1. Do you read books for entertainment?
Why else would I? I do not do things that do not entertain me or get me paid.
2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
Because they entertain me. Because they're interesting. Etc.
3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I tend to be more into fantasy and comedy than anything. Historical fiction and romance novels are rather bland, I think.
4. How long does it take you to read a page?
We-ll... let's see. It depends on the size and amount of text ofc. But I'll time two face-to face pages of the standard 4 by 6 in paperback... 'bout 40 seconds, it seems. Probably would be faster if I were more engaged in the book, but it's hard to know that way.
5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
How ignorant. They are missing SO MUCH.
6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
How do you mean? Like become entirely enveloped in the world? Um... depends on how good the book is. Usually within a page or two of when I start.
7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Standard 4 x 6, 450-page paperback... two or three hours. And once I start reading it's hard to quit.
8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Nah.
9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
Any time, any place!
10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
Don't care. Half the books I read don't even have chapters. I find it harder to quit between chapters tbh.
11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Nah.
12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Happy that the story has come to a conclusion, sad that I can't read more? idk
13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Don't think I have... maybe some random books that I picked up to pass the time and didn't even own or crappy romance novels that got awkward. xD
14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Hell yes. I've read HP 1-4 literally 20 times each at least. I am not exaggerating. Also I re-read Discworld a lot but it's harder to rack up the count on them since there's like 40 in the series and all the side-novels...
15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Cover looks cool/I like the author/it was recommended/title sounds interesting/cover summary sounds interesting.
16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
Well-read. Shows people like them! Maybe if I signed one it should be kinda preserved, but I think it'd be cool when someone read your book so much it fell apart. /mycopiesofHP1-2-3-and-4
17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Doesn't matter as long as it's good.
18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
I prefer a balance. An author can do amazing things with description, but should be able to bring the same life to dialogue. And vice-versa.
