Same i was like wtf? but i think its if you had one ultra ball and used it

yep... when pokemon evolves do NOT press anything

I think this belongs in the shiny gold help thread. also do you have shiny gold beta 5 or 5x, because my starter evolved fine in 5x, but couldn't evolve in 5.
 
A couple real simple questions... please don't tell me where, just provide a yes or no awnser thanks. (reply ASAP, im leaving tommorow morning and am hoping to know for the 5 hour trip.) [btw. AMAZING work on shiny G, greatest hack ive played thus far]

-Is there Trapinch?
-Is there Kabuto/Omanyte?
-Are there baby pokemon? (Elekid, Magby, etc)
-I know all of Kanto isnt done yet, but is it possible to fight Ash? (best battle in all the games i think xD)
-Is there a mew, mewtwo, zapdos, moltres, articuno, ho oh, and lugia?
-(im probley forgetting a lot..) so could someone list all the DRAGON types available? thanks. (Drgn FTW!)
-Aaand approximately how many pokemon are in this game? i understand the original jhoto, and some hoenn, but approx. what amount total are there of diff. pokemon?

1. I think so, look carefully on Routes and Caves. Try looking in dirks walkthroughm it might say.
2. No.
3. Yes, breed pokemon for them.
4. No.
5. Ho-Oh yes, the rest no.
6. I think nearly all of them (Dratini, Bagon, Trapinch (the dragon children) I think... Rayquaza, no.)
7. Cannot be exact, but why does it matter exactly how many?
 
I just want to say that if you don't talk to the guy with professer oak, you starter cant evolve yet
 
Havent played in a long time, nor have I been on PC in a long time. Is Shiny Gold still in B5?
 
I'm having difficulty saving. Hiroshi Sotomura's guide on how to make it possible to save doesn't take into account the Mac version of VisualBoyAdvance, which from what I have noticed, does not seem to have an option of saving the game using Flash 128K.

An suggestions on how to save?

I don't really like this idea but what about using No$GBA?
 
Where in Cerulean Gym is the Machine Part? And why is it that the Rocket event in Cerulean Gym hasn't been triggered? And why am I not getting a Pokebeeper message from Elm about the GS Ball or the Ghostbuster?

I don't think there is a Mac version No$GBA.

EDIT!: The newest version (1.7.4 i think) of Visual Boy Advance (Mac) does not have the function to save as 128K, but Version 1.6a + 1.7.2 both do. (Not sure about other versions)

I'm just asking about this because I already beat Surge, Sabrina, and Erika, as well as Ashlee outside Saffron City, Jess/Jamie in Silph Co (and gotten the Ghostbuster) and Carlos outside Cerulean Gym...and while in Cerulean I'm supposed to get a beep from Elm about the GS Ball and the S.S. Aqua II.
