I think Its better if anime like manga, each generation, the main charac changed...
P0kemon is good but it should be about Team Galactic not Ash. The show should NOT revolve around him. They need to get a new main character.
Well, it seemed like they would have met there the first time (in Training Daze) but some fans (incuding me) have the theory that after the bike gang, they fell apart (because of a fight, Jessie thinking of doing better when going on alone or something, we don't know).Well, let's see, the events of the episode implied that Jessie and James met when they first joined Team Rocket, despite it being implied that Jessie and James were students together(School of Hard Knocks), Legendary Bikers in the same bike gang (The Bridge Bike Gang), and a few other episodes stating that they've known each other since they were kids. It also contradicted the notion that Meowth preceeded Persian as Giovanni's "Top Cat" (It was implied in "Battle aboard the St. Anne" that Persian "replaced" Meowth as being the Top Cat because of the TRio's failures, AND the subject was brought back up (either explicitly [such as in the dub], or just subtly implied [such as the Japanese raw]) in Bye, Bye Butterfree.).

And then, because they still hadn't made up, they acted distant as if they never knew each other...for the meowth-was-the-former-pet-thing...couldn't that be a lie of Meowth, because he wanted to brag?
Of course these are all theories born out of imagination.
Which leads me to another point (not to be ot):
As stated before, the show is aimed for a younger audience. Older fans might be a minority. It's basically promotion for the show. Pokemon cronicles not being successful is an example for our minority (since it was less Ash-centered and a little bit more serious).
So it can't be helped, I guess. As much as I'd like a more mature show, I don't think it would be a success.
is ash still 10 in the cartoon?
is ash still 10 in the cartoon?
Ash is really even 1% close to a pokemon master. we also heard enuf of pikachu..
lets get a new character.. hmmm.. meybe paul? that is an intresting guy.
or for a better choice.. meybe Jun? i would love jun to pwn ash... even that empleon suck ass.. don't really care since i don't like it (water type owned by fire type... epic failure... "Infernape used close combat! Its super effective! the foe's empleon fainted! (wish he would die)"
anyway.. Jun seems cool. funny too.
I mentioned this in the Pikachu thread. After re-evaluating my reasons, there are two things that would make me re-appreciate the anime.
1) I recall, shortly before I stopped watching, Ash was starting to grow up. Since then, that process seems to have been reversed.
2) Uberchu is so powerful, I really don't think he's a normal Pikachu. Dedicate a movie or special to give some sort of epic explanation for his awesome power, and it might draw me back in again.
New character=different show.
He has changed in some ways. He's more mature and realistic about his goals. It's no longer about CATCHING EVERYTHING (though he still wants to be a "Pokemon Master". whatever that is). It's to go out and bond and win with the Pokemon he has in whatever region they're promoting...er...visiting.
Considering how they are having different series regardless of whether Ash is in the show or not, will it really matter?
Well, he hasn't really changed much to show actual growth. Heck, he seemed to have currently "grown down" if you get my drift. I mean, in AG episode, "Slaking Kong", he didn't seem to react towards Aipom his hat (at least, not to the extent of how he reacted to Mankey stealing his hat) aside from saying it would feel strange not having a hat. But in the episode "Setting the World on his Buneary", when Aipom stole Ash's hat the second time around, Ash reacted in a similar fashion to how he reacted when Mankey stole his hat, thus showing he actually grew more immature by the time DP started.
I'm not too certain about not "catching everything", seeing how he dumps the pokemon at Oak's Lab and barely references them at all so he can capture new pokemon.
