Just wondering if anyone can show off their OCs, no matter what the fandom.
Name: Saki Okada
Gender: Female
Age: 14 (4 when the Takeover occurred)
Appearance: Saki has curly auburn locks that reach to the base of her neck and oval-shaped troubled green eyes. Her face is slightly rounded, somewhat fair-skinned and she is three inches taller than her younger twin at five foot seven.
She has a light tan from what little sun she's caught. Saki is slender and agile. She has the body language of a person who's been held hostage for most of her life. Her winning, picture-perfect smile is gone, replaced with flighty facial expressions. Saki has one scar; it is on the back of her right knee.
She wears a black dress with floral designs and white and blue sneakers. When she becomes a magical girl, her outfit changes to become a fusion of a fashion model's finest and a cowgirl's garb and is mostly yellow and blue.
Digimon: Bubbmon->Pyocomon->Floramon->Thunderbirmon/Flymon->AeroV-Dramon/Anomalocarimon->UlforceV-Dramon
Relationship with partner: Pyocomon is a happy little critter, fully aware of any problems, but unable to deal with them in her current form. Full of beans and trusting, she is slightly impatient.
Floramon is generally mature and serious, in contrast to her submissive partner. Despite their personality differences, she and Saki seem very close. Floramon is shown to be easily annoyed by others goofing off or drawing unneeded attention to themselves. She hates anything that she deems childish as well as being described as a flower.
As Thunderbirmon and AeroV-Dramon, she goes ballistic when in battle, falling into a mysterious rage. She theorizes later that it's her inner beast awakening that causes the vehemence. It took Floramon a while to realize that fighting was just something she liked.
As Flymon and Anomalocarimon, she behaves like a savage animal, wreaking havoc and not heeding Saki's cries to stop causing damage. Finally, as UlforceV-Dramon, she becomes laid-back and more mature, settling down into her true final form.
Relationship with Hisao: Saki no longer views Hisao as family, regardless of the fact that he is kin. She accepts that he drifted away emotionally and physically during her time as a hostage and that he spends more time with Shizuka. But she will stand not for him randomly popping up and belittling her in front of Kenshin, Mameo and Liza, in an attempt to make him look grander in Shizuka's eyes. The sibling bond they once had will be almost utterly destroyed, before Hisao contemplates making up with his twin before it's too late.
Relationship with Shizuka: She despises the Samurakami girl for abandoning her cousin and will go out of her way to try and reason with her to go apologize to Kenshin, before he's too emotionally scarred by her rejection of him. The two girls will be seen bickering on and off throughout the story on the matter, until Saki hits a nerve with Shizuka and makes the older girl actually stop and think. Mameo notices Saki smirking faintly when Shizuka finally comes forward and asks for Kenshin's forgiveness, admitting she didn't mean to abandon him because he was half-Digimon.
Relationship with Kenshin: Regardless of any of them only knowing each other for three weeks back in 1973, Saki felt she bonded the most with Kenshin. And that wasn't just because of what he was. Saki realized she understood Kenshin the most and was only mildly surprised when a soulmate counter appeared on the inside of her wrist. Even when she was taken hostage, she knew she had to get back to Kenshin to tell him she was okay. Despite the nine years apart, she was happy Kenshin remembered her.
Relationship with Hiroshi: Saki barely knew Hiroshi back then, much like the others, but had thought it silly that he had run towards the Chaos Generals like that. When they finally met again after his mind was clear and despite his confusion and desire to pull away from her, she gave him an honest hug. Things could begin anew… for all of them hopefully. Saki refused to give up on her hope that slowly, bit by bit, Odaiba would recover to how it used to be.
Relationship with Mameo: It was Kenshin who introduced her to Mameo and Liza, two new additions to the team, though Liza was fine with not having a partner. Saki quickly learned Kenshin had met them during her time away and Mameo had promised to help them in their fight against the Chaos Generals. Knowing Kenshin's judgement was pretty sound, she placed her trust in them as well and found they were quite dependable.
Relationship with Liza: Saki would be found more often than not hanging with Kenshin and her two new team-mates. She and Liza got along like a house on fire, which honestly surprised both Hiro and Willow, Liza's younger cousin. Saki loved how Liza was so incredibly patient with her and helped her learn English, since her home-schooling had been cut short nine years ago.
Fears: Being a hostage again. Saki quickly learned that Chaos Piemon was a cruel slave master and dreaded her entire time at Tokyo Tower. If it hadn't of been for Chaos Greymon, she believed she never would have escaped. Being physically restrained. Saki's foot was shackled to the floor for nine years and she had regular panic attacks at the thought of not being able to get free.
Best memory: When she learned she could use magic.
