That egg hatching trick doesn't work. I got a Lickitung eggs, moved a few thousand steps, saved 3 steps before it hatched, tried a few times, and I kept on getting a female Lickitung with a Docile nature and 10 HP. Not shiny. And yes, it was on LeafGreen.

How do you get Shiny Starting Pokemon and Shiny Legendarys?

well to get a shiny Starter/Legendary you have to save before you meet them then check if its shiny if not then reset and try again, then keep doing it untill it is shiny. It takes a lot of time but its worth it in the end i spose

LOL. I was training my Drat, then it got poisoned and used its Shed Skin to recover. I couldn't help thinking to myself, "what if it sheds its shininess? o.o" XD! (I know it doesn't happen, but it would suck if your game hated you that much.)

Sure! Go for the lesser of the two blackish shiny dragons. ;) Still a pretty good shiny. :)
