I was fighting the Elite Four and my Shiny Electrode was put to sleep. When I played the PokeFlute to wake him up, it just said "that's a catchy tune!" and didn't wake him up.

Why not?

some pokemon are too strong for the pokeflute. like shinys. either that, or your game is stuffed up. when they are at lvl 100 or something high, they are too strong. that's just my guess.

I didant understand the 2nd part. And would that help me get a shiney Zapdos?

yes. ANY shiny pokemon you can find using that method. atleast any of the kanto pokemon. even mewtwo. and yes. even zapdos. once again, warning:it may take you 50 hrs to do it. like it took me that long for shiny lugia.

oh, and sorry for super spamming(sort of spamming), but you may do that method but not using rock tunnel. when i got my AR system, i cought shiny lugia and shiny pikachu in other places. like i found a shiny onix yesterday, but couldnt catch it.

This may be related to the fact that 2 shineys can't breed, it might be their EV/IV's

i caught a shiny pikachu 2 days ago, and it led me out of victory road running. yay! i cought it!

i once cought a shiny lugia 3 yrs ago, at 8 island. it was so hard, i had to catch it with my 2nd master all. i ran out of my 97 ultra balls, :S even paralyzed it.

this is how i plan my shiny pokedude catching:

1.run around in circles, anywhere in islands 1-7,NOT Islands 8-9

2.go in the safari zone and out and in and out x2, once you're in your third time, go to ther back then there will be a cave. go through and you will find 2-5 shiny pokemon. i found 2. dunsparce and haunter.

3.if you don't find your shiny you want, you may walk around with wobbuffet atleast lvl 60 or + in rock tunnel. WARNING AND SIGN OF DEATH:it may take you over 50 hrs to catch even 1 shiny in there, but eventually it will work.

that's how i do it. i REALLY want a shiny bagon/beldum.

What cave? Do I got in the Safari zone 3 times and then fly some place?
So I need an action replay for this?

no. i am just saying that i caught shiny lugia with the AR. (the only way you can get it or using the wireless adapter.)and like i said, you may find any kanto pokemon using that method. and some johto ones. NOT any hoenn ones. waste of time.

But what cave? And I havent got the national dex yet on my new save file.

I only have one thing to say to this: What. The. Flarp? o.o Two shinies can breed, it just doesn't make the baby shiny. And I don't see what the heck that has to do with the Pokéflute not waking up his Electrode. -.-

As for the Electrode question, the reason Electrode didn't woke up is that it has Soundproof, which blocks the effect of the Pokéflute.

Errr. Sorry, What? O.o; Confused here...

Yeah, I got the two names mixed up, fixed it now.

I'm looking for the shiny Swablu now, might take some time.

But what cave? And I havent got the national dex yet on my new save file.

you must beat the E4 though, cuz you never know when it could be... let's just say a shiny larvitar. you will hear the cry, but it will appear as like a black larvitar. no picture. just the shape of larvitar in black. if you catch it even witha master ball, you WILL catch it, but, like, it will runaway straight away. it will say that you caught it, but it wont be there. so you need the national dex to do it. i know you're eargent, but you need patience. it's essential for this method. trust me. with the "but what cave?" i mean rock tunnel B4 ceriliun city.

I ran round in circles on island 1, went to the safari zone paid got in walked out paid aagain and again when i was in the 3rd time i flew to the pokemon centre next to rock tunnel went in rock tunnel and all i found is zubats and geodude.

Dude, just ignore him, there is no way to boost your chances of finding a shiny, The ONLY way to find it is to run in the grass and every time you encounter you have a 1 in 8192 chance. There is no other way, If you looked at a post about a page back, a guy also says the what this Ltr_17 person said was incorrect, seriously, ltr_17 I don't know where your getting this info, but it's wrong, maybe you should check your sources...

Although, The only way to get your shiny Zapdos, is to save infront of him, then talk to it, when the battle starts, see if he's shiny, if he isn't Soft reset (A + B + START + SELECT) and try again, I tried this with Groudon, but I gave up, It takes WAY to long, and is extremely BORING!

It's been 12 days since i started looking for zappy!

Well that means you've had an unlucky streak, but have you used any GS or AR? because I've hear they screw up things in your game, and they could be screwing up yours, I doubt it but I think you've just been unlucky, If I were you, I'd just go for a modest Zapdos, with decent IVs.

I seriously doubt it, the only reason your cousin has so many shinies is because he has played for 800 hours and is extremely lucky, BTW you can't find shiny larvitar's in rock tunnel, you can only find it at Seavault Canyon.

Anyway, back on track: I got my first shiny, Woot!, it's a staryu! although he has the crappest nature and IVs, ahwell, atleast I got one!
