[Pokémon] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

Question to hunters: Which unreleased shiny would you like to see released?

I believe the shiny pokemon still unobtainable are Chien-Pao, Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, Ting-Lu, Koraidon, Miraidon, Walking Wake, Iron Leaves, Ogerpon, Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Terapagos, Iron Crown, Iron Boulder, Pecharunt, Kubfu, Urshifu, Zarude, Calyrex, Glastrier, Spectrier, Enamorus, Melmetal, Cosmos, Cosmeon, Marshadow, Volcanion, Hoopa, Magearna, Pokeball Vivillion and Victini. Correct me, if I missed somebody, or if some of these can be caught or received through an event I don't know about though.

Of the shiny locked mons, which appeals to you most? I really love the shinies of the paradox duo, especially the stunning platinum-colored Miraidon, and would like that legally.

Was looking for a Shiny Sneasel to use on an alternate Secret Base team when I stumbled upon a 5% Larvitar. Also found a Shiny Zubat in LeafGreen the other day (not pictured).

Additionally, I checked those Zangoose I found while hunting Nuzleaf a little while back via third party software and one's a would-be Glistening (Square) Shiny!

Not sure about the rest, but Shiny Enamorus was recently made available through HOME as a Pokédex reward.

I can't say that I'm especially interested in any of them, but I guess Chien-Pao if I had to choose one. Definitely prefer its non-Shiny colors, but as someone who wanted a snow leopard Pokémon for a while (and would still like to see a non-Legendary one), I may have attempted hunting it had it not been for the Shiny lock.

Either Volcanion or Iron Leaves I guess? Would kinda prefer to hunt for one myself so I'm not that fond of the the event distribution shinies. Though I'll still try and snag them if I can.

----------------------------------------------------

I went on a bit of an unintended shiny catching spree in Let's Go Eevee. Basically I was gathering version exclusives for a potential trade and I was using both a Catch combo of 11 and Max Lures to get Pinsir to spawn... funnily enough I caught 3 shinies before I even caught a Pinsir @_@ (first Pinsir ran away from me though)
Catch combo of 11 isn't even the best odds for shiny hunting in this game... 31 is. I did 11 as it's the best for getting rare spawns to show up and you don't need any higher for just that.

Anyway first I saw this:
Spoiler:

Kanto Tauros is a new shiny for me so that's a score.
Then the next volunteer showed up:
Spoiler:

Already completed the Chansey line, but oh well. Can't isolate your targets in this game so this being my only repeat isn't bad at all.

And after my first Pinsir fleeing, but before a second one could spawn I see 1 more shiny:

Spoiler:

Kinda messed up the screenshot timing, but you can still see it in front of Dragonite's head.

I then went on a tour around the region looking for item drops for money and as I exit Cycling Pokemon Road, I see another shiny:

Spoiler:

Had no Lure or Catch combo active for that one at all. Just the shiny charm at work =3

And with 2 shiny Pidgeys to my name now I went to Route 1 to see if I could force a 3rd. Also don't have the Rattata or Bellsprout lines at all yet so any of them would do, but:
Spoiler:

Pidgey line complete

I then went to Diglett's cave for the simple reason of it almost being an isolation hunt.... 85% of encounters are Diglett here =3

Spoiler:

Built up my catch combo on the Digletts here so I could just keep going after catching it. Eventually another one showed:
Spoiler:

Diglett line complete. Still need another Alolan one, or Alolan Dugtrio, but I'll worry about that some other time.

I then went to a different place to see if I could get something new. Nothing but Nidorans, Rattatas and Spearows here... and Dragonites/Charizards in the sky. Would prefer Rattata or Spearow/Fearow here though. One shows up:
Spoiler:

The next day I build up a new Catch Combo and eventually something sparkles again... Spearow again =O
Spoiler:

Well... Spearow line complete =P

Summaries part 1:
Spoiler:

Summaries part 2:
Spoiler:

Fearow's Summary:
Spoiler:

Had no intention of shiny hunting in this game yet.... guess the game disagreed with me =P
This is all for now though.... need to get back to PLA.

Question to hunters: Which unreleased shiny would you like to see released?
Victini! We are long overdue for this as it was made catchable ages ago. It also has a great shiny with the red-white-blue theme.

My Shiny Status: For my 2025 shiny bingo card (that I am having trouble editing), I have now obtained a shiny Feraligatr (Pokémon Go Community Day) and Druddigon (Pokémon Go egg hatch). Not sure if Go counts, but I will mark them for myself as obtained unless I otherwise obtain them in a console game).

