A kid would just laugh. Now if it was a parent the one who finds those nicknames....
Well, at least Nintendo can save itself thanks to the "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" message.
You are right.
And I was only speaking
hypothetically about the nickname of my Weavile. It's actually in Japanese or something.
But I was wondering if I sent my Gyrados away and its called crapf*** then someone might get a bit cranky xD
Lol yea, remember how Pokemon is aimed at children, and if like an 8 year olds sees something like that on GTS, something might happen xD
As much as it as aimed at children, teenagers are more likely to use the game and make offensive nicknames.. I guess the children have to initially take trading around the world at their own risk to come across things like that..
Anyways, just breed the Pokemon if the name stinks. Or learn to live with it, I guess.
Sometimes it isn't as easy as that.
For instance, if you have recieved a pokemon through a trade that can only be obtained holding an item, and its named something rude then you're stuck with it.
Living with the name? I shouldn't have to put up with a name like that in the first place, it really isnt fair..
I name my Magikarp with Magicrap, the owner must be pissed when he uses that Gyarados XD
I actually don't think there is a human being on this planet that
hasnt named their magikarp that once in their lifetime. xD I know I do it every time!
. . . I don't know why people would bother naming them things like that at all. XP
Quite simply, for kicks. =P
I think we're highly underestimating a kid;s vocabulary here... basically, if a kid is old enough to read, that kid will know at least four of the "seven dirty words you can't say on TV". I mean, I knew those words from before I was in 4th grade.
We can thank South Park for that xD
Guys, I'm pretty much talking about unobtainable version pokemon/rares/shiny/trade-only/hard to get pokemon nicknames here, not just your every day Pokemon nicknames.. half of them are ROFLworthy, like the Blissey's name (it's so true.). Sure, you can breed them out, but rare ones you plan to use and raise, is just plain annoying.
