As for Future Sight (and let's not forget Doom Desire), it's more useful in 2 v 2, since it has no resistance (can hit Shedinja, Spiritomb, Sableye), penetrates through Detect/Protect, and actually hits fairly hard. It's better if you can time it to combine with a heavy-hitting move like, say Draco Meteor to guarantee KOing something that would shrug off the previous attack.

No. Macho brace doubl;es the amount of EVs you receive from a given pokemon, and same with pokerus. The max EV cap remains the same.

Nope.

1x2x2=4.

For a Golbat, who gives 2 EVs, the equation would be:

2x2x2=8

And so on.

While Slowbro's defence and HP are quite good, those base stats aren't amazing enough to settle with very little EVs given, so they need a lot in order to endure damage effectively. It doesn't require much special attack EVs as Calm Mind already helps enough.

Actually, it turns out Serebii did a Pokemon of the Week column on Slowbro. For the set I want to use, they said: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk, so I guess I'll just use that.​
