Miruka happened to realize that Ryne and Cascade talking to him.. He examined them from top to toe then answered.. {You two don't look like you can be trusted...} After that.. he turned away and ignored them..

Silver was totally enraged.. She raised her voice and scolded Jena.. "Yes.. I'm a gym leader's daughter.. Do you have to add so surprised? I bet you know it already.. Do you have to act like you don't? You.. hypocrite.. You don't have to fake it.. You're trying to make me go over the moon because you praised me on my helmet.. and hopefully I'll take it off and give it to you.. and that Rai guy there.. You purposely asked me about my helmet cause you pretty much want me to take off the helmet for you.. You're just an average looking guy.. There's so many guys out there who looks like you.. You're not very good-looking so don't expect me to do anything of that sort for you.. All of you people are no different from everyone out there.. Why do all of you want to find out the contents beneath the helmet? Can't I even have my own privacy? It's not against the law to ask for some privacy, or is it?"

She calmed down a little before continuing with her rant. "Did I say that you offend me? I didn't!! Why do you have to make me sound so unreasonable? Am I that unreasonable? And tha..t Rai guy... have to deny trying to steal Yukari.. This place is so... I can't explain.. I just hate this place.. I'm leaving this place right now.." Silver finished her rant with teary eyes.. She seriously didn't expect the world outside the gym to be like that..

{I knew you people wouldn't be up to any good..} Miruka muttered as he glared at Cascade and Ryne.. {See.. Your trainers made Silver cry..} he commented as he walked towards his trainer.. He looked at Yukari who was busy chatting with her new friends and shooked his head.. {Not again..}

"Shut up!" Maxie shouted irratably, "just shut up!" She glared at Silver, her arms shaking. Don't hit her... she thought bitterly, Whatever you do, don't hit her.
The girl punched her hands together instead. "Stop faffing, you spoilt little girl! This is the real world, and unless you control that ugly little tongue of yours, I'm gonna beat you to tim-buck-two." she spat. Fang gave a little squeak of suprise.
{Maxie, you sound just like Kosloski!}
"Like father, like daughter!" she sneered at him, and the little bat cowered under her gaze.

It took a minute or two for Maxie to get a grip on herself. She did sound just like her foster father... But that Silver was just too much! Maxie didn't paticularily like Rai, but he was a good boy that wouldn't steal a paperclip, and as for his looks... well, there was nothing wrong with him. If Maxie had grown up normally, she might have even referred to him as 'eye candy'. But she hadn't, and hence had no interest in the opposite gender.
Still... she had sounded scarily like Kosloski....and Silver was hardly ugly... but it felt so good to rant and rave at someone! Silver had acted like a brat, and needed to be put in place.
Fang watched her fearfully, his ears fixed on his trainer's face. At least she had calmed down... Whenever she got angry, it gave him a sick feeling in his stomach, with nausea caused by worry and concern.

Kayley was quite confused as Silver began to rant. Apparently she was very touchy about her helmet, and even a few questions about it were enough to set her off, and by the way she spoke, Kayley felt as if the girl had lost all trust in them whatsoever, unless there was a possibility that it hadn't been there at all?

Either way, for some reason she felt that she should say something.

"You know, Silver.. If you really wanted us to stop asking about your helmet, all you had to do was say so, and we would have stopped," Kayley began, not really sure of what to say, exactly. "We are perfectly capable of respecting your privacy. Oh yes, and it just so happens that Rai did not steal Yukari. She flew over to him and landed on his arm, so it was just a misunderstanding." Kayley finished, trying to muster a smile, but failed, for some reason.


Fishy continued to observe from his post on Kayley's shoulder, having shifted his gaze onto Miruka, once he had noticed the Bagon.

At Miruka's last comment, the Mudkip twitched with some sort of emotion that he had never felt before.

{Excuse me..} He said, turning towards the Bagon, yet not leaving Kayley's shoulder. {But I do believe that our Trainers had no intention of making your Trainer cry.} He said firmly. {Can't you see that they were just trying to make conversation?}

Kayley suddenly noticed the anger in her Mudkip, turning her head to look at him. She couldn't help but feel a bit worried.. Fishy had never, ever expressed negative emotions of any sort in his life, even until now..

"OH! How could I forget about Maxie's Ralts! Now I feel like an idiot...," Zachary said to Kayley after she reminded him. However, before he coud go on, an odd argument began to erupt from Silver and the others.

Blinking from a bit of confusion, Zachary was at a loss to know what to do. He had broken up a good deal of fights in his time, but they were all over stupid things, not hurt feelings over a helmet. He looked over to Rai for some assurance in the situation, but then felt Ron nudge him on his leg. He looked down.