Strengths: Fighter, good judge of character, protective, cares deeply
Weaknesses: Blunt, lacks self-confidence, tries too hard, emotionally distant
Likes: Being free, Floramon and Kenshin, silence, nature, taking action
Dislikes: Her brother and Shizuka, the Chaos Generals, spicy food, cruelty, loved ones being hurt
Personality: Saki is more emotionally distant now, since her spirit was nearly broken. She still wants to interact with the others, however, so she tries her best to remain active in conversations. Alone, she's extremely cautious as she never knows if Chaos Piemon's around. Having been hostage most of her life, she wouldn't really know what to think, wouldn't know what any landmarks meant (like traffic lights).
She shows her anxiety by picking her fingernails, chewing her lip and pulling out her eyelashes. Saki would be very twitchy, wanting to flee at the first sign of danger. The nail picking and lip chewing are audible enough for people to notice and say something. She would feel guilty that people became aware and apologizes, but goes back to doing it when she's alone. Saki also suffers from panic and anxiety attacks; her anxiety attacks include bad trembling, sweating and staring at nothing.
She is a kind and independent girl, whose connections of friendship with the others were ripped apart during the nine years she was hostage. It will be an epic battle for her to get to know them again. The only one she held close to her heart was the memory and friendship she had of Kenshin. On and off, what drove her to keep trying to escape was the fact she wanted to reassure Kenshin that she was okay. Saki wanted to see them all again. Her time as a hostage has also made her a little clingy and she tends to stick by Kenshin, Hiro and Liza's sides the most, having got the vibe that they don't mind and would protect her at any cost.
Saki has had to become assertive in her standard of killing the foe, something which would have went against her policies at one time. Being a hostage changes things over time, her personality was one of them. She is now a lot more gung-ho in seeking out servants of the Chaos Generals to delete them and Floramon shares her passion, but ten-fold more. Saki would have been afraid of Thunderbirmon's extreme aggression in making foes suffer once, but now she doesn't care, letting her do what she wants with them.
Saki is reliable, but admits more than once that it's best to ask Mameo or Liza to do something for you, as she doesn't want to feel pressured by having someone's expectations on her. With that said, she does step forward to be Dragon of the few team-mates she has with her. She does so because she knows they're completely behind her, they wouldn't pressure her and she has the knowledge they'd help her if she had any trouble. Also, she is somewhat more vibrant when away from strangers, such as in the presence of her parents or her team-mates.
Her mistaken guilt is easy to see and it holds her back. She feels the shame of being unable to prevent Akira's death and holds the world on her shoulders. The guilty conscience she has over feeling as though she was responsible for her brother's death makes her believe she's taken the world on her shoulders in order to right her "wrong". She shows signs of being unsettled and discontent. Her own emotions confuse her and she is not sure what everything means.
However, all she really needs is some truly honest comforting, yet firmly reassuring words that she did no wrong in the first place. The aforementioned issues would disempower her and leave her incapable of such a complete response. Her wrongly placed shame is off-set by her devotion to her parents and the few friends she now has. When people praise her without thinking, it disgusts her absolutely. She knows she is only as good as what she is capable of doing, but she doesn't think she deserves the applause as she believes she was responsible for what happened to Akira.
History: Okada Saki was born during a protest. Yes, literally: there was a huge protest being held by non-humans outside the hospital she was born in as they wanted the then government to pass a law for the equal rights for non-humans. Her older brother, Akira, was eight at the time and he was watching the dissent. He admitted to finding the situation in which his younger siblings were born into 'paranormal'.
The law was passed that year, but then the government was disbanded by the newly established monarchy led by a half-Phoenix and half-Sphinx. The non-human king and queen expected there to be an outrage over how the monarchy had emerged from the shadows and were surprised when nothing happened. Instead, there were peaceful marches and non-humans praised their new rulers.
Saki's ageing progressed smoothly and she knew Hisao was her twin. However, it would take her longer than that to realize that he was different to her and always would be. Her parents often took the three of them out places so they could learn that their world was a magical one; people were born either as a non-human or human, but both races had the ability to access the magic they were born with. They also learned about the rules regarding magic and its uses.
It was when she was four-years-old that Odaiba was invaded by four powerful Digimon and their armies. The king and queen went into hiding and most, if not all, government buildings were destroyed, forcing parents to home-school their children. Hiroshi, a human boy Saki had met a couple of weeks before the invasion, ran towards the leaders with his Digimon partner, Wanyamon. A flash of light blinded her and when the light died down, Hiroshi and his partner were gone.
In the wake of the invasion, she plotted to train to get stronger and meet other kids who had lost nearly everything. Three weeks after the Digimon had claimed the district, Saki promised Akira she would fight for as long as she could and escape when she had the chance. He knew she was planning on entering the enemies' lair to try and get information, he also figured she'd probably get caught. In return, he promised her he would stay grounded as he had unfinished business here.
Indeed, she did get caught. Chaos Piemon tortured her with starvation and the occasional beating, even resorted to shackling her right foot to a bolt in the room across from Hiroshi's... which was soundproofed, so her Dragon couldn't have heard her anyway. Not to mention, they were brainwashing and conditioning him that no one loved him. Saki wanted to cry.
