Okay, so I just started working on a guide to Surviving the Zombie
Apocalypse! (I'm pretty sure you already understood that, though)
So, since I'm writing this guide, I'd also like people's opinions. Things like,
if I should rearrange the steps because the order doesn't make sense or
just if I should add or take away certain aspects because it would be
more efficient. Nevertheless, I present you:

Spoiler:
Staying in one place during the zombie apoclypse is really kind of a bad idea. But, until you have the time to make
weapons/make your car impenetrable/kill enough zombies to leave then what really are your options? Sure, you want to leave,
but what's everyone else going to be donig at the time? So basically you end up in Rush-Hour traffic, except people aren't
rushing to get to work, they're rushing to get eaten because they're sitting still in a car while waiting for the walking dead to
come along and open up their free buffet of canned goods.
No, what you want to do is the following:
or family member's house. If your really want to stay in your apartment, however, I have a few suggestions:
Contrary to popular belief, don't go to the mall, or the gunstore, or your Uncle Frank's house. Stay where you are and work on
making your house a temporary impenetrable fort. The mall and the gunstore are most definitely the worst places to go beause
of, not only increased populations, but everyone goes to those places. By the time you got to the gunstore it'll probably be
either cleaned out, too fortified to get into (it is a gunstore, after all), or the half-crazy owner will have already sealed himself
inside after having to kill at least one of his family members. I'm fairly certain I don't have to explain why the mall is a bad place
to go. But, I'll do it anyway. Not only is it too open, it'd be nigh impossible to get there, and impossible to even try to fortify it.
And even if you manage to lock yourself into one of the stores, how will you get out to get food when the whole mall of zombies
are banging on the metal grate to get to the only piece of fresh meat in the mall?
In the next step we'll cover getting weapons and the best types of weapons you should get.

No, what you want to do is the following:
- Get a ladder into your house
- Destroy all outside stairways (if you have an axe lying around, I suggest using that)
- Board up all windows (with the lumber you got from destroying the stairs)
- Get everything important out of downstairs
- Board up all windows and doors downstairs
- Stay on second story of house
- Fill stairwell with furniture or anything else you can find
- Take a break to call loved ones to come to your zombie fortress
- Get two ladders
- Get lots of lumber
- Use lumber to make inside of house completely and utterly inaccessable
- Make a hole or entryway onto roof
- Use one ladder to enter fortified house and other to climb off of house in case escape is needed
or family member's house. If your really want to stay in your apartment, however, I have a few suggestions:
- Check to see if anyone in your apartment building is a zombie
- Proceed to eradicate any nearby zombies
- If you live in the upper levels of the apartment, block off the stairs and only use the elevators to exit the building
- If you live on the lower levels, get an upper level one. It shouldn't be hard to find an abandoned one or one full of zombies
- Board up the windows in your apartment
- Proceed to call family members and arrange snackage
