Sinnoh Journey Journal v.2 - Share your travelling stories

i just restarted.

so i was SR for a female chimchar, didnt really care about the nature[dont battle competitively],but i was gonna use it for special attacks,so i was happy when i found out it had a modest nature.

now i have a level 23 rotom, leve 23 staravia, level 22 monferno, a bidoof for HM's, and a very soon ot hatch togepi egg.

should i bring togepi up to a togekiss or ditch it and find something else for my team?

I've just bought Pokemon Platinum, but haven't been playing it very much. I've gotten my Turtwig to level 11 and I am in Jubilife City. I plan on capturing a couple more Pokemon and then battle my rival again.

I have also bought Platinum. And at work last night (been off for :40. XD) I played A LOT! I also managed to get some codes for my Action Replay. :D I wanted to make a Journal like "Quick_Kid" (Idk what his name is now) but after a little bit...I decided not to. XD

- Got Turtwig
- Caught A LOT of Pokemon
- Battled Wild Pokemon
- Raised Levels High
- Highest is my Lv. 26 Grotle
- Currently going to the Oreburgh Gym :P

Well I just got mine from eBay, (I'm from the UK see) and played for an hour before discovering it was fake. The cart had the wrong code on, incorrect sticker and was missing the Pokemon Company logo from the sticker. Then the manual was absolute rubbish, and had pictures from Gamespot in it. XD

Seller has been informed, looks like he knew nothing about it. I'll keep people posted. :P

I did have a Level 15 Piplup and was on my way to Oreburgh. :P

Well, I finally finished off a few things I wanted to get done (such as the additional areas I missed because of the lack of an HM, etc.) and progressed through the Sunyshore Gym. It was actually quite entertaining, and for a few laughs, I decided I'd use my Luxray as my last Pokemon, due to the fact that the last Pokemon Volkner sent out was his own Luxray. Though slower, my Luxray triumphed and won me the Beacon Badge!

Finally out of Gyms to challenge, I decided to heal up and progress north towards the Pokemon League. Since I decided to teach Quagsire Waterfall, I didn't need to have an HM Slave on board to get to Victory Road, so for a small while I was able to just use my main team and level them up some more. When I got there, however, I needed to switch one of my party members for my Shiny HM Slave.

Victory Road was as one would expect it; just really long and boring with a few trainers dotting the lengthy paths and a few items at dead ends. Nonetheless, I picked up a few levels because of it, so it wasn't all bad. But I was thankful to be out of there and before the Pokemon League building.

While there, I switched out my HM Slave for the Pokemon I'd left on stand-by; Luxray. At this point, I was now at an even Level 50 with all of my Pokemon. But guess who shows up! My rival darted towards me for a battle, to see who would be worthy to challenge the Elite Four.

I quickly dispatched of each of his Pokemon as they came out, Glaceon surviving a close-call Close Combat and managing to fight back with an Ice Beam on Staraptor, and Infernape taking out a number of his Pokemon with his own Close Combat. But it was Quagsire that dealt the finishing blow to the rival with an Earthquake.

I healed up and went straight in for the Elite Four; first up would naturally be Aaron.

After a bit of consideration as to who he would be starting with, (I knew what Pokemon he'd have, but didn't remember which he started with) I decided to start with Glaceon and progressed from there. Altaria took down his Heracross with a DD'd Fly rather nicely and the finishing blow came from Infernape on his Scizor, OHKOing it with Flame Wheel.

'Big Bertha' was next up, so I decided to switch for Quagsire to start. I popped off a Yawn on Whiscash, but Quagsire wasn't doing enough damage, so I switched in Altaria for the Dragon Dance. After three, Whiscash fell to a Fly. Hippowdon was her last Pokemon (interestingly enough) so I left the end of the battle to Glaceon who, with a nice Ice Beam, finished off Hippowdon with one blow.

Flint was probably the most challenging of the Elite Four for me. Though I took out his Houndoom with a nice Earthquake, he managed to fire off a Sunny Day, which was followed by a Solar Beam. A lot of the battle was trying not to die, but eventually, I found a hole in his Pokemon and pummeled them accordingly. But not until his Magmortar caused a huge hole in my own. Infernape was the finisher with Close Combat.

Lucien wasn't so hard either and I took care of him mostly with my Gardevoir, but his Gallade got a very lucky Crit on my Gardevoir, taking it out and leaving me to revive and heal. Thankfully, I got Gardevoir back up and runnign and managed to get another Calm Mind chain, ultimately meaning that Gardevoir was the Pokemon to net me the win against Lucien.

