Ya know, if the inactive mods were to be demodded... there would be plenty of space open for new ones. :-/
 
That's another thing i agree with, I could name names, but that would be rude.
 
I say lets just wait for MCG to simmer down,

Though I totally disagree we don't need more mods (because we do) it is just one of those fads (sorry that I created the craze. Claire didnt mean to give u more work xD)

So lets just leave it that?

Thats more then enough actually, since we don't get offensive spam often to where we need a higher power. A mod can warn a member, be it their area or not. Greg, nah...we're fine without any more mods, and I know who really wants it XD
 
Lets stay on topic,

i don't think we need to demod mods for inactivity, but rather there places getting rather slow and not needing them for there areas any longer.
 
Yes, lets get back on topic.Wait there is now other way to help MCG but giving it a mod, I aimed Steve, so he'll be here in a few, He's eating lol.
 
We don't don't have hard times. If all you say that a member there needs modding? And if you say that most threads there are spammed up, how are you gonna find a good member that will not spam there and mod at the same time? Moderating is only editing threads that are spam or just splitting spam/off topic posts into a new thread and closing it, as well as closing and moving threads. And not all staff is gone. There are more mods online when Im here on the after noon, and some mods decide to be invisible while they are online I know I am sometimes and otehrs too.
You shouldn't really say anything without knowing that we don't accept new members for modding, since most mods do recommend members to the admins and then its up to them to decide. I would say if you don't know what it goes around the forum then don't rush to a fact, but since I am wrong and all that is commeneted in the mod lounge then I can't say that. I don't want to sound as if Im disagreeing but thats just what I know and my opinion. Posts being disabled will not change a thing since other threads around teh forum also get spammed. And if you turn the posts off there it might become like a dialy member chit chat clubs and all. Which we have FTiP and the stickied thread in OC for.

I agree with Alexiz, look at fun time in poke'land.No pst count stii tons of posts.Listen i paid some part of this forum, so I wanna see it go on for a while.Do i think i should have a major say in what higher staff does cause i did pay something to PC no.But ido think that we us members being as we make the forum should have at least some say.which we don't get often, we have to complain about something in a pack to bring the slightest attention to a major issue.I don't wanna make bad friends from this, so please read with an open mind.

Why don't we ever consider getting a bot to mod in some areas (I might sound pretty stupid but it might work).

They have vB bots that you can get from there offical add-on place. You just put in the rules and it automatically 24/7 searches for SPAM.

I know it could replace some mods who don't do there job as good as they are supposed to be.

Because the admins knows when there's something that needs help or when a new mod is needed.

Blaze, what you said to Alex was uneeded as well as offensive.

I think I understand why we don't need anymore Mod's,

Look at what happened with Abby, we don't need anymore of these drama flicks it got quite annoying.

But on topic, we need to consider Bots seriously
 
This thread wasn't made to discuss a new Member Fanclubs mod. Back on topic, please.

Oh, and for the record Alex, quite often lately, there are little to no staff on at the same time as me. (Don't take that the wrong way...)

If you have a comment for modding I suggest you boing it up to the admins rather than here or even though it may nto be allwoed I think a thread, but moving on.

Threads do get spammed up. And having posts turn off there would just be a waste of time. Having something to check for SPAM 24/7 would just be useless since you do know that not many bots can actually do the rught things. They work like machines in the real world and not all machines are perfect. These bots may skip the spams and probably edit or close a thread that may have not been spammed.

I meant in general forum conditions, we have the report button because obviosuly mods can't be everywhere 24 hours a day.

Nothing ever stays on topic XD
 
A bot mod is stupid,just becuase you can program the rules into it doesn't mean it can't mess things up.Rules are made to be broken.
And DP a mod (not saying new) is probably the only way we can accomplish this task.

So you'd really want to replace living people with hacks that can't even do the tasks correctly? I can SO see that working >> *sarcasm*

The bots would probably miss most spam threads all together >>
