I'm wondering if I could enlarge the text by one size, would it still be within limits?

If you placed this image in your signature, then it would end up being 128 pixels too tall. So, no, it would be exceeding the limit of 500x300 pixels.

Yeah, it's alright. It's exactly 500 pixels wide, so you wouldn't want to go any farther than that.
 
Is this compiled picture of BW OK ?
I can change it anytime if not.
