Hey everyone! I didn't know about this forum until I went through smogon a bit. I just hope people will help me instead ignoring my posts like on some forums. I'm from Alaska, but I'm currently in the Philippines on a 5-6 month vacation. So, if I may trade, battle or shiny hatch for you, we'll have to coordinate times. I've been playing since red and blue, but didn't start battling competitively until 4 gen. I didn't understand everything until 6th. It's gotten a bit easier. I'd like to learn more about breeding the best of the best for competitive use, calculations, how to make a good team that flows well, etc.

Well I hope to battle, trade, and exchange info with you guys soon!

Hi ep3demic. I feel bad about your past experience in other forums back then, but don't worry, you have come to the right place in here, so don't feel bad ok? And actually, I have no idea about shiny value thing, but I think you'll fit in into the Trade Corner section, you can make your trading thread in Trade Plaza if you want to. And another thing, you can check our Battle Center and even our PC Battle Server if you want to know a lot more about battling.

Don't forget that you can ask the blue bold name of mods if you want some assistance, and I'm also open to talk so don't be shy! I won't bite ^^ Have fun, and I hope to see you active, and enjoy!

Hello Ep3demic and welcome!

I do feel sorry for what happened on your previous forums, but I'm sure you won't encounter the same problems here because the staff here are actually helpful and put the members first. My good buddy Windy has shown you around the appropriate sections if you're interested in trades and battles. We also have a Pokemon Showdown server if you want to battle fellow PC members, so feel free to pop by anytime. Windy and myself are among the regulars there and it's really fun.

The mods there are always happy to answer questions you have so don't hesitate to look for their bold blue names, plus there's orange and red names in there. I may not be a battling expert myself but I do look forward to meeting new friends so yeah leave me a visitor message on my profile anytime, I won't bite ya I promise. Do have fun here okay?

Oh, I totally understand what you mean about battling; I've barely started understanding it in the fifth generation and have learned a lot more in the sixth. Breeding's a whole lot easier here and Windy as well as Hikari have already left you some amazing suggestions, so consider poking around the many boards we have to offer here. The members on PC are more than happy to answer your questions as far as battling and breeding goes so you've certainly come to the right place! You won't be ignored, I guarantee it. :D

If you're needing help with shiny values you should stop by our Shiny Values thread in the Trade Corner. It has a list of SV checkers so you can message one of them to check yours for you. Again, we'd love to help, so don't hesitate to ask one of our wonderful checkers.

Same here--I started playing when Red and Blue were released. Which version did you get? I had both of these games, but Pokémon Blue was the first that I've gotten a hold of. My dad gave it to me as a Christmas present. (: I still have the cartridge with me, but unfortunately, it no longer works. And just like you, I've started battling competitively around generation four. So, tell me--do you like playing with offensive teams, or do you prefer using defensive ones? Personally, I like using teams that lean more on the defensive side of things. Say, if you're really into battling, why not head over to Battle Center? We have a lot of battlers around over there, just like you and I! If you hang around that forum, you'll be able to make improvements to your skills and meet new people along the way!

Ah, the Philippines! That's a great place to vacation in; I went there once, but aside from the wacky plane trouble on the way home, it wasn't really a bad experience! I hope that you're having a wonderful time there, as I hope you'll enjoy your stay here on PC! Anywho, I started to competitive battle at 4th gen as well, so, we have something in common here! Though I started off using silly things like Pachirisu, Shedinja, Claydol, Typholosion, etc. I don't think I used them in a bad way, but, they weren't the best pokemon at the time!

PC has a marvelous array of members who would love to help you all about breeding, and competitive play, so, don't be shy to ask! The links above are great places to learn everything you need to know, so, I have no doubt that you'll find everything and get the best advice that you'll need! So welcome to the forums, and I hope that we can speak again someday! <3
