Why do you never believe us? I'm trying to helping you out. That is a real sprite from the game, and Pelipper was not programed to be avalible in Sootopolis. The facts are right in front of your face. I just can't understand. Also its not like I think I know everything I went and resherched before writing my posts. Also I'm sticken up for facts not that guy. And again also Jorah that is the exact site I got the sprite from.

i dont belive one of you and and go to the site google and type in shiny bulbasaur and you will see a blue 1 and 4 the last time i found a pelipper at sootapolis im sick of this! <:0]
 
Shiny bulbasaur is green,but i tried a google image search on 'shiny bulbasaur' and i found one picture of a bulbasaur that was blue...the rest had green bulbasaurs however..

You guys can check yourselves if you dont believe me..

I have a shiny Crawduant (evolved from my shiny corphish) and a shiny Illumise both in my Ruby version ^_^

No one believed you bud. All he said is that there is ONE picture of a green Bulbasaur. In the REAL game however, it is green.

Just to clear that Blue Bulbasaur thing up, it was a recolor request on another forum. It was not found in a game. Shiny Bulbasaur is lighter green, as posted.

I just found a shiny Abra on Route 24 (oddly, it was slower than my Lv18 Oddish)

i just want to say im sorry for the things i said i am escpeacilly sorry to you melee master shiny pokemon and giovanni and im sorry for these reasons 1 just because i found a pelipper does not mean you will and about the blue bulbasaur im sorry and i will never i hope get in a fight again
 
OMGZ! *Spazz attack*! I found my first shiny in the advanced versions today! =D It's a shiny Pidgeotto. I found it near bond bridge in Firered. Too bad it has a sucky nature. <.< Oh well... it still looks pwnsome! =D It has a pretty, gold-ish colour. <3

The reason for why one of the Bulbasaurs was blue is very simple. It was a simple recolour, anyone could do that.
I could make a yellow Tyranitar sprite, but that doesn't mean a shiny Tyranitar really is yellow. And I highly doubt Nintendo would use default paint colours for their sprites.
 
I'm trying to get a shiny bulbasaur also. I have some questions.

1. Are there any tips to get it to appear faster?
2. Can you see its shiny on the picture that comes up before you accept it as your starter from Oak on FR/LG?
3. What is the average time it takes to get it?
 
I think the chances of finding a shiny Pokemon is 1 in 8556.
 
I ment the average time in hours and days, and any help on the other questions, these are more for people who have already done it.

1. Nope, you'll just have to soft reset untill you get one

2. No. The Pokémon's DVs, Nature and gender value (which determines whether a Pokémon is shiny and what gender it is) aren't determined before you answer yes to Prof.Oak asking you whether you'll choose that Pokémon.

3. There really isn't an average time. Some people get it in matter of hours, others have spent weeks without getting a shiny starter.
 
Thank you very much, Now that I know what i have to do I will go try some more. I hope I get it soon. I've been at it for 3 days, well over all like 5-6 hours.
 
i got a starter shiny

i have a very rare pokemon shiny its a female shiny blazeken:laugh: its awsome and now im looking forward to getting a legendary shiny
