SO MUCH INFO >.< TOO HARD TO RETAIN! But I absolutely love it ^-^

I am really disappointed about the levels though. And I mean really. D:
 
I'm considering writing maybe a little walkthrough, translating parts of the story. I dunno if it'd be worth it, though. Maybe I'll list all the trainers and their Pokemans, but it's coming out in the US next year, so...

DeSume is the best one to go with, there's a fix for no$gba for it to work, but I cannot provide you with a link to that nor the roms because the fix contains BIOS, and linking to roms isn't allowed on here. But I have uploaded the English patch some guy made on GBA Temp forums
Totodile's name is in Japanese because I used the patch after starting, and saving a game.

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver English Patches v1

How to patch:

01. Open xDelta GUI.exe.

02. Make sure the tab Patch is selected.

03. Press the Select Patch button.

04. Browse for and select the patch for your version of the game.
HGE.patch for Heart Gold English Patch, and SSE.patch for Soul Silver English Patch,
HGEF.patch for Heart Gold English Patch with Freeze Patch,
and SSEF.patch for Soul Silver English Patch with Freeze Patch.

05. Click Open.

06. Press the Select ROM button.

07. Browse for and select your clean ROM.

08. Click Open.

09. Press the Apply patch button.

10. A new file should be created in the same place as your ROM was at.
It will be the same name, but with _patched after the original name.
This is the newly patched ROM, enjoy!
 
thanks for the post Haunter, I'm assuming that only haves pokemon, items, and moves translated, right?

Yeah, but remember, it's only v1, they think they'll have it completed by the weekend.
 
G/S/C did have the best music. To hear it remastered and through a DS apposed to a gameboy color its amazing. How nostalgic.

I can't wait until i find the ROM for this game- i also can't wait for the English versions to come out :) :) :)
 
Things are looking pretty positive for HeartGold and SoulSilver. The insight of this game and so many people playing it through ROM is great, but after reading about ten pages I felt that I've heard more on how to work the ROM rather than news on HeartGold and SoulSilver itself.

Besides this, music is sounding great and I especially enjoy the National Park music. Sprites for both people and Pokémon are coming along well too. They answer quite a few questions some may have had before. Inclusions of OW shiny sprites and more is definitely a plus. I know a lot of this was questioned before, so having it answered is a relief along with many more upon that. Overall, the game has captured my attention [like it already has].
 
Hey, I've been playing for about two hours now.

Is Caterpie NOT in Soul Silver? His Pokedex page does not list any areas you can find him in. Oh no... ;_;
 
just done the farfetch'd event, it's harder than the originals as you have to step on some twigs to make it turn in the correct direction, plus there's a second one which is slightly harder

I don't think so as i'm playing Heart Gold and haven't come across any Weedle yet, only Caterpie

It is possible they could have made Caterpie exlusive to SoulSilver and only obtainable in HeartGold. However, referring back to the originals Caterpie's rarity in Silver was labeled as "Few" and was only found in the National Park, Ilex Forest, and Route 2, 24, 25, 30, and 31. Regardless, this isn't the original so again they could have made Caterpie only available in HeartGold and Weedle found only in SoulSilver, but we'll see as things progress in the game.

EDIT: Beaten, but seems as change has been made.
