If you turned off the post count then the spam would go down a bit because most people who spam there are trying to get their post count up, because they know they can get away with it for the time being.

There isn't any need for that though, most members don't notice the count. Only blatant spammers and newbis really care about that stuff, it isn't the overall PC members.

that's why we have mods and other staf members, you should trust that they can take care of PC themselfs.

I agree with that statement, but if mods are trying to get the post count turned off there aswell, then you know there is a problem that turning the post count off would make their jobs a bit easier.

I suppose, it would make their job eaiser. Then the forums though would seem like a clone of some other "green" themed forum which I can't mention.

If you are talking about Fun Time in Pokeland, then yes, they would seem the same a bit. If the staff has a problem with that then they can do whatever they feel is best, whether that be combining them together, or just letting them be. But that has nothing to do with the spamming rate in T&G going up and turning the post count off being a potential solution to the problem.

And to Greg, I am pro-turning off the post count for the whole PokeCommunity, so my post count going down doesn't matter to me if it is for the better of the message board.

Post count going off would mean you lose that number, nothing goes down. It just disapears. So it might help in that then entire "Post:???" part of your profile would be gone.

But don't get to over involved, these are just message boards. Sure it's a fun place, but don't get so into it like that. Stuff like that needs to be left up to Steve or Kwesi.

Still I suppose, the post count thing should be one of thoes "last ditch effort" things, it's built into the VB package and should stay that way.
