why not just go to member list, then sort member list by posts...?

And post count/rep/any form of "numbers" in the profile is rather useless, petty and unnecessary anyway ^^ We got intelligent ppl who got low post/rep counts, while morons who got high post/rep counts, and vice versa, so in the end, "meh."
 
UM, that's through rpg or something.And that would kinda cause some problems.Causing members to post SPAM more to get recognized somewhere else besides on the currently active list.

Well if it's a vB forum then most likely it's an older vB Version. Because back in the 2.0s vB did have a thing called "Top 20 Posters". But like Blue said just go to the member list and then sort by posts (it works just as good, maybe even better because it has the top 50 posters).
I'll lock this now since you found out a way to find the highest posters.
