Name: Gin Tokoma
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Personality: Gin is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. He possesses an IQ of 170. He rarely speaks, and always acts to his own best interests. He cares little for others, and usually gives little thought to the plights and suffering of other people. His motivations, like nearly every other aspect of him, is a mystery to others.

The truth is that Gin is a member of Sylviar Training Corporation, a top-secret Sinnoh governmental agency dedicated to unlocking the "true potential" of Pokémon. He trains his Pokémon constantly. Although he appears cold and unfeeling to others, he in fact wishes only to see Pokémon realize the full extent of their power; he takes great pleasure in pushing an otherwise weak Pokémon to never-before-thought-of levels of power. He avoids forming emotional bonds with his Pokémon; for, as a member of STC, his Pokémon will be taken from him and reassigned to other governmental agencies when his superiors feel he has trained them to their peak. Over the course of his career, he has trained over 100 Pokémon to incredible levels.

He has no desire to become a standard trainer. Although he is assigned Pokémon, he occasionally considers capturing wild Pokémon. He cannot, however, as doing so is not permitted by his job.

He often acts hostile and antagonistic towards others, pointing out their faults and errors, but he only does this to get them to push themselves and improve. Although this often causes others to dislike him, he cares nothing for others' perceptions of him. He has extreme patience and is very slow to anger; however, when he IS angered, he can be a force to be reckoned with.

He is actually somewhat compassionate, especially towards children, though he never shows it in front of others.

He is very calm and in control; he never panics, even in otherwise hopeless situations. Although he is quick to ensure his own survival and well-being, he pushes others to find their own means of survival, in order to make themselves stronger.

He works with other humans when necessary, but otherwise avoids any real interaction with them. He is tolerant of many things, and is only moderately annoyed by such things as childishness and laziness. However, the one thing that he absolutely cannot stand is complete apathy; he believes that to be completely indifferent to everything is no better than being dead.

Appearance: Short, whitish hair with dark, heavy eyes. His face is strong and prominent, with numerous creases in his face. He rarely smiles. He has a somewhat light skin tone, though he does tan occasionally. He is tall and well-built, and tends to train himself as well as his Pokémon, making him very fit physically despite his age. This gives him an imposing presence. He typically wears a formal gray suit and pressed gray pants; if he does wear casual clothes, no one has ever seen him as such. He wears a black tie, and has a belt with several poke balls on it. He walks with a degree of determination, and his infamous "stare" can intimidate even the toughest of people. He usually keeps his arms behind his back or in his pockets.

To get a good picture of him, picture a proud naval admiral standing on the deck of his flagship, staring with pride at his fleet. This is much the same stance Gin takes when watching his "pupils" battle and train.

Bio: Born into a well-to-do family, Gin was raised on the motto of "excellence in all things." He flew through his schooling at a frightening level, and, with his father's influence, gained a prominent governmental internship. Though he was well-paid and respected, he felt unfulfilled by this simple desk job.

Then, as part of a department recreational program, every member of the department, including Gin, was given a low-level Pokémon to train in preparation for a tournament. Gin felt a degree of satisfaction in training the Riolu assigned to him, and come tournament day, he dominated every adversary.

In actuality, the program was a recruitment effort for members of the newly-created STC. Gin was asked to join and, recalling the sense of fulfillment he got from training the Riolu, accepted.

He quickly gained a name as the star of the STC. Regardless of the Pokémon in question, none could match him; the speed and efficiency as well as the end results of his training earned him fame within the government's secret departments. He quickly became one of the most famous individuals no one's ever heard of.

Over the next several years, he trained over 100 Pokémon to unprecedented levels. He takes great pride in his work. However, recently he has begun feeling a sense of longing for something more.

His greatest claim to fame is secretly training a Pokémon for the leader of the Sinnoh government (I have no idea if Sinnoh is a democracy, monarchy, or what.)

He is en route to Johto to rendezvous with a member of a similar organization there, for diplomatic purposes.

