Super Smash Brothers Brawl Delayed... Again

https://www.gamespot.com/users/Arcanine_88/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25284842

Most of my ranting is done in there.

But really, Nintendo pushing the game back is just stupid. And I can't understand why (other then pissing off it's base... seeing how they love to do that these days <_<;; ). Like others have said, if there was a prob, or if they were still adding things Japan would have also gotten a month push back. And yet they only get a week? Something is wrong there... and I for the life of me can't understand what it is.
Here's to Nintendo... always pissing off people they need.

Thank you!

I find it pretty dang insulting that they wait till one month before the release to tell us it's delayed again. Come on! We were soo close to the game, just to have it dangling in our faces & pulled away.

I understand that they need more time, but there is only SO MAANY TIMES that you can pull back the game, before even the fans are pissed. The first time, there was a significant gap before they pulled back the game. Now, it's just ridiculous. He can't keep feeding us that "A delayed game is eventually good-a rushed game is bad forever" line. From the views of an adult that worked, & is now in college, I understand about delays, so I have patience & some sort of sympathy as to not get to boycotting. When unknown-unknowns occur, they may have no choice but to delay, although Japan shouldn't come soo soon. Maybe it's an error on Nintendo of America's part, we'll never know. But as a fan, this isn't funny.

At this point, I'd settle for Masahiro Sakurai to make a video of him apologizing to his fans. We deserve that much. We won't settle for screenshota to keep us at bay.

With me, I have more of a prob with them pushing it back again then what I do them pushing it back another month. Like I said in my blog, who here remembers Reggie saying "Not next year, not next Spring" and yet it is this year, it is this Spring... We had to wait like 5 months after E3 to hit December. So another month isn't going to kill me (that much...). My prob is, yet again Nintendo has lied to us and pushed it back yet again. I'd be more happy with them saying "December of 2008" and when they get it done say "Oh, we're moving the date up to March 27th.".

They need to keep their mouths shut. Get a definite date, then announce it. WITHOUT FLAW. No "wait, here's another character, let's hold the game back!"

The day the Wii came out, I said that I will personally fly to Nintendo of America, & throw my Wii through their window if they don't stop with their bull crap. Reggie talks too damn much, excuse my french.

I saw your blog. I'ma make my own.

Meh, I'm not that surprised. I had a feeling that it would be delayed.
Hopefully we'll get Brawl before 2014.

The only things that I'm worried about are the spoilers that will be revealed when the game launches in Japan.
Most people won't be able to resist looking at the spoilers before they get Brawl in Americia. :P

I honestly don't mind the game being pushed back. They could push it back to 2009 and I'd still buy it. I'd be... rather annoyed, but I'd still get it and I'd be content with it because such a long delay means they're making it better.

But... thing is, with this delay, they aren't. They already got a PERFECT SCORE from Famitsu. Japan is getting it by the time the month is out. There aren't going to be any more additions. What they have now is it. It's going to press and nothing new will come of it.

I'm annoyed that we have an extra month and Japan got a week. I should be used to that since I play games by Square-Enix where it can take months and months for localization but, as I mentioned before, Nintendo hasn't done that. Recently, most of their big games have been localized as they're developed. Considering we were originally set for a release date only a week or two after Japan, it's very safe to say they've been doing it the whole time. So why are we waiting until March whereas Japan is waiting until the end of January?

Delays when there's a perfectly good explanation for them are fine. Delays with no apparent reason? That's... where it gets annoying for me. :\

It could have been a marketing error. Or stock. Or just overall mass under-production. This is why I have pactience. These thigs happen. But still.

.........................If I type what I really feel about this, I'd get quite a few infractions. Nintendo, GO TO HELL. D:<

I was waiting to play it during the president's week vacation..=[

Same here.

But what I think the reason is is to create a commotion so that people who don't play SSBB will get hell from the rest of us and pick up the game after listening to everyone they know telling them its an amazing game.

Either that or they are going to double check everything in the game so the " higher ups " can play it before anyone else.

Some of us fans may be complaining now, but maybe this delay is for the best. Let's just try and keep it at that. Delays can be irritating and hard to be patient with, but we just have to go through it. Besides, technically it's not a month long delay. XD

Still. They MUST stop pulling this on us out of the blue. They can only get so far with that line "A delayed game is eventually good-a rushed game is bad forever".

Most importantly, the game is comeplete. No further changes will be added (what can they add in a month, anyway?).

omg this SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TTTT.TTTT
i was so looking forward to this game coming out on feb 10th
i am so dissapointed and the fact that japan only gets a fricken week delay really pisses me off
and yah im looking foward to no more heroes as im sure most of you are
but it just cant compare to ssbb i mean come on nintendo
i cant wait any longer for this game to come out

if they delay it one more time i will boycot nintendo of america XD whos with me???

I think the delays are all good.
Think about it, they normall would have released it by now, if it were on the regular release date (the first one), but they extended it. All of those things on the smash dojo after the original date wouldn't be there (including sonic!)

Whoa, don't start any boycotts yet. I would suggest so if they plan to delay any longer, but this delay should be tolerated. We wouldn't want any more delays caused by our constant complaints about delays, now do we? I hope that made enough sense.

OMG ARE YOU A MAD MAN!!!!! XD

well im sure all the characters were already in the game itself they just release the info on them every once and a while so that everyone can just tease us wityh everything and have all the japanese luagh at us when they are playing brawl and we have to wait =[

I am quite certain that Sonic was added long before the first "delay" announcement. Wasn't he playable at a conference only a few days after the announcement? You don't get that kind of playability when the character's only been added a few days before. D; Regardless, that's not what most of us are annoyed about. I'll gladly sit through extra delays if they're adding or tweaking the game, but they aren't. The game is as finished now as it ever will be. We're just seemingly waiting for no reason. :x

Very VERY close.

These things are here already. They deliver the info in short burst. Not to tease us, but to feed our appetite, in a way.

The first time, however, was to perfect the wifi connections. I have absolutely NO problem with that, as I will not play a game with crappy wifi.

my friend called me about this, i had no idea at the time and was with another friend who is a hard core nintendo freak. I was upset that it was delayed, again again but i think my other friend stayed home from school to cry, seriously he was so pissed

Um, ok...

As upset as I am, it isn't THAT serious...

He might need to put the games down, for just a bit, if he's missing school over a game.

Well, I was going to get it for my birthday, but seeing as the game has been delayed again, I'll have to save my gift cards, and look for another gift.

They probably need time to finalize the game...
