Issue: Stuff keeps randomly breaking on me

    From time to time, username goes missing on my end, too. Though, it fixes itself once I reload the page. Don't really consider it to be a huge deal, but for some people, I suppose it could be sorta bothersome. :( As for style accent issue, I've never experienced that, so I have no idea if there's a way around it.
     
    I have no idea what happened with the style accent thing but I assume someone was messing around with them - I know we have some styles under active development right now, so.

    A lot of the one-off breaking things you see are likely admins messing around. I missed out an apostrophe earlier in the randomised welcome messages plugin which lead to the whole thing dying on me so that's maybe what you saw - either that or one of the phrases is set up wrongly. It'll just be little coding errors in any case which are easy enough to clean up. Don't worry too much about it; most stuff's fixed quickly and if it's not, then it's best to post a CQ&F thread. But you can probably write these little one-off occurrences as someone making little mistakes.

    Or are any of these still broken right now?
     
    The issue only seemed to last for maybe a minute or so, so I thought it was one of y'all working on things. One thing I noticed though when my username/messages disappeared, I was in a topic, and the standard/legacy postbit style was overridden with standard, even though mine is set to legacy.
     
    The welcome messages cause some issues from time to time due to malformed logic in the php by whoever adds them. These include (but are not limited to) disappearing welcome message, post bit style getting swapped back to standard, and other options being overridden. It's an easy mistake to make. Other than that, I'm not sure what has happened to the style accents, but I'll look into it.

    For now, if it's very bothersome for anyone to have to press F5 when they reach a bugged welcome message, the option to disable them has been added to the user CP under Edit Options.
