Well if you didn't know, many people debate whether snaking is cheating or not. The games I'm referring to are Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There might be others but I'm not sure.

Anyway, do you find it cheating?

Ah, its hard to snake in DD, I can do it though

My friend went into a mood because he can't he goes,
"your explioting a physics mistake Nintendo put in the game to cheat"
"Just cause you can't do it"
    "THATS NOT THE POINT"

I can snake. Its my friend, almost hard not to

I don't think snaking is cheating. Most of the people who play on wi-fi MKDS do it now. If you can't snake the learn.. If you don't want to learn don't moan about it.

I don't get the problem with snaking. It just seems to me that people can't do it themselves, so they complain about it.

No, it's not cheating. But it is a dirty little trick.

Once and a while I will snake (but only if I'm severely behind), but most of the time I don't. The most I do, are perhaps the little turbo boosts around corners (so...I'm half-snaking?).

I wouldn't mind it if everyone is snaking. But when you're doing a Wifi match and there's just one person that's snaking, it's just not fun for anyone - the snaker included (how is it fun to just be ahead of everyone the entire race? Where's the risk and thrill?)

The blue shell is the worst enemy of the player in first.. It can delay you the few seconds your competitors need to overtake you.

I don't know if I'm acting dumb but, what's snaking? Is it the the speedy white thing in MKart DS?

Snaking is a 'tecnique' used mostly in Mario Kart DS Wi-fi races. You sorta zig-zag across the track, pulling off seemingly continuous corner boosts. And as Uzumaki said it's quite hard to pull off.

They'd be really annoying if you were a begginer and racing other Wi-fi players. You'd be pottering at the back while the snakers are out in front.

Blue shells are the most EVILISH (cool word, huh?) items ever! I think even computer players use them just to annoy me :P

Blue Shells are annoying when you fire one (or someone behind you fires one) and you catch up to the guy in first place right when it strikes. @@

I personally don't consider snaking cheating, but it's definitely something that I feel shouldn't be done. Powersliding around corners is one thing (I do that myself), but snaking is using that feature/skill for something it's not meant to be used for.

So if someone snakes, I prefer not to race them, since it gives them an unfair advantage by exploiting something that's not meant to be exploited. >>

And for the record, most competitive MKDS Wifi players consider snaking to be unfair and/or cheating.

Meh, I use it at Figure-8 Circuit just to get awesome times. I'm not even really able to do it anywhere else. Besides, who needs snaking when you have 3 stars?

3 stars mean nothing, its the skill that matters the most. Anyways when I race online even with 3 stars people still cheat and its not right.

    I can dodge them in 150CC. :P

    I've got two stars. -_-

I don't think snaking is that bad, I only snake when others snake or when I desperatly want to win =P
