Should Jessie and James Return?

    While you can say Team Rainbow Rocket is a different "Rocket" then the original team am I the only person that wish Jessie and James made a return with this team. Meowth can't be a problem because he's already in the game! It would have been great to see two classic characters from the past as Ultra Sun and Moon is about celebrating the past with the past bosses from the past 20 years including the legendary Pokemon which includes Mewtwo (thank goodness).
     
    Jesse and James only appeared as a result of the Anime in pokemon Yellow. The Pokemon Video games is in no way what so ever connected in laws of pokemon battles or storylines as the anime. So, Jesse and James does not exist. Same reason why Ash and Red are two completely different characters. There are very few characters that cross over both worlds.Like Giovanni, Nurse Joy and Professor Oak.
    So I doubt they would ever return.
     
    Actually Ash did exist in Sun and Moon or you wouldn't be receiving a message from him alongside Ash-Greninja.

    On the other hand it's an multiversal-game, so I would say Jessie and James exist. Just if they should appear in USUM, I was hoping to see them again but I guess it didn't happen.
     
    Keep the anime in the anime and the games in the games. Yellow is an acceptable exception because that's what it's based on entirely, but I really hope we won't see anime bits popping up in the games ever again.

    AGREED! It's one thing to get bonuses like ash-greninja and ash-hat pikachu (which tbh I'm not even a big fan of) but I prefer the world of the games to be separate from the anime.
     
    Yeah. Jessie and James should never be in pokemon games again. I am not a fan of them since they had been overused in the anime. Ash is not canon to the main games. Red is his counterpart for the games.
     
    I'd personally love that...