{Do something; Maxie looks like she's gonna kill her, Kayley looks worried, and Jena's not too happy either,} Ron said, pointing to the angered girl.

Luka ruffled her fur and looked at the Bagon with a flat expression. She really didn't care about any of them, so it didn't really matter to her.

"Um," began Zachary, moving himself between the two groups of girls, "Now come on girls, there's really no need to get mad at Silver. She just misunderstood, and I'm sure we've all done that before, right? And Silver, for what it's worth, I had no idea you were a gym leader's daughter, and I really don't care whether you wear a helmet, a beanie cap, or a cheeze hat; to me you just look like a regular girl." He laughed nervously, unsure of how this was going to go. He also had the intense urge to just run out of the place and get a smoothie or something.
 
OOC: Pwhee! Finally have the time to write again. ^^

As for the metagaming thing...erm...Flissie, ground ain't weak against Steel, and Water resists it. Your Iron Tail would be pathetically weak. XP

Oh, and the Dunsparce is as done as I can get it at the moment, although I'll give it a background when I find the attention span. Take a look and tell me what you think;

Rai was completely speechless at the stream of accusations running from Silver's mouth. It was all because of her helmet or rather, so he realized, what she was hiding under it. But still, he couldn't help growing frustrated with the girl's continously horrendous manners. Compared to her, Maxie was practically a saint, at least she showed some regret over her actions...but not this girl. As Maxie began her own rant and Kaylee made her argument, which was a good bit more civilized than Maxie's, the boy took a step back, wondering what to do. He had never been good at arguments were words went ugly, and he really didn't feel enough sympathy for Silver to stick up for her, not after she had gone and accused him of not only being a thief but a liar as well. The boy peered around the group he was going to travel with, everyone, even Zachary, seemed to have said something on the matter, and Rai felt the pressure to do something himself, although mostly he just wished that the volatile girl would show some manners even once, it was probably wishfull thinking though.

"Excuse me..." Rai said at last, not wanting to let the argument slide out of hand and wanting to step up for Zachary who seemed to be slight at loss as to what to say now. "But I agree with Zachary. We should all just take a step back and put things into proportion before someone walks out of here with a black eye. Silver, for the last time I did not steal your Swablu, as I think you know yourself, he does, as you said, enjoy the company of strangers, and as for your helmet, I only asked you about it because it struck me as a strange thing to wear indoors, and, as Kayley said, if you didn't want to talk about it then you could just have said so. But accusing strangers, of whom you know nothing whatsoever, of being thieves just because you can't keep your Swablu in check is both a rude and immature way to shift attention from it and will only earn you reactions similar to Maxie's. So please...just be honest about what you mean, alright?"

OOC: Aww! It's a cute Dunsparce! It ish soooo cute! =3

*puts her art critic hat on* Ahem. I do love the shading on it Alter! It's very nice. I can't really even see the halftone dots unless I get up close to it. The linework is a little jumbly in a few parts, but that's a skill that even I haven't mastered. XP That and it's really not as bad as I have seen before. Colors are good; and expression is good too. Though, I'm not quite sure what other expressions a Dunsparce can have. ^^; Again, very cute! I like it. ^-^

Erm... as for an IC post... I'm kinda stuck until Fliss posts again... o.o On another note....

Anyhow, yes, I do agree with you on the lining thing. I drew the whole thing with the paintbrush tool in Microsoft Paint so the results are in accordance I'm afraid. Well, I'm glad you liked the shading, I think I spent almost an hour on doing that, it was the most difficult part of the creation process by far. And yes, it's kind of hard to give Dunsparce an expression, isn't it? After all, it's eyes are always closed so the only real variation you can make is wether the mouth is open or closed, and I decided to leave it closed. It was also kind of hard for me to find a pose for the little fellow, so in the end I decided to take it from a Sugimori picture I saw. Dunsparce only has a few poses at its disposal, what with not having any limbs or anything, but it's still cute. Drawing pixel art was kind of fun so I'll probably draw something else too, maybe even post it in the art forum (Now there's something I never thought I'd say. ^^). With your experience Melissa, could you tell me any other pok?mon that wouldn't be too hard to draw? I was thinking maybe Staryu or Ekans might be within range...hmm...

Anyhow, I'll just wait here until someone who has anything IC to say comes and posts.

