    @@ i hope this is in the right section.. anyways..
    in r/b on cinnibar island theres the trading place
    one guy trades you a pokemon for your raichu ._.
    anyways, after you come back in a while he says "the raichu you sent me went and evolved" its strange because raichus dont evolve so is it just a translating error or do you think they might find some way of making an evolved form of raichu in the upcoming games?
     
    I think, he should say a "PIkachu", because only Pikachu evolves into Raichu. Well, probably only error.

    Now that's a strange one. o.O

    yeah its probably only an error but if it were that case he wouldve asked you to trade a pikachu but instead he wanted a raichu.. i think it was for a ponyta (i think i spelled that wrong) and thats why not many people would have traded him or something ._. i like trading so i just did it @@
    i should stop rambling on now..
     
    I don't know about Raichu evolving but I DID read something about Pikachu evolving into something other than Raichu. I wonder if there's any connection??
     
    Ah, yes, the good old Pikablu rumour. No, that's a rumour as well, and never came true (people saw pictures of Marill when GSC came out and thought it looked like Pikachu, so it became his supposed new form).
     
    yes!!! this is exactly what I have been trying to start a thread on for a while but for some reason I can't!!! But someone has finally started one, asking the exact same question I wanted to ask....

    Everyone in all of the other Pikablu rumor threads were talking about reasons why it started but never about the thing on Cinnibar island....yes the guy does ask for a Raichu and when you do trade with him he does say later that it does evovle...and I am 90% sure that he does say it evolved into a Pikablu...I am just so suprised this wasn't mentioned in a lot of the other threads...I was beginning to think I was the only one who realized it...but thank you Kura for starting this so I could get this off of my chest..-_-;;...I feel a little bit better...

    But really, will someone please verify this and explain it before I lose my mind!!

    heh no problem @@ i really doubt that he said pikablu but i am 100, yes 100% sure that he says "the raichu you sent me went and evolved" i remember it very clearly because i was puzzled by it and kept going back to him wondering how he got the raichu to evolve. i always thought it was connected to beserk gene in the yellow version (i think its yellow.. or its gold or something..) that you can find it where the dungeon where you find mewtwo used to be
    omg im really confusing with explainations..
    anyways, i thought that if you traded raichu with beserk gene that it'd turn into something new.. ._. but i know its not true
    bah, anyways..

    if anyone wants to check out the guy who says "the raichu you sent me went and evolved" trade him one on cinnibar island (its that lab where you get your fossils ressurected) in one of the rooms, in red and blue (though im not too sure about blue cause i never tried it in that game.. but red definately)

    no no im not talking about the pikablu rumour.. im talking about the man on cinnibar in red (and possibly even blue) who says "the raichu you sent me, went and evolved" i dont know if that helped start the rumour.. but i thought it was very strange..
    you can check it out for yourself if you want to.. ._. i just thought it was really really weird
     
    This is a translation error most likely. I remember the same error being in R/B back in the day...

    i remember that...they did a thing in nintendo power mag. anyway, they said that he was just an old guy who didn't know a slowpoke from a...something-or other, but it was a really clever pun...anyway, it's just a senile old guy.

    Oh yeah, in FR/LG they have the same guy in the same room who wants to trade for the same pokemon...Oh, and Thanks Kura!!

    Indeed. He asks for a Raichu, and, being the senile old fool that he is, thinks it evolved into something else. If he was telling the truth, they would've made him say which Pok?mon it evolved into, right?