Pokémon: Shinji (Wartortle)
Gender: Male
Disposition: Indifferent
Personality: Restrained and quiet. He dislikes complex situations, and prefers a life of quiet and solitude. He cares little for things like battle or training, but follows Gin's will because he has little motivation otherwise.
History: Assigned to Gin as a Squirtle, and trained to evolution. He is perhaps the closest of Gin's current roster to being reassigned.
Assignment #: 124

Pokémon: Kuruma (Lucario)
Gender: Female
Disposition: Views Gin as a worthy trainer.
Personality: Tough and focused. She is a dedicated fighter and enjoys showing off her skill. She cares little for mundane activities, and usually spends her free time training or resting.
History: Given to Gin as-is. She's been with Gin for a short while now.
Assignment #: 125

Pokémon: Fusil (Pikachu)
Gender: Female
Disposition: Views him with disdain and unfounded hatred.
Personality: Fiery, ambitious, and proud. She is quick to anger and slow to calm, and has trouble controlling her Electric powers when she's really fired up. Arrogant, and detests being given orders and following others.
History: Designed as a true test of Gin's skills. Fusil has fought the control of every trainer she has ever been with. If Gin can't bring her under control, no one can.
Assignment #: 126

I need more information on appearance. Also I would prefer more on personality, too.
I would prefer it if you made him a little younger too, since being stranded on an island is going to be tough for a man in his forties.

Also, chu's are not going to be catchable for a long time in this roleplay, maybe never. So if you want one soon, then you might be better off making it a pokemon your character already has.

The sun was pounding as a blue-haired teen groaned. A Marill waddled up and sprayed water on the teenager's face. The teen jolted awake instantly.

"What the... what happened?..." The blue haired teen groaned out rubbing his head, which had a sizeable bump on it. He suddenly remembered what happened as his eyes widened.

"The boat..." he said looking around. The boat was nowhere in sight. It seemed he drifted to a tropical island.

-Flashback-

Angel gripped the railing as the boat swayed side to side visciously. Angel held on for his life as the ship rocked violently in the heavy storm. Rain and hail mixed and pelted down harshly as the boy tried to hold on. He suddenly slipped as the boat rocked in the opposite direction. He fell towards the captain's quarters and all went black as his head hit the wall. a pokeball fell out of his bag, hit it's button against the wall and opened revealing a Marill. And none too soon as the ship tossed the other way, knocking the unconscious teen into the water.

-End flashback-

Apparently, the boat had sunken. Did anyone else survive? Did any supplies survive? Where was he? Was anything of the boat salvageable? Was the island charted? All these questions and more ran through Angel's head rapidly. A thought crossed his mind and he suddenly started panicking. Starting to hyperventilate, he looked around him. Finding his black and blue messenger bag not far away, he snatched it up greedily. He immidiately began searching through it, tossing things behind him out of his way in the process. A few seconds later, the bag was empty. He picked it up and held it upside down, shaking it to see if anything fell out.

Realizing it wasn't there, he dropped the bag as his blue eyes overdilated in fear. He quickly assumed the fetal position and began rocking back and forth slowly. He had entered withdrawal. The Marill waddled over and put it's paw on his shoulder, as if offering support.

((OOC: sorry it's short, but they'll get longer. Angel just can't function properly without music.))

Elliot was enjoying his time on the cruise with his family, he was at the bow of the boat, and was currently enjoying the wind in his black hair, not to mention the great view on such a beautiful day. He'd let out his Pokémon, Morpheus the Vibrava, had it not been too windy. Suddenly something bit him on the leg.

"OW!" Elliot yelled, flinching in the process. He looked down, but already knew what to expect. It was his sister's Pokemon, Pikachu the Meowth. He honestly couldn't understand why she had decided on that name. He saw his sister not too far behind Pikachu. "Can you recall you're stupid cat?"

Her face suddenly went all contorted in a sort of maddened fury. "Don't call him stupid. He's a good little Meowth, knows where there is trouble." She retorted. The Meowth was walking back towards his owner anyway.

