Im joining if i can!
Anyway hmm it has to be empoleon. Besides the obvious reason of looks i love the typing. I mean its immune to everything. Well not everything but it certainly can take a hit.

Empoleon is weak against thunder, ground and fighting atacks, but he sure is tough to bring down!
 
So? As i stated he sure can take a hit and all. But ground? Hmm shouldnt it be normal effect due to the water typing?

Not really, ground does normal damage to water types, so it doesn't cover that steal type weakness
 
But the only thing a Swampert is weak against is Grass, and there aren't many good grass types out there ^^

I'd like to try battling with an Empoleon -goes to find a Piplup-

Yh there aren't, but Meganium is really cute! Anyway don't forget they don't need to be grass types to know grass moves
 
yah Akatsuki no Tenshi is right i got a Mewtwo that knows Grass Knot

That's true :/ It's just that I'm a dull trainer that mostly uses STAB moves ^^ it's a pain to even teach an ice move to a non-ice pokémon (to beat dragons with) And I'm still so stiff so I usually give the Ice-move to my Water type :3 They are alike... my head says.

Yh I know what u mean XD I have the tendency to teach ice moves to water pokes a lot too!


And STAB moves are 50% more powerfull that's a cool thing

yeah also because it also knows earthquake,phychic,and a move that makes my mewtwo use the opponets move before it does

And talking about ubers thy should make a non-uber pokemon with drizzle dontcha think

I'd be a vaporeon, duh. They seem so cute and cuddly to me and I love their little mermaid like tails.

Sry it's tough to write with my crappy keyboard,sometimes it doesn't write the letters (got to hit it hard -.-)
What I meant was:
they should make a non-uber pokemon with drizzle!
I guess it has all letters now!
 
And its good to be here! Anyway lol i love water pokemon. I wish though just wish gyrados kept the water typage. And wailord pawns. I know as i have one and i love it. Swampert is also good to. But the steel typage of empoleon makes it take much more hits.
 
Hm...when you weigh it out as which starter is the most useful, Swampert and Empoleon tie, given their dual types. Grass is the only thing that owns Swampert, otherwise he's a tank that can either take down a lot or stall like crazy. Empoleon being steel gives him so many resistances and grass ends up just being "ok" against it. Not to mention his defenses are great, as is his special attack.

But my favorite goes with Blastoise/Feraligatr. Totodile was always a big favorite, because he jumps around like crazy and he's awesome. haha. 'Toise was my first love, and nothing beats the Squirtle Squad.
 
Toto is a cool pokemon i got to admit. I actually love it humor wise and contest wise. Otherwise battle wise its mono typage just stinks for me.
 
kishiishiiishii i love every generation of water starter types...other starters there's atleast one i dont like lol...cool points for water pokemon! blastoise is tied with feraligatr for my number one...but i gues they all tie haha ash should get an empoleon
