I knew that- I click Ctrl+S to save, because it never failed on me... except that time I used Notepad to edit my file (dumbest rom thing I ever did... except making Route 1 have level 100 pokemon and you get Magikarp!)

Ok, that's a glitch, you are supposed to go to Burned Tower first.

Its the middle switch right switch then the left switch, for all your Pokemon Shiny Gold problems, look at a Youtube walkthrough by a person named Vergfox. Sorry don't no how to apply spoilers

It does but only works with Fire Red right now