And yayness for page 10! Pwheee, we're pros! XD

I can't really crit much,except to say, yeah, the lines are jumbly in places, but i don't know how you could fix that other than to use the bezier tool. And that tool is EVIL.}

Maxie blushed, now embarressed at her vicious outburst. Compared to Zachery, Kayley and Rai, who had all managed to keep thier heads, she felt positively savage. She dipped her head in embarresment. "Sorry... I didn't mean you shout, but you really pissed me off!" she snapped. "These guys have been perfectly nice to you, forgiving you after you called Rai a liar...I wouldn't have, if it was up to me! Anyway, now you throw another fit..." Maxie trailed off, apparently fuming. She couldn't stand people like Silver, who assumed every action was one made against them.
She then turned to Zachery, her mouth set. "And...Zack was right, we're hardly gonna start judging you on your clothing style! We couldn't care less what headwear you choose..." she said, very firmly, as if admitting someone other than her was correct was a hard feat. "Anyway... Jena was asking a question! Being a gym leader's daughter isn't that amazing, my real Dad's practically royalty and I'M not fussing about it." she said coldly. She said the word 'Dad' as if she was describing something very mouldy and slimy.
She bit her lip, hoping no one would notice that revelation if she simply ignored her own statement. She didn't paticularily care if these guys fold out; it was old and extremely depressing news.

Fang whimpered. {I think....we should all just....make up?} he whispered, and huddled on his trainer's shoulder.

No, seriously, lemme think... really anything that consists of simple shapes, and doesn't have a lot of things hanging off of 'em or something. Like Marill, starter pokemon like Charmander, those are pretty easy, Jigglypuff, Eevee, *is trying to think of un-girly pokemon ^^;* eh... Voltorb? ^-^; Just experiment, if you start something and it begins to look like an elephant's behind, then you should probably try something else. Unless you're trying to draw an elephant's behind. Then you should keep going. ^__^

OMG! The Bezier tool ish evil Charon! Evil like Physics is to poor Alter and me. >.> Even though I've gotten a bit used to Bezier stuff, it's still evil.

Meh... I've gotta go to class. Be back in roughly two hours. X.X

"Maybe I shoudn't have blamed you about Yukari.. She's kinda rebellious because she wants to fight out battles as a gym leader's pokemon instead of just a normal trainer's pokemon.. It was my master who gave it to me when she took me in.. That's when I undergo trainings and eventually caught Miruka by chance.. But seriously, the reason why I had the thought that you're stealing Yukari is because all her sudden disappearances are to tall grasses, caves or tunnels.. She never, ever went to a trainer before.. I'm sorry about that.. But actually, I think that Zachary guy can actually phrase the words out better than you do.."

{Wow!! Silver actually mentioned me!!} Miruka beamed in some sort of honour when he heard his trainer mention his name in her sentence..

She stared at Kayley for a moment and added in.. "About the helmet.. Isn't it really obvious that I'm definitely putting this helmet on to cover some sort of things that isn't really pleasant from the whole entire world.. Although I've only started wearing this a few days back.. So I don't think I have to be so clear on that.."

The Pokemon too, was starting some kind of argument..

Turning to Fishy, Miruka commented.. {You're so wrong.. Since Silver was young, she had been humiliated about whatever contents that is under her helmet right now.. It was exposed to everyone in the past.. but master gave her a helmet to cover it up.. She was really humiliated till she couldn't take it anymore.. I remembered once... when she locked herself in her room and starved herself for days.. No matter how her master and I had tried to persuade her.. she wouldn't listen.. That Yukari wouldn't care about this though.. He never fails to make her worry or whatsoever.. That Yukari.. rather stay and battle in the gym than follow Silver out for adventures.. When Silver was training in the past, so much time is wasted because Yukari have to play Hide-and-Seek with us.. And so much time is wasted on trying to locate her.. and get her back into the Pokeball.. He kind of like.. depise Silver somehow.. That's what I think..}

Yukari glared at Miruka, who happened to interrupt her conversation… She then decided to voice out her own thoughts.. {Ahem.. Miruka, will it do you any harm if I want you to get away from here.. Can't you see that I'm trying to make some new friends here?}

Miruka glared back at Yukari before adding.. { N..O..NO! I hate the way you treat Silver each time.. The way you tire her out.. Everything you do to her.. I just don't like it.. I don't see what's wrong with being a trainer's Pokemon.. Think about it.. if Silver wins the league and gains glory.. You as one of her Pokemon will gain much glory too.. In that way.. It's better than being just an ordinary gym leader's Pokemon..}

Yukari had to find some way to argue.. {But winning the league.. can she even pass the preliminary rounds? I doubt so.. She's just a girl with weird} Miruka cut her off in time before she went on and blabbered out about the contents beneath Silver's helmet.. He was pretty sure that Silver wouldn't be very happy if everything is been let out..
 
