Does U-Turn have the Baton Pass effect? I'm considering it on my Gliscor.

I was about to lol at the offensive moves and then saw spiritombs' rather moderate attack stats. So yeah, could work, nice set

Moderate? rather poor I'd say.

144 Atk EVs gives you a chance of OHKOing Azelf/Gengar with Sucker Punch. I personally run Taunt/Punch, Pursuit works too.

Yeah but with such low attack IVs would it work? or should I go with
-Taunt
-Pain Split
-Will-O-Wisp
-Sucker Punch/Pursuit

Ugh I'm stuck, maybe I should breed more but I can't be bothered. :\

Lumine, Spiritomb has prett good attack :P

Physical walls?

-Forry
-Skarm
-Steelix
-Donphan
-Hippowdon
-Gliscor
-Weezing
-Regirock
-Cloyster
-Aggron
-Dugtrio

Yeah. Then again, Duggy probably can wall better than aggron :P

Here's a really bizarre event that happened.

My friend has a Gliscor, and he U-Turned to Staraptor with a Choice Band. Normal? Yes...next move? No. When he tried to Brave Bird my next pokemon, it said "Choice Band allows only the use of U-Turn.", which is on his Staraptor.

Has this happened to anyone else? U-Turning to a Choice Band U-Turner shouldn't be done unless intentional. However, it makes wonder what would happen with U-Turn to Choice Bander without U-Turn. Anyone have any conclusions?

I think that happens until you formally switch without U-turning out to be able to use other moves, though I'm not sure.

Unfortunately yes it sucks but it won't effect you if you don't have U-turn thank god.

hm I will half to with steelix, since it does not have any 4x effects from any types. What is a good set for it?

Steelix @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Rest / Explosion
- Stealth Rock / Roar

Welcome to the Jungle, where Steelix has to watch out for EQ :P

I like rest and roar personally, but whatever you'd like. Stone edge is really overrated on it to be honest. Gyro and EQ cover enough.

They're about the same when it comes to walling, I guess. Rhyperior has a fairly large amount of weaknesses, but he has Solid Rock and an enormous (although not as much as Steelix's) Defense. My set for him is:

Rhyperior @ Lefties
Impish
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 6 Atk
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge/ Avalanche
-Roar
-Stealth Rock

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you're making some sort of Yellow-theme team. This, I can support.

Anyway, Omny's spread depends on what you want him to do. If you want him to support, go with 220 HP/ 252 Def/ 36 SpAtk. If you want him to go on offense, go with 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd/ 6 HP.

Wha? As far as my knowledge goes, with that UGLY Speed, putting 252 SPD would be a waste.

Swift Swim ;)

I have a question myself. What pokemon lost the most power in the generation switch? and who gained the most? I've been curious of that.

But also, keep in mind that while Mence has improved, there are probably others who have shown greater improvement due to the fact that Mence was such an enormous threat in ADV anyways :P Just consider that is all :P

Good ol T-Tar probably got the biggest boost out of all of this. For the weakest... I personally can't say for sure because not too many pokemon are severly affected. I mean, I know Manectric misses that special Crunch, but it's not much of a difference.

Good 'ol TTar. Looking at all these pokemon, it seems the rich only got richer-Mence, TTar...dusclops even with its evo. Jeez, no wonder I hate D/P :P

Gyara finally got a decent STAB, so it could be said he gained a bit of power. What about Slowbro? With Slack Off, he finally gained a one-up on Suicune, and he has Grass Knot.

As for losing power, just about any flying or Fire type- yeah, Stealth Rock. Ninjask took a pretty big hit from that, and is now easy to wall. Skarmbliss lost considerable power as well. While both are still fairly powerful, they can't wall entire teams as easily as done before.

Then again, I've never even played 3rd gen, so what do I know?
