    Some new info on Project Needlemouse which is, what everyone knew it was going to be called, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.

    EDIT 1: Since people are wondering what the episodic content is about:

    As mentioned, I think the best way to view it is as a first part in a much larger adventure. When Sega released Sonic 3, ultimately it was the part 1 of a story that saw its conclusion in Sonic & Knuckles. In that same spirit, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is a bigger story, and this is that first chapter. I think it's also safe to say that by the end of the episode one, fans will be very excited to see what's in store for episode two!

    I see they forgot the "0" after the "4"

    I'd care more, if you know, it wasn't an over milked over hyped series that saw its prime over a decade ago.

    I could help but feel happy inside, since it was Sonic 1 that brought me into video games. Sonic 4 is around 16 or so years late isn't it? XD I reckon they may go the right direction with this, but after reading about the 'Sonic Cycle' I'm a little worried.

    Going to go into this feeling cautiously optimistic, the last time I got excited about a Sonic game was Shadow the Hedgehog, and look what they did there >.>

    And one more thing, episodic content for a game like this? No, just no ><

    Sonic 3 had a story that was continued in Sonic & Knuckles amirite?

    Actually, SEGA held a trivia contest, and knocked off a bunch of characters. Shadow was one of them. The only ones that just weren't there were Tails, Knuckles and Dr. Robotnik. In the first interview, it was said that Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik made the games feel like there was enough characters. Like a cast had been filled enough.

    Honestly, I read the article too, and it looks exactly what Wolfie said, episodic. No where do they claim it isn't, and this is Sonic team. They will milk you for every penny they can, and what better way to do it than half finish a game so you have to buy the sequel(s)?

    Did you read the article? It says on XBox 360, Wii and PS3 as a downloadable thing (so XBox LIVE, PSN or Wii VC)

    I grew up with 1 then 2 then Knuckles, I never owned 3 so I never understood the whole 'Part 1/2' thing back then.

    But my personal opinion is that splitting it into more than one part is more for money rather than retro/nostalgic appeal. But that's just my opinion, others may see it differently.
     
    It'd be nice if, you know, this game were to be half as good as Sonic CD.
     
    Sonic CD is one of the poorer titles. Matching up to Sonic3+K is the only thing that matters~