"Yeah because it caused it." Elliot thought, hobbling off, giving his sister a menacing stare in the proceess. "This trip was a lot more fun, before dad had to get her that stupid thing... All it does is cause trouble."

Elliot would have started missing his friends at this point, if it hadn't been for all the girls on the ship, to distract him with. He remembered his encounter with a few, where he decided to talk with one sitting next to him, when he was sun tanning on the deck. Unfortunately for him, the girl did not speak English, and only giggled when he tried to make conversation. He even tried to get some other girls to notice him, so he attempted to make a cool looking dive off of the diving board. He still wasn't sure if that worked. He had already decided he'd try to talk to another girl tomorrow when he wasn't hobbling as much (though he was probably making too much out of it).

With these days at sea, he decided to explore the ship. Today he decided to visit the indoor Pokémon stadium, and watch a battle or two. When he entered the viewing area, he watched as a machop fought a growlithe. It looked like the trainers were having fun, though the Pokémon didn't really appear to be in battle spirit, this, Elliot thought, was probably due to the more frequent waves that had been occurring throughout the day. He was glad he did not get seasick.

After about 4 battles Elliot looked at his watch, it was nearly supper time.

"Well I better get back to our cabin," Elliot thought. "Boy am I startving!"

When he got back to his cabin, his parents and sister were already there.

"Well son, are you ready to have some supper?" His father asked.

"What took you so long?" His sister said coldy.

"Oh come on, it's not like we have to go as a family; anyway, there's a buffet, I don't like sitting down and waiting for supper."

"We hardly get time to sit down for supper at home," His mother said. "And anyway, this will be fun."

"Fine whatever." Elliot said.

So they all got prepped and ready for the sit down dinner. Tonight he decided to choose a Filet Minion au Gratin. When he received it, he starred at its succulent beauty before carving it up and eating it (a bit fast too).

"Woah, slow down there Elliot." His father said, smirking a bit.

"Buf I hugree." [But I'm hungry] Elliot said through a full mouth.

"Well slow down anyway, it's not very polite." His mother said.

After dinner, he and his sister went to the Pokémon daycare area, and let out their Pokemon.

"Okay time for you guys to eat a bit something too." Elliot said.

He got some Pokémon food from the Daycare lady, and handed some to his sister. They both fed their Pokémon, and they both seemed to enjoy it. Best of all, Elliot's legs were not attacked that time. After they had let them play in the daycare area for a bit, they recalled them. Then his sister had a question.

"Elliot, can you do me a BIG favour?" She asked in a polite like voice. "I know mom usually does it, but can you hold onto Pikachu, I want to go to the Jacuzzi, and don't want to worry about him.

"I can for a fee." Elliot said musingly.

"I'll tell mom you weren't being nice." She retorted.

"Fine..." He said. She handed him Pikachu inside his pokeball and left without saying thank you.

"Spoiled brat..." He thought. "Oh well, once I finish school, I'll go to the Kanto university, and won't have to worry about her."

He went back to the bow of the ship, to watch the sunset. On his way there, he noticed an iPod with headphones still sticking out, on the ground, and decided to pocket it in his zipper pocket. He also noticed that when he got there, or rather even when he was attempting to get there, that the wind was pushing even harder this time. He decided to grab a small jacket he had brought along. It was a blue and black jacket, and to no one's surprise, had a surfer's logo on it. Feeling slightly warmer, he sat down to watch the sun set.

Suddenly, without warning, the boat gave a jerk, then another one. Then lightning suddenly began to be evident, while the wind also picked up. He had a hard enough time holding onto his beach chair. Suddenly the sun seemed to disappear, though it didn't make sense to be that sudden. Then Elliot saw it, a giant wave was heading in the direction of the boat, and they were heading straight for it ((if one recalls that turning parallel to a wave is most dangerous, thus the captain would have tried for a head on approach)). The wave was most likely a result of a giant storm off in the distance. Elliot had no real time; he put the pokeballs in his zippered pocket for security, and ran towards the railing to brace himself as best he could he noticed the lifebuoy next to him, and wrapped his arm around that too, for good measure.