Her spirit almost broke two years later, but Akira's spirit reminded her she had to fight for the others as well, not just Hiroshi. She really did cry then, because Chaos Piemon came in and told her that a boy called Akira had sacrificed himself to try and stop them.
The fight within her renewed itself and she and Floramon tried regularly to escape, but she would remain captive for another seven years. Chaos Piemon's patience finally snapped at how she was wasting his time and he lashed out at Saki, resulting in Chaos Greymon coming to her defence and shattering the shackle and Floramon's first evolution to Thunderbirmon. Chaos Greymon was kicked out the door by the clown and Chaos Piemon vented his anger at the foreboding sky as Saki and her partner got away.
The first person Saki sought out to inform that she had returned was Kenshin, a half-Digimon boy, wings included. Kenshin was overjoyed that she was okay and hugged her, to which she countered "she had a long way to go, since she was starved frequently". He admitted to not being too worried, knowing she would recover in no time. Kenshin also revealed the other two members of the team, Hisao and Shizuka, had cut themselves off emotionally - as they no longer believed Hiroshi was alive.
Saki would worry about that later; she could see something was really bothering Kenshin, so she gently asked. She wasn't expecting him, the half-breed as the Chaos Generals called him, to break down and cry. He had lost his mother and 'father' a year after Akira had died, killed by minions of the Chaos army. But on top of that, he had no idea who his real father was, since his mother hadn't been able to talk about it when Kiyoshi was around.
She comforted him the best she could, vowing that Shizuka owed her for abandoning her cousin like this. For now, the only thing she could do was keep Kenshin close as he had always been more anxious than most. Saki returned to her home with Kenshin, hearing her parents' relieved cheers as she came through the door, noting that Hisao was absent. However, she knew it wasn't going to be easy: she would have Stockholm's Syndrome for a while yet, even if her spirit hadn't broken... and she suspected Chaos Piemon would always be keeping an eye out for her.
During the first few months of her return, Saki and her parents were repeatedly targeted by members of the Chaos Division. Hisao bitterly helped them escape a couple of times, which caused her to question why he no longer lived with them. He refused to answer. Other times, they were saved by an Angemon, before the angel Digimon vanished again.
It was after the last rescue by the Angemon that Saki managed to materialize her weapon: magic wire - able to be manipulated like string, but far more deadly. Her father was quite pleased, but her mother wasn't so sure. Chiharu worried that she might misuse it, but Saki promised her she wouldn't, learning all she could about it.
The remaining time until the start of the story passed by with no other attacks, as if the Chaos Division were biding their time and waiting to strike again. Saki used this 'downtime' to get to know Kenshin better and the 'puppy love' they once had started blooming into something wonderful. They kept it private, of course.
Family:
Kaede (father) - A non-human himself, appearing human, but his shadow is that of a kitsune. Kaede is rather laid-back, a man who would prefer his clothes to not be ironed. He tolerates his wife pressing his own garb and thanks her as he should, but really doesn't see the point of it. Kaede loves his children, even the deceased Akira, with all of his heart and is happy the twins have made friends.
Chiharu (mother, nee Kawamura) - Human and raised to be systematic and respectable, Chiharu follows in the footsteps of her own mother, Sakurako. She insists on ironing her family's clothing even when one member or another protests that they don't want it done. Chiharu, like Kaede, is devoted to her children, but has put Akira behind her, not out of selfishness, but because the dead need to rest in peace.
Akira (older brother, deceased for eight years, was fourteen when killed) - Also human, Akira was the prime example of a loving, caring, protective brother to his younger siblings. Made Saki promise to fight for as long as she could, knowing she was entering the enemies' lair. In an attempt to divert the Chaos Generals' attention, he lay his own life down on the line to protect Saki. But it was in vain.
Hisao (twin brother, younger) - Hisao is descended from a long line of half-human kitsune. Persistent, quick-tempered, resolute and lacks discretion are just some of the words used by various people to describe Hisao. His blunt, impulsive demeanour is a trait he himself has acknowledged and if somebody picks a fight with him, he cannot help fighting back; however, despite his conduct, he is a nice person some of the time.
Kin Mori (daughter, elder twin) - Whenever her family or friends need her, she is always there for them and takes after her magical girl mother. Kin gives advice that her family, except her sister, value significantly. Kin realizes and admits too late that she should have been there more for Yuuko, as look where it got them now… Yuuko, missing, assumed dead.
Yuuko Okada (daughter, younger twin) - Extremely quiet and introverted, half-Digimon Yuuko is very careful about what she lets out of her mouth. Yuuko heavily censors everything she says and tries to be polite and kind even to those she actually hates. She does appear very nice and kind and while she is to some extent, her uncensored thoughts can be surprisingly mean and snarky.
