I got my PSP for Christmas. <3 Lucky for me there wasn't anything else that I particularly wanted, so yeah. Kinda annoyed by the fact that a KH-style PSP came out almost directly after I got my Dissidia one. The only problem is that aside from Crisis Core and Dissidia, there's not much I can play (though I am gonna download FFVII from the PS Network and sell my PS One version, because our new TV makes the graphics look even worse XD).

Well, I don't find the KH PSP overly attractive, so it's not much of a loss, Roku. I was kinda glad that it didn't appeal to me--my original plan was to sell my brother the PSP I have now and buy the limited edition KH PSP but... I so wouldn't be able to afford that. xD;

That was a polite way of saying I think the Kingdom Hearts-branded PSP is ugly. :(

Ugggh guys I'm stuck for the first time.

I'm in Olympus right now. Finished the first coliseum rounds and now I'm fighting Zack. He's super easy but as you walk away from the fight, he gets possessed or something and you have to fight him again.

As soon as the fight starts he starts charging up a combo which, to my knowledge, can't be blocked or dodged. Even if you dodge the first few hits, he eventually knocks you up into the air and then down onto the ground for his finisher and you can't get out of the way between them and the finisher can take out half my HP. It's ridiculous--I can't figure out how this is even POSSIBLE to beat. :( I didn't think I was underlevelled but fffff maybe I am. ;_;

And noo the game itself is gorgeous! It's the system they made that's not quite up to par, ahaha. It's actually a little sad. :( The Chain of Memories GBA was so tasteful--why couldn't they have simple designs like that for these handhelds?

PSP is made for 3D games, and it seem promising tho, and the system doesnt look TOO hard to do.

Hum, speaking of systems... idk if anyone's interested but I've started writing a thoughts post for my LJ and figured I'd share a battle system excerpt. Also 'cause I kind of just want to rant about it. I'm not used to sucking this much at a KH game. XD;

That said, the battle system is weird. o_O; I think most people will like it since it feels like a step up from COM's cards (though I still vastly prefer my card battle system ;o;) but it's still not as intuitive as the system in KH1/2/Days.

Basically, you use circle to attack (and this is an unlimited and uninhibited action), square to defend/dodge (again, unrestricted), X/cross to jump (saaame) and then triangle... is your special attacks, abilities, items, magic, etc. To scroll through them, you use up/down on the D-Pad.

I think my hands are too small for this. I end up scrolling through the menu of abilities and whatnot by using them so that it'll move on to the next charged ability. :| In the fray of battle when you're swarmed by Unverse and you're trying to run away with the analog stick and also trying to scroll through the ability menu to find your cure spell and also trying to keep an eye behind you so that you don't just run right back into the swarm by accident... well.. it's resulted in quite a few deaths for me. D: It's not so bad when you're just fighting a handful of Unverse, or if you can keep a safe distance between yourself and a boss, but otherwise it's such a hassle.

Um... but yeah, the abilities also need time to recharge. This makes sense. If you use Cure, you have to wait for it to fully recharge before you can use it again. Same with abilities like slide dash and whatnot. Items don't need to be recharged which is nice, but the fact that they take up a whole slot is annoying. You start with three slots and earn more as the game progresses--but the amount you have never seems like enough. xD; The recharging can get annoying when you're facing some of the Large Body knockoffs. Abilities are one of the most efficient ways of dealing with them and if you aren't paying careful attention and there's more than one, a group can kill you before you have a chance to get a safe distance away and scroll for your cure. :( And of course, if it is a group of them swarming you, the few abilities you have equipped aren't really that helpful. You might defeat one but there are still two more attacking and it's just... frustrating.

Everything seems to be able to break through your attacks and the game's AI is a lot smarter than I remember them being in other games. Either that or I'm just really bad at this because I'm always getting attacked from behind when I'm trying to single out one Unverse to attack. It could very well just be that I suck though.

Has anyone heard the new piano album yet? n_n I'm listening to it now and it's good so far~ I haven't gotten through any of the songs I expect to like (and actually have to kick myself off to bed soon so I don't think I'll finish) but it's pretty. :]

I'll probably enjoy Birth by Sleep more than Chain of Memories. I still liked CoM, but not nearly as much as the other two games.

CoM got a little repetitive after a while, but the plot (and Axel) made up for it. :3 Namine was awesome in CoM, but then she kinda went a bit meh in KH2. That's my opinion, anyway. XD

CoM has gotta be my least favourite KH game. I found it hard to use the card system when battling. The only good things about the game is the plot, the fact that Axel doesn't die, and you can play as Riku.
