Ok. I'm starting to get confused on who's permibanned, or banned. So, I was thinking that maybe there could be a way to seperate the two.

How about saying 'Kicked-out, don't be like me!' For time banned users and 'Booted out' for permibanned users? I'm sure that could help confusion. Or even better put 'Kicked out for # months from *date*'

    Just a suggestion ._.

Usually it says temporarily banned when they're not permabanned. Otherwise, it all depends on who bans who... Some higher staffies have their own preferences

I thought that there was a usergroup for temp. bans, or something, because some people with temp bans had "temporarily banned" in their user title. o_O; I haven't seen that in awhile though, so I might be mistaken.

    If that can be used more often, that'd be nice. It would be less confusing. ^^;

I don't think normal members can see that usergroup o.0

I don't think it's a usergroup. It would say so in their custom user title before that they are temporarily banned. Otherwise, I don't know why they stopped doing that. It was pretty reliable.

I like the suggestion. It does get confusing. It should say "Temporarily Banned" or "Permanently Banned"

I've never seen it say Temp Ban...

But it's not that bad of an idea. That way people won't tweak out and mass spam PC if they think their fav. member is permabanned when they're really only banned for the week.

I used to see people with "Temporarily Banned" as their user title all the time. However, recently I've seen people with "Booted out- don't be like me!" who end up being unbanned a few days later. I must say, I like the Temporary/Permanently banned title idea better =\. If someone I know gets banned I'd like to know if they're ever coming back or not.

Not meaning to be rude, but why exactly would anyone care whether someone was perma/temp banned?

Uh...if anyone did something as stupid as that, I think they'd deserve to be banned as well =/. Plus, I've never seen a time without a mod/admin on, so punishment could be carried out pretty quickly...

Doesn't that seem a little too harsh? o.0 You just don't go banning members like that. And just because a few staff/mods are on, that doesn't really mean they'll do stuff according to your time.

I'm afraid you can't make that judgment. When a good friend of yours is banned, you'll understand. In fact, that isn't at all fair, because even staffers have admitted that they've gone over the line when they were angered.

The ban title is default. There's currently no way to change that without giving super moderators access to the Admin CP, however some people (not me) would see that as downright absurd.

I thought there were temp. ban usertitles as well. SMs already have some access to ACP, Ty~

No they don't. At least they didn't when I was an S-mod. Oo
AA's and up only have ACP access.

Isn't banning part of ACP? Or is it in MCP now?

Ah~ was sure it was in ACP. Maybe I was thinking of styles~

    Title for Temp-Bans: Temporarily Banned
Title for Perm-Bans: Booted Out - Don't be like me!

We have a temp ban usergroup, but we almost never use it. It's just quicker and easier to stick them in the normal ban usergroup (the perm ban title).

No kidding, I've never seen the Temp banned usergroup, ever...