Then the impending wave rushed in, it was completely massive, beating the cruise ship in height by just a few metres. The rush of the wave was too powerful, and it forced Elliot to let go, though miraculously he still had a hold on life buoy. He was shot upwards as the wave sent him flying into the ocean. He only caught a glimpse of the ship turning on itself.

Finally landing in the ocean, he got a better hold of the life buoy. However, his situation wasn't much improved; he had plenty of violent waves to contend with. He was kicking constantly, always trying to stay above the water, despite the buoy's aid, to get air.

He continued this for about two hours, looking back at times when possible to see the cruise ship, but could not see it whatsoever. Finally about another 2 hours later, the sea seemed to have died down. He did not kick as much now, and to his surprise managed to spot some land. He attempted to weakly kick in that direction.

Finally making it on to the land, he crawled on to the dry part where he collapsed and passed out from exhaustion.

***

He woke up.

"What a wild dream." He thought. Then he opened his eyes, and to his disdain realized the truth of the situation.

Where was his family, where was he, what is he going to do? Some of the few questions going on in his head. He got up and looked around; he couldn't see anyone, though the now risen sun wasn't making it easy with the sand. He fell back on the sand in a complacent manner, having not fully collected his thoughts, or realizing the situation yet.

Something was nudging Ivory, and she didn't like it. Couldn't they see she was asleep? Geez. Maybe if she ignored them, it would go away. That would be nice. But it didn't stop. Actually, it became more urgent. Fine, whatever, she'll tell them nicely to stop. The bed wasn't all too comfortable anyway. Did she eat something before going to bed? It felt like there were crumbs. Also, were there Wingull around?
Ivory opened her eyes, and immediately squinted against the burning sun. Strange. She looked at whatever was nudging her, and looked into the eyes of her Lapras, Amphitrite. Wait what? Wasn't Amphi supposed to be in her Pokéball? Plus, why would she be on the deck of the Louisia? Why was Ivory on the deck of the Louisia? Obviously she wasn't in her room anymore, there was no sun in her room. Why couldn't she remember anything?! Wait…

~Flashback~

Ivory was sitting in the sun outside on the deck. It felt glorious, even though she knew what it did to her freckles. She was wearing her most summery clothing, which were the light denim shorts ending a little below her butt and the yellow top with the frills. She knew the top made her small figure look better and that the shorts hugged her form nicely and made her look older. Well, made her look her age instead of three years younger. Also her red hair was only partly pulled back, the rest wave nicely curling down. Well, maybe a little wilder than wanted, but she had still managed to tame it.
So all in all she felt nice, and she looked nice. Was it imagined or was she actually being checked out by some boys? Ahh, cruises. You gotta love them.

Her Pokémon were also obviously having fun. Cubone was hitting things with her Bone, as always. She didn't really worry about anything as long as she heard a metallic clang and not a human screech. Mareep was safely in her Pokéball, the ship would only frighten her anyway. Ivory knew how Apolla could get frightened and therefore kept her securely inside her Pokéball. Lapras was also still inside. She'd let her swim freely overboard, but the waves had gotten a bit more aggressive and she didn't want to risk Amphitrite getting lost or anything.

So all in all it was a great day. Ivory slid her sunglasses on the back of her head as she squinted to look around without them on. Her piercing green eyes looked around. There was a lot of grey clouds going on far away from the boat. She hoped they wouldn't come nearer, she didn't want to chance getting seasick again. Not on a day like this.
"Aaaah!"
Ivory looked around to see people pointing at the horizon. A huge wave came towards the ship. She barely had time to summon Persephone back into her ball and it hit. The entire ship rocked. She held on to the railing but she saw another wave come behind the one before it. She elt someone bump into her and she fell overboard. It all went kind of slow-motion. She remembered taking Amphitrite's Pokéball out just before she hit the water. The Lapras got out and then… blank..

