclassed by everything, and it won't always work.

We shall refrain from arguing now oh almighty Panther admin.

Not everyone uses Tyranitar and not everyone Spikes either.

Against anyone without TTar or a Spiker it could work out pretty well.

Fighting is still a very common type though but it's predictable.

When your strategy is completely ruined by common elements of the battling system, your strategy is utter Schei?e.

The only good way I can see Sheddy working is in tandem with a Mean-Look-passing Umbreon so that you know the opponent can't attack Shedinja with an effective attack.

Fighting types almost always have an STAB Fighting move and Shadow Ball or HP Ghost. Bye, bye, Sheddy.

    Smeargle @ Salac
    252 PhAt / 252 Spd / 6 HP
    - Belly Drum
    - Endure
    - Baton Pass
    - Return / Spore

I like this one better, since whenever someone sees Smeargle, they'll just trump you with something faster. Endure solves that.

  • The strategy revolves around luck dude.... =_='

I think we all KNEW that Fighters have Fighting moves. Hence the FIGHTING TYPE.

And we know they have Ghost moves, so they can HIT THEM.

Doesn't mean a Fighter will screw it up though, some people make their pokemon to overspecialised and leave behind things, such as Ghost coverage.

Ages ago I battle a guy who couldn't touch my Gengar with his overspecialised Miltank, who he was using as a Curselax counter at the time..

    Good ol' RSbot eh..

Take your logic one step further, and notice how Ghost moves will KO Sheddy.

Fighting types are one of the following (almost always):
    > choice banded
    > sub-puncher
    > reversal user

All of the above have Ghost type moves. Quelle surprise.

Notice how Miltank is a Normal type. It often has similar limitations as Blissey (i.e. Seismic Toss is the only damage-dealing move). Cursetank is also a common variation, which can't hit Gengar, either. What was your point?

  • Cursetank hits Gengar you wank.

    SHADOW BALL.

And most Normal types can be played as Fighters, that's why I used Mil as an example.

Cursetanks set should be: CURSE/RETURN/SHADOW BALL/MILK DRINK

Anything else is not worth using.

If you know the opponent will kill Sheddy you switch out.

And the point of it is to transform Sheddy into a Normal type, giving him one weakness, and it ain't Ghost.

If you know the opponent will kill Sheddy you switch out. I think we should just face it, that shedinja is not useable in competive battles. I mean, this gives them a free sub or set up or attack, you know?

And the point of it is to transform Sheddy into a Normal type, giving him one weakness, and it ain't Ghost.Um, which is fighting, which from your earlier point, fighting pokemon screw over. Right?