:feraligatr-shiny: :druddigon-shiny:

My additional shiny captures this month:

Mass Shiny Outbreak event in Violet:
  1. Smoliv (2)
  2. Scyther (1.5ish) - the first shiny Scyther actually flew away from me! I was able to avenge the lost shiny in about 30 minutes due to boosted event odds.
  3. Porygon (2)
  4. Applin (3) - I had to obtain one for each evolution (Flapple, Appletun, and Hydrapple)
Random Encounters in Violet:
  1. Gothitelle - This one I did not see because Gothitelle is a subtle shiny (eyes change from blue to red). She was obviously blocking my path in a narrow part of the cave and I didn't want to battle one, then Auto Battle had failed! Surprise shinies are the best.
  2. Smoliv - I found a random shiny right after healing up my Pokémon.
  3. Makuhita - this shiny was randomly in a ditch/hole in the digsite area. I just happened to turn the camera and notice it.
Here is a clip of the shiny surprise Gothitelle menacingly blocking my path.

My static Alpha shiny hunt in PLA has finally paid off:
Spoiler:

Funnily, I ended up getting the shiny I wanted the most form the route I was running over & over (due to being a new PLA mon). The route was initially Alpha Sneasel -> Alpha Mamoswine -> Alpha Gardevoir -> Alpha Abomasnow -> Alpha Glalie -> Alpha Swinub -> Alpha Piloswine.
At a certain point I kept the route going and added -> Alpha Electabuzz -> Alpha Lucario -> Alpha Garchomp -> Alpha Froslass.

Size comparison of the player with Alpha Hisuian Sneasel and Sneasler:
Spoiler:

Probably would've helped to have had the shiny charm.... too early in the game for that still though.
Had the dex entry perfected for all of these though, so that's 1 in 1024.38 odds. Just sucks you can only roll them once without either leaving or sleeping for 2 days @_@

hello!!!
this is my first post on here of hopefully many more to come!
last month was probably the luckiest i have ever been in terms of shiny hunting, as i was blessed with 5 entire full odds shinies, some of which i've always wanted to have! the first one is a swablu i found in my pokemon x version while grinding hordes on route 21.

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

some may argue that horde shinies are not full odds, but i personally consider horde hunting to basically be the same as multi system hunts. you're not directly increasing the directly odds per se, merely increasing the amount of pokemon you see at the same time, making hunts sometimes go by faster.
in any case, i quite like swablu's shiny colours! it's a very pleasant shade of yellow, and makes for quite the nice motif with the cloudy wings.
i kinda realised retroactively that i actually have a bit of a storied past when it comes to this particular shiny, it just keeps unexpectedly coming back into my life somehow.
shiny swablu was one of the first shiny forms i ever saw because of a pokemon-platinum-expansion-tcg-cardlist-poster i used to have, a set in which it's one of the three secret rares. it was also the first shiny i ever got in pokemon go at a time when they were only first being introduced to the game.
needless to say, i've grown quite attached to shiny swablu. i might even use this particular one during a future playthrough.

the second shiny i found this month is a shiny sneasel!

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

sneasel is one of my absolute favourite pokemon. i love this weasel cat youkai thing so much. its shiny colours took me a while to get used to, but nowadays, it's one of my favourite shinies ever. the hot pink and orangish yellow are such a drastic change from its original edgy color scheme of black/dark blue and red, topped off with the light blue gems, and it somehow works? this one's a male too, meaning that the feather on its head is longer and further accentuates the asymmetry in the design, which i adore. though this is rendered kinda moot by the fact that i evolved it...

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~
(note: i ended up renaming him beacause i wasn't satisfied with the original name)
yeah so the status screen said it likes to battle so i thought it would be fitting to both train him up and unlock his full combat potential by evolving him into a weavile, a pokemon that i also do quite like in its own right, especially with the sprite it has in hgss. i ev trained him in both speed and attack, and he will make for a powerfull ally within the battle frontier.

this month also marked the first time i ever got a gen 3 game!
i managed to procure a firered for an unreasonably reasonable price, and decided that my first playthrough of this game would be a dream team quest, the first member of which is this shiny charmander!

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

charmander is another one of my absolute favourite pokemon, and shiny charizard has my absolute favourite shiny ever (pretty basic, i'm aware). i quite like the gold on this little guy, but you really have to see it in person to truly understand how vibrant this shade is. game boy advance games were intentionally made quite saturated in order to be better visible on the backlightless screen of the original wide model, so his vivid gold really stands out on a ds screen. i actually ended up putting in the time to ev train him as soon as possible as to not waste potential points on stats he wouldn't really take advantage of. due all the grinding i had to do, and the fact that i played through the first section of this game with pretty much just this guy on my team, he ended up fully evolving into charizard before the third gym.

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

i don't really feel i need to elaborate on why i like this shiny so much, it just looks really neat. combing black/dark blue with red is just a perfect recipie for making your pokemon look incredibely cool in certain way. seeing these colours on the inconic frlg sprite fills me with tremendous joy, and i'm very grateful it only took me 2235 resets to get him. getting this shiny charizard truly was a dream come true.

and then i got a shiny graveler in my heartgold

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

not exactly what i had in mind when i started hunting on route 45, but a pretty shiny nevertheless. this guy snuk up on me while i was listening to ronald's theme from the pokemon tcg gb game, which probably has one of the most underrated soundtracks in video game history. seriously, there are so many great tracks in this game, i highly recommend anyone who's got the time to give this ost a listen! i actually nearly ended up missing him because i was trying to remove some marker that had gotten on my teacup for, uh, reasons, and only realised this guy had appeared when i was about to get up. i ended up employing the help of my trusty quagsire in order to prevent any 'unfortunate developments', and ended up catching him in a heavy ball. overall, i'm quite pleased with this shiny! i feel like getting a shiny graveler or geodude is kind of like a rite of passage for any aspiring shiny hunter due to how common these two are in the first four generations, and also in how they teach the valuable lesson of always being prepared for every given encounter on the route you're currently hunting on due to their tendency to blow up.

oh and i also ended up getting my actual target.

