Splash pages

google is smarter than that, there bot looks at the bg color of the page and the font color, can bet u banned.

Fair enough, I guess older people are less impetuous and more given to looking carefully at the sites. Although Tim (Casey, the webmaster of AE) is only a couple of years older than me I think.

Eh, it's not only google that searches. There's Yahoo, Altavista, etc.

Where have all the nice Pokemon webmasters gone?
Well if you can't affiliate with the big websites, use my policy: affiliate with as many of the small ones as you possibly can XD.
Also if you apply and don't have the right amount of hits, they may accept you anyway. My former host, Pokecastle, was an affiliate of PPN, and only had about half of the hits needed to be an affiliate. So you might as well give it a shot....

I might, but I just don't want to be flamed at by people saying "haven't you read the rules?" And I don't even have half the hits... more like an eighth of the hits :(

Never hurts to try though. And if the webmaster likes you... then all the better. ^^;

Well, do you like me? XD (PV)

I doubt PV will have many affiliate requirements. ^^;

If any. xD

Well, there you go. That makes two fo us.

We're the last people in a dying breed of nice affiliaters

In terms of the Pok?mon world, anyway ^^

Who knows about rest of the world...

The Digimon is basically dead though... x.X

I guess you're right. Sites are closing like there's no tomorrow. Including most of my affiliates :(

There are still some n00bish ones opening though... >>

New one is way better, alot cleaner.

But personally I hate spash pages, no one really wants to look at them, they come for your site, not to see a pointless image.

I don't so much think the webmasters are becoming evil >.>, but there becoming hit and money obsessed. I talk to alot of fans and members and 2 things they hate is 1. Adds on a website 2. Money beggers or evil webmasters. I myself try my hardest to help as much as i can, and i'm sorry if i come out like a bit if a arrogent person.. I do'nt mean to but sometimes you have to turn people down etc...

Yaaaaahhh.... I try not to turn people down, it makes me sad... only reason I would is if they didn't put my button on every page, or if they just didn't have enough on their site. But any site with over 30-40 pages I would probably take.

On every page? oO;

I've seen a few pages that only put affiliates on the front page...

Yes, that's the reason why I turn them down. That isn't counted as full affiliation, it's more a links exchange.

Ah, makes sense enough. I can understand someone who does like pure HTML tables where they'd have to update all the pages with each new aff... but if you used like php or something, no reason whatsoever for you not to put 'em all on all the pages.