~Flashback~

She tried to get up, but her head hurt too much, she just collapsed back down again. Is that what shipwrecking did to you? Make your head hurt? That should be the least of her worries, but sadly, it wasn't. It was like watching yourself in a movie, it didn't really clue in what was happening to her. She attempted sitting up again, this time very slowly. It worked, even though her head still wasn't entirely agreeable.

"Hey Amphi. How are you doing?" She smiled at the Lapras, even though it was a weak smile. The Lapras answered with a high pitch, which sounded beautiful, as it always did. She looked nice and healthy to Ivory, so everything must be fine with her. Ivory knew that Amphitrite was still young, and so she worried if she was okay, but she seemed just fine.

Wait! What about the others. She looked around frantically, where was her bag? Where were the others? But she must have had her bag, or she would never have been able to summon Amphi out. Right? Then where was it?! She felt something slowly tugging at her and looked to see Amphitrite with Ivory's bag in her mouth. And the strap was attached to… her. She felt so stupid, how could she not have noticed she was wearing the damn thing already? She pulled the strap over her head and retrieved her other two Pokémon. Thanks god they were there, the Pokéballs. Would the water affect them? Only one way to find out.

"Persephone, Apolla, come out little ones!" The Cubone came out unharmed, and so did the Mareep. Well, Apolla was physically unharmed at least. The poor thing was entirely shaking! And the shaking was making her wool go extremely static. Poor thing. "Hush, little one, it's okay. We're unharmed. And look! We're on a vacation! Tropical Island included. Now where is the resort?" She joked around, but Apolla still looked like a frightened cat, except in sheep form. Well her hair was indeed standing straight with electricity.

"You know I would hug you right now, but I believe that might be fatal." She smiled at the thing, but it was still shaking. Sparks were flying off her back and she was nervously looking around. Ivory knew this behavior and also knew that it wouldn't stop for a while now. So instead she looked around for Phione, who was nowhere to be seen. Great. An overactive Cubone with a weapon was on the loose. And she was going to have to claim responsibility for her.

Ivory noticed she was still sitting, well time to get up. Her head had decided to calm down just a tiny bit, so she assumed it was okay. As it turned out, shipwrecking also left your legs without much support. She had to stabilize herself my holding onto Amphitrite's head, which the Lapras wasn't too thrilled about. After awhile, her legs began working again and now she stood she could really see. The beach went on for a while and then ended abruptly, turning into a thick green forest. She couldn't really see beyond the forest, the trees were too entangled to really see anything.

She looked behind her and noticed there was also no sign of the ship. The sea was gorgeous, that had to be said, a pure turquoise. But no ships, nothing was really on it. The beach was the only place that showed what had happened. There was rubbish everywhere. Large chunks of wood from the boat, some crates that were either smashed and empty or closed and who knows what was still in them. There wasn't much more than crates and rubbish. Well, if you didn't count the people that were laying between them. People!
And, one was being hit by a Cubone. A strangely familiar Cubone, that was.
"Persephone! Stop that immediately!" She quickly made her way towards the stranded boy. Well.. as quickly as her rubbery legs allowed her to.
"I'm sorry, uhm. Are you okay?"

Hmm…the water feels nice…I can't remember what happened before now. Hm, what's this, is it carrying me?…Oh well, I'll take a nap, I guess…, his mind was still foggy, couldn't quite take in what had happened, he closed his eyes, and let the object guide his body. Some time later, Huh…What's this? Something is touching my feet?, he reached out with his hands, It feels like sand…Bleh!, sand met his mouth, and the taste was enough to make him pull his face out of the water, spitting the sand out of his mouth. Opening his eyes, Thomas quickly took to rubbing them, the salt was agonizing. Rubbing with salty hands didn't help either. He finally gave up on the eyes, and shut them, while checking for his belongings. Unfortunately, all he had on his person was the two pokeballs containing his friends, and 5 pokeballs, Great…I lost my pokedex and supplies…Guess I'm gonna have to wing it…how lame.

