So, you died suddenly in a car crash yesterday.

How would you tell your online friends? Do you have some sort of plan in place so that people would know you were gone from this world, or would you just disappear and hope that someone from your real life finds your online life and lets people know?

Before my soul goes to the afterlife, I'd haunt my friends and give them a message: "Hey friends of Volcanix769, your friend, Volcanix769, has been in a car accident and perished. Please take this in consideration to not text while driving or road rage like Marge in the Simpsons."

How... will I tell them if I am dead? O_o
I would obviously want them to know but... don't know how I would do that. XD

What SR means is that in the event that you did die, have you arranged someone else to tell the online community that you have died. In your case you have Kura to tell everyone the bad news. In my case, I haven't set anything up at the moment. I suppose if I wanted to I could tell my buddy Renpuu to inform you lot if I did die but I honestly don't know whether he would actually pass the message on looool.

Ahhhh! Was very confused then; though the idea of being a ghost and telling everyone would be amusing.
Anyway, yeh, as Drakow said, I would have Kura tell my online friends.

I've got no plan in place so I don't know if people would find out or not tbh. I have quite a few PC members on Facebook and Twitter so it's likely that someone will post something on there which a PC member would come across and they could pass on the message, but other than that I've got no idea haha. So if I'm gone for a few weeks, check my Facebook and I might be dead. n.n

Outside of PC friends on facebook, my boyfriend knows how important PC is to me and chances are he'll log on his account and at least mention it to people.

If I was somehow able to see it coming, I would leave my computer running, while logged into youtube, and hope my parents put up a video telling them, or something. I doubt they'd ever post on here if I left this page up, so you're out of luck. lol

On previous occasions where I've gone and randomly vanished from this place for extended periods of time due to situations where I might not be coming back, my sister's just spam-texted people who I have a long conversation history with on my phone as well as some people I asked her to text specifically in the event that anything should happen (anyone who knows me well knows that this is a totally plausible event, lol). So that's probably how you guys would find out. If, for some reason, that didn't happen i.e. my phone got destroyed in the crash or whatever then... yeah you'd probably never find out exactly what happened.

My mom would likely call my boyfriend, who knows all of my online friends. He likely wouldn't post here though :p

I don't think that there's anyway... but considering that I'm online on MSN like every day, people may know that something's wrong if I'm not online for a week without saying anything beforehand.

I would write up a Program that needs to be updated every 24 hours. If 24 hours goes past with no update, then it would send a message out to all the forums I'm part of and say "Dear Members of this forum, your friend/enemy/frenemy has died suddenly either due to malpractice/murder/car accident/being bitten or stung by one of his scorpions or tarantulas/freak firework accident/drowning/accidental strangulation/kidnapping/for the lulz. Thank you and enjoy your day"

In the event of my death, a pre-recorded tape will be sent to every major news station in New Zealand and America, explaining that I do not appear to be alive on this earth anymore and it will consist of me elaborating my final requests and my final remarks to the denizens of PokeCommunity. The world will mourn; many false accounts will be created on this site to mourn my loss. I will be remembered.

I don't know how the internet will learn of my death???? I don't have any plans in place, maybe the people who follow me on Tumblr that I know irl will spread the word. God knows how news of my death would reach this place, though.

Is this something that people even actually consider? O_o Ha. I doubt the people where I live would even know... so good luck for my online friends.

No plans. I should really tell my roommate my password to the computer so he can get in touch with people. I'd like to think that if something were to happen to me, he'd be able to pass it on somehow. I stay logged into my accounts.

Umm,my real online friends are the one who would ask..ask them (espcially Ven) if they heard from me or not i think if i left the internet suddenly without saying for more than a month..then i'm dead!you can start feeling sad then lol

I would assume they'd catch on because people would post RIP messages on my Facebook page, and I have a few online friends on my Facebook. Then they'll spread that through my circle of online friends.

My mom would probably post about it on my Facebook or get my cell phone and text everyone in my contacts (assuming the phone wasn't broken in the crash). Otherwise I would just disappear.
I really should set up a better plan in case of something like this, though.
