3rd Gen Simple Questions (Ask Questions Here)

I've done several searches on the "Volt tackle" move that u get from breeding 2 pickachi ;O, but now I'm wondering if it's possible to breed around and get volt tackle into another pokes moveset? I'm unfamiliar with all of the breeding ins and outs, but have seen several (breed so and so with so and so, and then breed so and so2 with so and so to get *this move*).

Basically...Are Pichus, Picachus, and Raichus the ONLY pokes able to have "volt tackle"?

Yes, they are the ONLY Pokes in the game that can learn Volt Tackle.

Also...I'm buying an E-reader from Ebay. Does anyone know where I can get an Aurora ticket, eon ticket, SOMETHING to use with the E-reader? It comes with nothing except a Donkey Kong card.

Thanks!
You can get the tickets the exact same place you got the reader - eBay.

hey guys I am buying an action replay and was just wondering will american codes work on aussie games?

No, you cannot. The only possible way to change your pokemon's nature is by using codes to make all wild pokemon a specific nature or keep trying for the nature you want.

my Question: can u Change the Nature of your Pokemon (and if u can How)

Not on any one Pokemon, as Aeon said. If you want a different nature, simply catch another, or, if possible, breed another. Breeding is particularly helpful since you can get better IV's, as well as egg moves.

Hi again! Sorry i'm back so soon. Hopefully one day soon I'll actually stop asking questions and maybe try to help someone else out.

1. The difference between SP. Attack and Attack. Does 'Attack' ONLY apply to moves that are Normal? whereas SP. Attack applies to psychic, flying, rock, etc.?

2. The move 'Hyper Cutter' out of battle supposedly lets you cut a bigger area of grass. In what case would this be useful? Are there certain areas that 'hyper cutter' is needed to get to? Is it referring to trees that u put your secret bases into? confusing

3. When trading between two games, other than friendship being reset to 70, what other stat changes take place? Any held items that can help/hurt during a trade?

4. Breeding to get better IV's for your pokes. How do you determine how much better your IV's are once they hatch? Are you just comparing At/Df/spAt/spDf/Sp stats or is there something deeper here?

5. I've purchased a used Leaf Green game from EB games. It has several kewl pokes on it already as well as a masterball, and several other nice trinkets. I'm concerned about messing up my current game if I trade these Items and Pokes to my Emerald. If whoever owned it before me cheated could this corrupt my game?

Thank you again for your help!

OOO OOO OOOH!!!!

I Know this one!!!!

It IS in meteor falls also. Only in one room in the far back...you'll need waterfall to get to it. It's a room all to itself across some water. YEAH for me! :P

.vgmaps.com/Atlas/GBA/Pokemon-E-MeteorFalls-B1(2).png In a room like this. Sorry I don't have enough posts to show the pic. Put WWW before the link there <<<<

I'm pretty sure Special Attack is for attacks that use elements, and are not normal combat. I don't know how to explain it. Like, Scratch is an Attack because it doesn't use any special powers. Double Kick is an Attack. On the other hand, Confusion is a Special Attack, as well as Shadow Ball. Defense is defending towards Attacks, Special Defense is defending towards Special Attacks. Think of it as a boxing match. All the throws and punches are attacks, but if the boxers started to use elements, they would be Special Attacks.

At least, that's what I kind of figured out.
Don't quote me on it.
I'm sure someone else will have the exact answer.
And prove me wrong.

Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!

You've got the right idea, but just a little off. I think that's how they want it in D/P...

Here's the list:
Special Attack:
Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Grass, Dark, Psychic, Dragon.

Attack:
Normal, Flying, Fighting, Rock, Ghost, Steel, Ground, Bug,
Poison.

Thanks for correcting me. I knew I couldn't have been completely right. ^^

I have a question. Is Swellow worth using in the game? I've seen several movesets pertaining to Sweellow around the site, so I figured that somebody thinks that it's pretty good.

Well, that's a matter of opinion but I certainly think so. It has great speed with decent Attack, but not so much goodness in its other stats. It's a good physical sweeper and you may want to give it an Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) so it can get higher attack power.

Well actually, if youre talking D/P, each attack is determined individually, so attacks like...

Leaf Blade (Grass Type) = Physical, because it uses actual leaves to swing...
Magical Leaf (Grass Type) = Special, well...its magical
Dragon Claw (Dragon Type) = Physical, it uses physical claws
Dragonbreath (Dragon Type) = Special, yeah, breath
Tackle (Normal Type) = Physical, its a tackle
Razor Wind (Normal Type) = Special, it manipulates wind and stuff

..and much more!
Just wanted to clarify! ^_^

I've been wondering if you can change your clock to fit day light savings time. I really don't think so, there's no explanation of it in the manual. But it just irks me that not everything is up to date on my game, much less I'm playing wither back in the past or future. LOL

Unfortunately, you cant, at least not that I know of in R/S/E

Nope. I'm sorry but you can't. There may be a code that will allow you to modify it, but I'm not 100% sure.

You don't really need to use the time though in R/S/E. It's not that hard to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon and there isn't a Day/Evening change in the look so you shouldn't really notice it.

I finished all of the pokedexs and prof birch said something like "somewhere a pokemon is waiting in the grass" or something like that. what does that mean?