Thomas stretched, and then stood. He took a chance and opened his eyes; they didn't burn or anything at all anymore.
"Wartortle! War!", a calm voice came. Thomas looked to the voice, it was a familiar sight; his Wartortle. The turtle wore a relieved expression on his face.
"Hmm, so you're ok then? Were you carrying me in the water? I can't remember clearly, but it's coming back to me. The boat crashed, right?", Thomas asked, he didn't like being so disoriented. Information is something he craved at this point. The turtle nodded to all the questions, then sat himself down at his trainer's feet. Thomas suddenly felt weak in the legs, and sat down, leaning against Wartortle. "Thanks for the assistance, dude…", Thomas was already starting to drift into sleep again. The dreams accompanying his sleep provided the reason for his current situation.

(Note: Dream will be told from Thomas' point of view, only his thoughts, actions, and dialogue will be shown.)
"Ahh…What a nice day it is today…The waves are nice, the sun is out. This looks like an ideal way to spend the trip to Olivine…Hey, Wartortle. You shouldn't hog the shade", I told Wartortle. Seriously, what does he think he's doing, taking my shade for himself…
"Tortle. Wartortle…", Wartortle replied, he was already about half asleep. Fine, I guess I'll grab some food while he's sleeping. That barbeque over there looks good, not too far from me either!

…Mmm, this is some good food, maybe I should share some with Wartortle…Nah he's asleep still.
"Hey, slacker. Get up I've got some food for you", I said tauntingly. What? I'm not allowed to change my mind? Whatever. You still won't wake up? Slacker… I guess I'll just check the sunset, it looks nice right about now, I think. Yep, just about perfect..
.
----
Hey, the wind is getting stronger? What?! Lightning! Eh, where'd the sun go?! That wave doesn't look too good, I should get Wartortle!
"Hey, Wartortle, come here!", I called to my pokemon, he was up and was stepping slowly towards me. I ran towards him and latched on, he won't fly overboard without me. Go figure right as that thought enters my head that we just happen to fly overboard? Yuck! Sea water tastes nasty! Luckily I've got Wartortle, or else I would've been washed clear to the bottom…
"Wartortle, good job staying afloat! Keep it up, I don't wanna drown!", I had to yell to be heard over the lightning cracks.
"Tortle!", he grunted, struggling to keep above water for my sake; he's a good pokemon. A loud crash is heard, and I turn my head to see something fly over board, and it's just my luck that it soars through the air and I feel a pain in my head, then all is black, I see no more…

Thomas snaps his eyes open, So. That's what happened…That, or it was a pretty elaborate dream… Thomas thought, his face changing into a frown. Looking over Wartortle, he didn't see any particularly bad injuries, so Thomas rested his head back against the shell of his friend. I think I'll nap a little more before I try to sort this situation out…

Thomas woke abruptly soon after to something smashing his face. "Hey! HEY! That hurts...", He roared at his attacker, a small pokemon with a skull on its' head; he'd never seen one before. Although at this point in time, that didn't quite matter to Thomas. He decided to glare angrily at the pokemon, until he heard a voice call. It seemed like the voice belonged to someone the pokemon knew, as it stopped almost immediately. Thomas identified the source of the voice, it came from a girl a ways off, she seemed to be asking him a question, he couldn't tell though; his head was still pounding from the beating.
"I'm alright!", Thomas answered the girl, hoping it was a suitable response for the question.

((Italics = Flashbacks. His aren't that long, because he doesn't dwell on things much... :3))

"Mmmmm..." The male, splayed upon the sand with seaweed strewn across his face, murmured softly. "That's right Cal-Cal, onward, so we can find the buried treasure! Yeah!" One fist punched at the air triumphantly, colliding with the sinister-looking Pokemon that was hunched over him.

"Sneasel!" The piercing cry was enough to cause Kaze's eyes to snap open, an abrupt arousal from his slumber.

