Yesterday I learned about chaining and decided to try it out, all 30+ chains I've had break at about 5. -_- The highest was 11 Cascoon 20 minutes ago. >_< Now I'm about to chain a swarm of Krabby, hopefully I'll find a shiny. ^^
 
I restarted playing Pokemon Diamond after honestly slightly losing interest in it. I found out though that my friend plays Pokemon as well so battling with him has seriously renewed my interest in it. Anyway I started playing yesterday doing some Battle Tower stuff (lost to Tower Tycoon, his Dragonite had only 1 HP when it finished off my Gengar which took out the first 2 Pokemon after my first 2 did terribly).

I did some Super Contests today but after a few found them pretty boring, so decided to go to something I haven't had much success with in the past, CHAINING! I read plenty of chaining guides and felt pretty confident I could do better than I have previously done, and I did! I beat my highest chain which was 33, and I got up to 38 chaining my swarm Pokemon for the day which was Pidgey. I have read on most chaining guides that 40 is the recommended number for your chain to reach when you should start resetting the radar over, so as you can imagine I felt pretty down after that Gloom ruined what had been a perfect chain. My 1st attempt at chaining in a few months, and it went so well until number 38 :(
 
Defeated Gardenia, getting my Pokemon to obey me. :) Traded Heracross for Geodude. Before I reach Veilstone City, I want to get my Pokemon up to Lv. 25 (I'm in Mt. Coronet, and they're at level 22) so, not only will Geodude evolve into Graveler, but I stand a decent chance of winning. I may substitute Riolu for Poliwag, so I end up with Poliwrath.
 
If you have read my post 2 messages above, you will know I was pretty sad at my chain breaking earlier on.

Well my mood has drastically changed from despair to elation! I decided have another go chaining Pidgey, and after a chain of 43 and just 5 pokeradar resets, I see my first shiny patch! It didn't show up as clearly as I thought it would and nearly mistook it for just a normal flashing patch, but I noticed the flashing was slightly brighter and only flashed twice, so I thought, what the heck, lets do it! After taking a deep breath, I moved my character onto the patch, expecting the worst, but there it was! The shiny level 51 Pidgey I had spent most of the day trying to find! It certainly was a lot easier to catch than it was to find. Gengar used its Hypnosis on it then I threw a normal Pokeball at it, and then it was mine! My first caught shiny! :cool: Its moveset and nature are poor, but hey, I wasn't gonna use it competitively anyway, its eyecandy!

All in all, a pretty sucessful return to my Pokemon game!

I just got Regigigas! *Claps*
My Umbreon is almost Lv 100.
And my Magmortar keeps fainting.
I swear, almost every Pokemon in my team is either catching up or already past Magmotar's Lv.

OMG! I was chaining at Lake Acuity 4 minutes ago and at zero I didn't even notice the different sparkle in the grass and walked into a shiny Psyduck! I swear it didn't do the shiny sparkle in the grass, but it must've. I just threw one of my Masterballs at it. I'm so happy, my second shiny ever (my other being Golbat on Sapphire in 05).
 
I beat Flint (or whatever his name is), my Zangoose (the poke I'm training) is at level 21.
 
Defeated Maylene, it was a bit tough. My Alakazam took down her Machoke and Meditite, but died against Lucario. I sent out Wartortle to do some damage, but he was Drain Punched to fainting point. I sent out Charmeleon, went with his strongest, Fire Blast, and defeated Lucario. I won the Cobble Badge, and am now on my way to Pastora City, where I'll challenge Crasher Wake, and defeat him before my traded Pokemon reach Level 30...

Received a JBHF Manaphy (took the day off school just to get a Pokemon o_O XD), SRed for a good Manaphy, I found something above average and went with that. Then I bred it and got myself a Naive Phione. Both of them I'm going to EV train next week. My 5 year old sister also went to the Manaphy event, she was so excited to go and even more excited when she received Manaphy. ^_^

I'd do the same, but I'm too impatient at Pokemon to switch out, give Potions etc...

Started out with Graveler vs. Gyarados. Luckily, I got Gyarados in the red pretty quick with Rollout and Rock Blast, but then I got taken out by some move I can't remember...so, I send out Alakazam, who Psybeams Gyarados to a miserable death. Then, he goes to Level 31, which means he won't obey, cos he's traded...T_T

So, out comes Floatzel vs. Alakazam. Alakazam is low on health at this point, and he disobeys me, using Confusion instead of Psybeam. Floatzel uses some move like Aqua Jet, destroying Alakazam.

So, I review my team...Trapinch is gonna take serious damage, and Wartortle is no use. It is Charmeleon and Poliwhirl left...

Out comes Charmeleon, usign Dragon Rage to DESTROY Floatzel. Wake sends out his last Pokemon, the puny Quagsire, and Charmeleon uses Dragon Rage! Once more, and Quagsires in the low. For Inory, I finish off with Fire Fang, and I win!
 
April 26
Going on my usual journey to the victory road then i got seen by a trainer. I battled yada, yada, yada. I got out of the battle and turned, not taking any steps got in a battle and it was a shiny tentacruel. it was funny.
 
Today was yet another great day for Drew and Team PokeGreats! (hehe...)

The Team confidently march into Hearthome Gym, ready to battle! Fantina sends out Drifblim, and on my team, out comes Vibrava. Vibrava uses Crunch, as Drifblim uses Stockpile or something. A Faint Attack later, and Drifblim is out of it! Against my weakened Vibrava comes Mismagius, her strongest Pokemon. Despite his best efforts with Crunch and DragonBreath, Vibrava is knocked out by Mismagius and Shadow Claw. I check my team roster - Alakazam has the best chance. So out comes Alakazam, using Psybeam to knock out Mismagius. Mismagius faints, and out comes Gengar. Alakazam uses one Psybeam, and BAM!, Gengar is dead! I win the Relic Badge, and the right to use Surf outside of battle!

Got through Ravaged Path.
Got Through Eterna forest.
Exited from Cycle Shop.
Beat Eterna Gym's Gardenia!
BUIZEL was caught (DAY).
Beat Lindsay at Eterna City.

Used Cut at Eterna City.
TM46 was obtained.
Exited from the Cycle Shop.

Caught BIDOOF (NIGHT).
Battled Nicole at Route 206.

Nov. 8 Thursday

Started from Route 206
SilverPowder was obtained.
TM82 was obtained.
Used Cut at Eterna Forest.
Got through Eterna Forest.
Caught GASTLY (EVENING).
Battled Amber at Route 210.

Today was rather boring. I trained my team on the route above Solaceon town, I was tempted to catch a Adamant Buneary in Eterna forest and EV train it and whatnot, but I didn't. I like my team right now, but Violet is in serious need of a new move.