Cynthis was pretty easy too, but unfortunately, the start wasn't so amazing. Her Spiritomb took out my Altaria, so my Glaceon polished it off. Garchomp got what was coming to it too and faltered to an Ice Beam pretty quickly. Other than that, it was a pretty straight forward battle, with Luxray dealing a Spark for the win.

With that done, I decided to hit a few spots, in particular Sandgem, to get myself a National Dex and the Poke Radar. But I eventually took to the Battle Frontier, where I've currently got the first win over three of the Frontier Brains. ^^

End-Game Team:

Infernape @ Level 51 - Sassy | Mach Punch|Flame Wheel|Close Combat|Taunt
Luxray @ Level 50 - Docile | Thunder Fang|Crunch|Charge|Spark
Glaceon @ Level 51 - Modest | Ice Beam|Icy Wind|Ice Shard|Sand-Attack
Gardevoir @ Level 52 - Bold | Confusion|Psychic|Magical Leaf|Calm Mind
Quagsire @ Level 51 - Relaxed | Surf|Yawn|Earthquake|Waterfall
Altaria @ Level 51 - Careful | Dragon Dance|DragonBreath|Safeguard|Fly

im sitting in pastoria contemplating what to do next.

right now im sitting on

level 33 rotom
level 32 monferno
level 28 gabite
level 25 staravia

im deciding on if i should bother using staravia since what flying covers is covered by my team,or is easy to kill by itself.

if i decide to not use her, id probably pull of my kadabra at level 26 and level him up.

i figure ill level up to about 35 before i go take on crasher wake.

i have a vaporeon leveling up in day care center because im being lazy about it until i get surf, its at level 23 now.

Platinum Journal:

I made it through Victory Road and challenged the Elite Four. Those were some fun battles! After that, I filled up the few spaces left in the Sinnoh Pokedex. Professor Oak dropped by and then upgraded it to the National Pokedex. I might restructure my entire team.

Could you really ask what i have done today? Watched the travellers entering my room in the Old Chateau...if only I was old enough to haunt them

I finally made it to Pastoria City and my team is now this:
Torterra Lv. 35
Magmortar Lv. 35
Bastiodon Lv. 35
Yanma Lv. 15
Skorupi Lv. 20

I'm trying to train my Yanma and Skorupi up and when they're the same level as the rest of the team I'm gonna take on Crasher Wake.

First my name Keyon W (West), ran outside with Curtis (Rival friend) so we could get pokemon. Traded with the old champon of Pearl Version (My Dawn). Keyon and Dawn (Platinum Dawn) went on 4 dates so far (Sandgem, Capture date, The Looker date, and beat Galatic date.) Got 3 badges and was surprised to see a Ralts in the wild so I caught it. Recently caught Sytcher for future team ups and is headed for Vielstone. I'm not going to Vielstone til the team is on lvl 40 or 38 if I get bored.

7 hour gameplay due to training some PC pokemon

Keyon W Team Now:
Monferno 33
Prinplup (Traded) 30
Eletabuzz (Traded) 30
Gliscor 33
Leafeon 30
Gallade 30

In Diamond, my Vulpix is still in the daycare (I'll take him out at level 27 or something). The Natu I was training finally evolved, and he also learned Confuse Ray, which is making his battles with the Pokemon on Route 212 a bit easier. I also trained my Tangela a bit in the Maniac Tunnel; now he's at level 27 and doing very well. (He learned Mega Drain too.) My Ivysaur trained in the same place, but his only two attacking moves were Razor Leaf, which doesn't OHKO anybody, and Solarbeam, which takes an extra turn to charge up. He ended up fainting from a Geodude's Selfdestruct (one of the reasons why I hate wild Geodudes)...

Volkner was a breeze, and thankfully I bought a lot of Lava Cookies beforehand. I caught about a school (okay... 7) of Remoraid, possibly used as fillers for trading with my Diamond moving forward. So I'm training to get my entire party at 60 for the League. Which isn't too difficult, seeing as each as a few or one level to go. I plan to run through my rival and the League and try and find any missing entries for my Dex. Once I'm done with that, it's off to the Battle Frontier, where I plan to go all out. And I hope to beat my BT record of 164 as well. Shout out to Jlizard27 for help forming the team. (Scizor and Kingdra) And TwilightBlade for Lucky Eggs. <3

Until next time~