As Silver turning away, Maxie mimed strangling her from behind. Fang giggled, struggling to stiffle the sound with his wings.

The girl shrugged and listened to Silver speak, a look of mild annoyance on her face. It was all very well for her to brush away everyone's complaints like that, but did she reallly expect them to forgive her again? Maxie guessed they would - well, Zachery and Rai certainly would, both being the kind young men they were - but she had now taken a strong dislike to the girl. Maxie was fussy when to came to people. She liked Jena and Kayley; both girls were down to earth, spoke sense, and seemed nice enough. Zack was clumsy, but just as Rai was, he was polite and practical. Sighing, she patted her pokemon absent-mindedly with her gloved hands.

Fang's ears twitched, as he listened to Miruka. Exposed to everyone in the past... he decided not to comment, though his curiousity was an itch he longed to scratch. Miruka scared him, though. She spoke very loudly and seemed very sure of herself. Fang decided he would be much better off hiding behind Maxie.

Anyhow, I've gone and added a background of sorts to the Dunsparce pic. I'll probably go for something more decorative but I'd like to think it isn't half bad.

Rai frowned for a moment as Silver seemed to be absorbing exactly none of the complaints sent her way, although he did note that the girl was acting in a slightly more civil manner now and quickly shifted his expression to neutral again. She must have her reasons... he repeated for himself, closing his eyes for a while to return all the lessons in self-control that he had learned to mind Everyone has their reasons...don't judge before you know them...your actions must never cause regret...

He opened his eyes again, just in time to hear Silver strike up another argument. "In that case, why didn't you just admit it straight of instead of calling it a 'trend'?" he asked, his tone remaining polite even though one skilled at noticing such things would probably have picked up on the irritation behind his words, the slightly strained nature of his politeness... Just when he had thought that the girl was starting to act more normal she had snapped once more. If he hadn't been such a gentleman Rai would probably have torn Silver's helmet of just to see what all the darn fuss was about. But of course, he was a gentleman born and bred and would never do such a thing to a lady, no matter how rude that lady was, instead having to stand there, looking composed as he tried to bite down his more negative emotions.

Chupon blinked at the arguments of Silver's pok?mon, neither of which seemed to possess much more manners than their trainer, as he slowly backed away, not feeling like it was his place to get involved in the argument and climbing up onto Rai's shoulder instead in hopes that the position would make him feel a bit safer around all these agressive people.
 
Maxie nodded. "Mmmhmm. You've made me curious too, now." She didn't expand any further. Maxie was the sort of girl that made her judgements at her first impression - and then refined it with her second one. Right now, she was tempted conjure up some neato ninja style kung-fu from somewhere and hurt Silver as much as possible.. but she couldn't. Of course, she had that mission... with Rai... and the thing...

Fang finally plucked up the courage to address Miruka. {How come you're here, then? Surely working in a gym would be far more fun... than trailing up and down the country.}

At Rai's comment, Silver added.. "It's not that I don't want to say it straight... It's that.. I really don't know how to explain.. serious.. It's that, on my way here... Countless number of people has been trying to make me reveal the contents of the beneath the helmet.. I know all of you people is interested in knowing too.. It's pretty obvious.. Anyone with the right set of mind would want to know about it too.. But trust me.. once yous see it.. You will regret it.. It's not very pleasant... Maybe someday.. When I find all of you people trustworthy enough.. I might consider taking it off in front of you people.. But then, I doubt it will never come.. All of you seem to hate me quite alot.. I.. am.. like... apologetic about this.. I'm born with this kinda weird attitude.. I somehow think that I'm weird from top to toe.. It's like.. Aww.. I just don't know why I'm born like that.. All of you will forgive me.. right?"

Silver's apologetic little speech took Maxie by surprise. What shocked her even more (and made Fang fall off his perch) was what Maxie said in reply.
"Don't worry 'bout it." she muttered, in an off-hand way. Fang gave a little cry of shock. That was probably as close as you would get to forgiveness with Maxie! Silver was a blessed child indeed!
Even though Silver had been adressing Rai, Maxie had listened in. Perhaps it was the 'weird from top to toe' bit, but she had a sudden change of heart. Of course, to the others, she probably seemed as indifferent as ever. Silver was still young, after all. Young people make mistakes.