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

gligar! what a silly guy! it's one of those fun gen 2 one stage cryptids that would eventually get an evolution. i really like its design, it's such a non threatning looking pokemon for something that is based on both a quite threatning animal (the flying scorpion) and alien facehuggers of all things. its regular colours used to be notouriously inconsistent, ranging from a variety of pinks and purples, but its shiny had always stayed within the lines of greyish blues. a very pretty shiny!
i ended up evolving this one too actually.

[PokeCommunity.com] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

gliscor is one of my favourite cross gen evolutions, though i like it for pretty different reasons compared to gligar. where as gligar is cute and silly, gliscor leans far more into actually genuinely looking like a powerful threat, especially with its edgy colorscheme. it's also really fun to use in battle! gliscor is incredibely versatile due to its stats, typing, moveset and its later on introduced hidden ability, allowing it to be tanky, hit hard, have a lot of utility, and also be suprisingly fast at the same time. what were we talking about again? oh, right, shiny pokemon! gliscor has a really interesting shiny, turning a very specific shade of blue. this, combined wih the black cape and the yellow highlights makes for quite the striking appearance! i actually ended up preparing some moon balls for this specific occasion beacause their colour perfectly matches shiny gliscor, and it looks great! i'm very much looking forward to taking on the battle tower with him once i get the rest of the team assembled!

aaaaand that's march all wrapped up! again, this is probably the luckiest i have ever been, maybe even the luckiest i will ever be in terms of shiny hunting. i had been hunting on and off in both my 8192 and 4096 for the past few years, and it was a very welcome suprise to see four shinies from the former category after not getting any since, uh, may of last year apparently. some kind of curse must have been laid upon my ds games that had finally been lifted by the appearance of a pink sneasel.
part of the reason for why i hunted so much last month is because i don't actually know how much time i'll have in the near future, so i tried to put in my all as long as things were a bit more certain. if i do find any shinies though, i'll make sure to post them on here eventually!
anyways, that's all from me. good luck and happy hunting!

Sneasel and Gligar are so gorgeous! <3

Nothing since Larvitar, but here are some Secret Base teams I made with my full-odds Shinies if any ORAS players want to add my base. The first three teams are based on "Pokémon I've seen IRL" (but Shiny), fourth my most sentimental Shinies (that could be sent to ORAS), fifth general faves, and sixth Pokémon I feel others may associate more with me (though I may still continue hunting a male Sneasel for the latter).

Took a while but my static Alpha grinding has paid off again... shiny Alpha Onix:

Spoiler:

It dwarfs the player character lol, biggest Alpha yet.
Spoiler:

Seems to have shrunk a bit after evolving into Steelix... still big though.
For all the normal shinies I'll probably just do a box overview at the end of my PLA playthrough lol.... too many @_@

I have been doing some Shiny hunting recently and yesterday I finally obtained...Shiny Petilil.

I have already had a Shiny Petilil spawn twice but she ran away and disappeared both times before I could catch. This time however I managed to catch and she is now a Shiny Hisuian Lilligant which is the same colouration as regular Unovan Lilligant.

I now have a Shiny version of both Lilligant forms.

I've been resetting for the static Alpha Gardevoir after clearing an Massive Mass Outbreak that spawned in it's location. It feels like it took forever, but today it finally happened:
Spoiler:

I had to ignore 10 or 11 other shinies that showed up along the way. 1 or 2 Kirlias, 1 Ralts and a whole bunch of Aipoms and Ambipoms.
I ignored them because I didn't want to reset for the right MMO outbreak again to reset the soft reset hunt.

There was 1 shiny I did not ignore though, forcing me to reset the hunt once:
Spoiler:

Yep... one of the Aipom/Ambipom spawns decided to spawn a random shiny Alpha long before Alpha Gardevoir decided to be shiny @_@

Well this was completely unintentional, but I found a shiny Zubat today in my Emerald nuzlocke run.
Spoiler:

I have shiny clause on because I thought "well the odds are 1 in 8192, there's no way I'm actually finding a shiny." Well here we are. I almost always run the game at 2x speed, but oddly enough, this just so happened to be a rare moment that I was playing at regular speed when I found the shiny Zubat.

This is the first shiny I've found all year so far (aside from the ones in PoGo, which I'm not counting here). I haven't had much time to play my games, and the one time I did try to hunt for shiny Dhelmise, no dice.
