    What role do you think the Speed stat will play in this game? Previously determined turn order. Tossed that out the window.

    Some ideas:
    1. Lowers the cooldown between attacks.
    2. Moves faster. Allows you to dodge attacks easier.
    3. Axed it.
    4. Something else?

    Watched how Tepig moved in the Pokemon Presents trailer. Seems pretty agile for a base 45 Speed Pokemon. Doubts them ditching Speed entirely. Hurts Pokemon like the Pikaclones pretty badly. Leans towards more frequent attacks, by process of elimination.
     
    Probably turn order and attack frequency if the Speed difference is high enough.

    It seems very difficult to implement a real time movement for every Pokémon that matches their Speed stat, because of Pokémon that would need to move unreasonably fast like Miltank, or slow like Ariados, for how they look.
     
    Cooldown seems to be the most likely alternative. Battles would seem chaotic if you can just fire moves consecutively nonstop.
     
    A combination of slower cooldowns and faster movements could be really cool. I think that's what they should do. It's just a question of, how much of a difference can it make without being unbalanced?
