4th Gen [SPOILERS] Game Release Information DISCUSSION/CHAT Thread

I've been playing my game for about an hour, I'm at Route 32 hunting for Mareep to take on Falkner. I also have the capability of taking high quality pictures of the game in action, might not be anything interesting since I'm not far into the game but here's what I have.

I'm emulating the game perfectly with DeSmuME, save for a minor speed issue (I run it at about 95% which is pretty good for this emulator).

This thing will help you to patch the game so it'll work with No$gba. Do the steps inside and it'll work.

I know right? He is like probably in the game. And he is battable. Damn.
 
So, Celebi is confirmed to be #256 in the Johto Dex, the question is though how will we get it's data if it's not catchable in HG/SS because if these are anything like D/P/P we'll need to see all Pokemon to get the National Dex, and personally i wouln't want to get it by just reading a book or been shown it's picture.
 
No actually its back to painful catching. Good lord....
 
Mewtwo's sprite is sick!

And here's a bit of optimistic speculation.... Red has one hand on his cap... Could his sprite animation be turning it backwards?


I also noticed that Lucas and Dawn's Platinum and Diamond/Pearl sprites are in there. Hm.
 
Pokefix makes Soul Silver work perfectly!

Well they will be for link battles.
Also, I don't know if anyone noticed but gender differences are in (someone was asking earlier).
 
Machamp, Moltres, Kabutops... RAICHU!!

Ahh... Amazing sprite overload..
 
Finally my favourite Espeon gets a decent sprite! So many of them look so cool, but some of them look wierd, like Rhyhorn.
Looks like Azurill and Lickilicky have been redone (I may be wrong though). This could mean they are part of the Johto Dex.

That was me. AWESOME! :D

Kudos to Gamefreak. They really went above and beyond with this game. It seriously might be the best Pokemon game I've played. And I've played every single one of them. :D

(Oh, and does anyone know how many Pokemans you have to catch to get the National Dex? Is there even a National Dex?)
 
Yep 256 painstaking Pokemon to catch for the national dex. It feels like the old days now.
 
I am actually very happy about that. It will be nice to go back to the way things were in the old days even if it will take a while.

Oh man. I actually really like that. I don't know why. But I really do. I'm uber excited to catch them all, once again. Hehehehe....
 
I can't believe the new stuff I've found out today.

All 493 SHINY Pokemon can follow you.
You disguise yourself as a Rocket grunt in order to infiltrate the Goldenrod Radio Tower. I'm wondering if this effects your trainer card sprite and back sprite ...
Red now has a Lapras.
Blue has been renamed Green.
Pyrce is now wearing a winter jacket, he only had a striped shirt in the original.
The new music sounds awesome!
Lances' new back sprite looks uber amazing.
I can't wait to see Clair's smexy new trainer sprite.

They all ready posted the trainer sprites above. Look at the 7th row down 5th one on the left is where Claire is.
