Again. Because Dad took the Chinese. I swear, there was enough left over for two adults to have two servings each, and he had the lot. So I'm stuck with Ye Olde Spaghettie ande Cheese(e) Toastede Sandwiches. DX I was looking forward to that sweet&sour pork all morning.

This is seriously pissing me off. I'm not exaggerating. I'm feeling murderous right now. The fact that my sister's being an obnoxious little ass isn't helping.

On the other hand, I feel my graphics skills are improving. In the last few weeks, I've gone from this:

    to this:

Hopefully, I continue to improve to the stage where I can really call myself a graphic artist.

There's a lot more to graphic design than signatures and avatars. But by definition of a graphic designer on forums and messaging boards and such, I think you are included in that title. Congratulations!

@Patchisou: asdf yes, that's what I meant. I'm not looking to pursue it as a career.

And I did make that while following a tut. The stuff I come out with just on my own isn't quite as good. But thanks anyway. XD

And btw, I was just trawling through photobucket for a good stock for my next banner, and it turned up ^'s avatar stock as one of the first results. XD /endrandom

I assumed you meant that, but a lot of people on forums and communities based on message boards seem to think that there is only one type of graphic design, where print and web development take a large portion of the career focuses that come with graphic design. So I just felt the need to state that, despite the fact that it wasn't needed, but regardless, its nice to see such a quick transition from something so... horrible to some form of eyecandy, if I do say so myself.

I tend to forget to explain myself sometimes. I forget that people can't read my mind across the interwebs. @_@

Anyway, yes, that was ghastly. But it's not the worst of it. I wasn't gonna use this, but . . .

That was the first 'banner' I ever made in GIMP, and OMG IT WAS BAD. I used Gimp in conjunction with Paint and MS Word (of all things). I was pleased as punch until I realised how crap it was. Now, each time I learn something new, I look back and ask myself how I did without it! XD

I still consider myself far from the league of extraordinary artists we have on the forum, tho. :3

If you made that last tag in your original blog post in Gimp, then you're very talented. It takes a very patient person to learn how to manipulate photos and create graphics in Gimp and a hell of a lot harder (in my opinion) to learn than Photoshop is to learn (the basics, anyway).

I've never actually used Photoshop at all. Like, ever. GIMP is pretty complicated, yeah. There are heaps of buttons, and I still don't know what half of them do, but I'm getting there. I definitely don't think of myself as talented, though (tutorial-spamming ftw!). Especially not beside the big names in G&P, like Dukey, Aurafire, Cherii, Gummy Baromega, Reminiscing and others. :/
