Yes, yes, YES. I'd very strongly recommend trying out Explorers of Sky, which luckily isn't even on the 3DS! (All you need is a normal DS to play it.)

Explorers of Sky is often regarded as the best game in the Mystery Dungeon series, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed by it. It's just that amazing.

Hey would I have to play anything before it to understand the story? Do all the games connect?

Ah, nope! All of the stories are self-contained, meaning you can play any of them without needing any prior knowledge of previous games! You won't be missing anything regardless of the order you play them in.

Oh yeah, and Explorers of Sky is like the "third version" of Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, similar to Crystal/Emerald/Platinum. It follows the same story, but Sky has waaaaay more features, along with special side-story episodes that aren't in Time/Darkness. Might as well start big. xD

Now that's perfect that was kinda one of the reasons why I was so lazy to try it. Thanks for clearing that up.

Can't argue with having more content. Thitd versions are always the best. Yeah, might as well.

Heck yeah! I hope you have fun if you try out the game! ^-^ Oh, by the way! If you want to play as a specific starter, here's a guide to the personality test:

I'm personally really picky, so I usually rig the personality test to get Bulbasaur, ahaha. But regardless of who your starter is, I believe you can still freely pick your partner! Good luck. :D

Thanks. Me to. But first I need to finish playing something else first.

So what you get depends on this huh, honestly I think I'd rather be surprised and see what poke gets thrown at me for a first playthrough at least.

Nothing wrong with that......you know what forget what I said, If I see Turtwig or Mudkip as an option Im rigging.


Edit: I think we've seriously detracted from the trivia game. XD

...They're both options. xDDD If you wanna rig, you might wanna try getting Bold or Rash natures. ;)

And haha, for me, I usually rig during the first playthrough to make it a more memorable experience, and then on later playthroughs I'd get a random starter just for fun. xD There are a ton of different ways to play, so go ahead with whichever suits your style the most!

You have a point there and now that I see that they are available I'll go your way and try Turtwig for the first go. These natures would be terrible in the main games though. XD Bold and Timid?!!! On Turtwig?


No here's fine, I'll come back to that place soon though. Honestly if the trend follows the answer should be confirmed in the next few hours.

Ah we're talking Mystery Dungeon huh, my fav Spin-Off ^^.

I always rigged for Brave Nature, u can guess why :P.

Nature don't affect the actual gameplay, they are just there to decide which Pokemon u'll be. Bold gives u Turtwig & Rash gives u Mudkip (but remember to choose "Male" for the final question or u'll be a Squirtle or a Torchic instead).