OOC: The emphasis is on honorary, Flisse. It's like being an honorary doctor, it doesn't mean that you have any qualifications for the job. Anyhow, it was just a random idea. XD

Oh, by the way. What do you think of my Dunsparce, Flissie? *Ish all proud of his first creation and huggles Dunsparce*

"I..." Rai took a moment of pause, smiling inwardly, restraining his temper seemed to have given just enough time for the girl's real self to finally peek out from behind that facade of anger that she seemed so intent to uphold. "I suppose it's allright..." he added after a while, feeling his anger towards Silver dissipate as quickly as it had built up, the boy had never been one to carry grduges anyhow, and certainly not over something as trivial as a few stray words, no matter how insulting they were. "Like Maxie said, don't worry about it. It takes both rain and sunlight to make a rainbow after all." he smiled a bit, unsure if the others would catch onto his metaphor.

Chupon smiled as well, relaxing on his position and sitting down on Rai's shoulder as opposed to the standing position he had held that far, swinging his legs back and forth in the air. {So...are we travelling with them too?} he asked after a pause, smelling another party member coming up.

Flissie's gonna thrash Yibber with meh Pokemon.. Btw, we're actually having a multi-battle.. But meh Stephy(guess what Pokemon she is.. ^^).. is gonna thrash her.. Upon hearing what Chupon asked.. Miruka commented.. {I wouldn't mind actually..}

Yuraki beamed when she realized the high hopes of being able to travel with all her new friends.. That Rai guy looks like he's gonna say a yes..

OOC: So many things to comment on..

First off, Alter, that Dunsparce ish the kewlest! ^_^ That is my raw opinion, so I must say that I suck at critisizing art. And yes, I do believe that I've mispelled critisizing. XD

That reminds me of this big Art exam we had today. Everyone was freaking out over it but it really wasn't all that hard. o_O

Tee hee.. I bet no one can guess what I made for an extra credit sculpture.. XD

And Flissie shall trash Yibber? Kewl. No one ever wants to battle me at school, ever.. And I believe Alter knows why.. XD

Kayley had refrained from saying anything further, wishing for the issue to simply be resolved. She got what she wanted when Silver stunningly came out with an apology, which seemed to change views on the girl in general.

Kayley couldn't help smiling herself. "Yeah, it's all good, Silver. And a rainbow does seem to explain this situation quite well." She added, referring to Rai's statement. "But yes.. It's perfectly alright for you to keep that helmet on. Trust does take a while to build, I guess.." Kayley said, trailing off at the end of her acceptance towards Silver's apology.

As for Fishy, Miruka's words hadn't gotten to him that much. People always told him that he was wrong, usually when he made random statements. He still got the feeling that the Bagon's argument didn't make all that much sense, but he loosened up a bit anyway, never the one to be the end of the game.

The foreign emotion fading away, the Mudkip settled again, once more on the shoulder of his Trainer.

{Well, I'm sorry for what Silver has experienced, but please understand that we didn't wanna make anyone sad.} The Mudkip said, his normal grin returning. {Oh, forget it.. Let's go back to the old topic.. Let's see.. Oh yeah! Now we can all go out for smoothies! As soon as we find the Sephy person.} Fishy wrapped up, bouncing up and down.

Before anyone could do anything, the meaning of Rai's metaphor had finally attracted the Mudkip's attention, since he hadn't really been paying attention to the humans' conversation.

{Rain plus water equals rainbow! Okay, come on Cascade, after we get outside, let's Rain Dance so we can make a rainbow!} He chirped. Now the random side of Fishy had returned.

Jena was speechless as Sliver continued on with her ranting.It made her feel awful inside,making Sliver mad just cause she complimented her on her helmet.Letting the other five talk to the girl while she slowly hung back behind them.

{Rights!}Cascade nodded in agreement as the arguement between Miruka and Yukari ended,the Mudkip wasn't particulary happy about arguements,and chose to keep quiet during the whole thing.
Then,he turned his head to Fishy who stated about them Rain-dancing outside the center.

{Rain dance is rainbows!!!Aw,I love seeing the rainbows,yes!!}Cascade nodded his head with excitement.

{Glad to see that everyone's happier.}Ryne smiled,feeling better now that all the bad emotions were gone.Though,

The Ralts turned to her trainer.

"Sorry Sliver,I shouldn't have said anything about it,I should've known that...you know,you wanted to be left alone,that's the reason why you wear the helmet."the girl found her voice and apologised to the girl,bending her head down as she continued.

"Please,don't get so upset over such a misunderstanding,especially since I was the one who started it in the first place."

As Sliver apologised to them,Jena felt a great deal better,even though the girl thought that it was herself who started the argument in the begining.
