I never used sporks for eating. Just for breaking my opponents' sporks.

it is most used as a shovel, or scraper, wherin you hold your dish to your mouth and sweep the food into it

i would prefer a fully fledged spoon or fork depending on the dish, rather than a mangled contraption that forces me to eat in one particular way

What about one of those modular utensils where you have one handle and you can remove the end bit and change it from a knife to a fork to a spoon? You get the same space-saving features as a spork without losing the full function of each utensil.

I never was that crazy about sporks, since every time I tried to use one for both intended purposes, I would have more trouble with it than using an actual fork or spoon.

Sporks. The name alone makes me want to buy a dozen sporks just to say that I have sporks.

I rarely use them. My family has never bought any, nor have I, but I've come across them in my high school and college campuses. I tend to hoard the plastic ones.