"Ah!" Kaze hollered, sensing the seaweed draped across his mouth. "Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew! It's a monster! It's trying to kill me!" Stan swiped the algae from the flailing man and flung it aside, hoping that he was unharmed after tumbling off Cal-Cal's back and falling into the sea on their journey away from the shipwreck. Did Kaze even remember the incident? Stan's trainer had sobered slightly, and was now reclining upon the sand, a pensive expression dominating his face.

Flotsam and jetsam littered the surface of the lucent sea which glistened beneath the luminous rays of the white beacon that was suspended within the sky; light fragmented by the aqueous body bestowing an azure hue upon the water. Indeed, it was picturesque tranquillity, the waves bearing little energy and low crests, the wind a mere whisper of air that tickled the cheeks of the male. Kaze's tongue slithered out from between his lips, licking away the salty tang that had accumulated about his mouth and releasing a content sigh upon observing the scenery that surrounded him.
"Ahahaha!" He cackled to himself with unadulterated mirth plastered across his face. "You thought you could get rid of me, didn't you, you stupid ocean! Ahahahaha!" Came the second chortle, high-pitched and saturated to the brim with hysteria. "Oh man... I'm surrounded by a giant blue idiot!" A low moan rumbled from beneath the male, who hastened to elaborate upon his statement before a powerful fountain of water spurted from the rotund sphere of blubber that had rescued him from the wreckage and drenched Kaze's scrawny self. "No no Cal-Cal! I meant the sea, see? Oh my... Sea see!" Hilarity consumed him for the third time, as he collapsed backwards upon the Wailmer ensared within a seizure of laughter. The other Pokemon, who also happened to be aboard the S.S Cal-Cal rolled his eyes at the immaturity exhibited by his companion and the sheer drivel leaking from his mouth, giving him his best boss-eyed stare.

"Holy crap Stan, look! An island!" The man exploded with effervescence upon turning his back on the creature and catching sight of the landmass that had appeared on the horizon. "We can go there and live like Tarzan! Only with better hair and glitter! Think of all the bananas we could eat! Cal-Cal!" Kaze commanded, leaping to his feet and utilising his acrobatic skills to stay balanced upon the moving whale, tossing his cape behind his back (there was little wind for it to flutter in). "Head toward the island!"

"So I uh, remember falling off Cal-Cal's back…" Kaze nodded, sobriety commanding his facial features. "What… What else happened?"

It had started to get somewhat chilly upon deck, so they had descended to one of the many lounges aboard the ship shortly before panic had erupted. Kaze was more concerned with the fact that it was his turn on the karaoke machine when the wave struck, and had been serenading his fellow passengers with his own rendition of the main theme from 'Titanic' as the boat juddered from the impact.

"Oh, oh!" Finally, the sequence of events dawned upon the male, triumph fleeting across his face by means of a goofy grin. "Now I remember… I was singing really good when the wave hit, wasn't I, Stan?" Kaze beamed enthusiastically, completely evading the most important factor of the incident- the factor that had contributed to the result of him being stranded upon this isle. "It was almost as if it happened because I was singing that song! Only… It's not the right time of year for icebergs… Hmmm… I wish we'd found a Jack on board the ship. But that woulda meant that I'd have to let him drown... What? What's that look for? Oh yeah, you look like that all the time, sorry, forgot. Let's see… The glass broke in the windows, and the water started gushing in!"
Indeed, much of the ship was submerged at the point when he had grabbed Cal-Cal's Pokeball from within his cloak and summoned the whale. "Then, Stan… Cal-Cal helped us get air, didn't he?"

Burning. The sensation of suffocation and the demand for oxygen to satiate his body's functions, combining as a piercing pain that maimed his lungs.

"I'm good at holding my breath though, so I was okay!"

Muffled cries of those drowning into doom…

"Let's go find a monkey Pokemon, Stan!" Kaze grinned once again, rising to his feet and adjusting his wet cape. "Or a bucket and spade, and we can make a huuuuuge sandcastle to live in!" He began to totter across the sand, the cross-eyed Sneasel in disgruntled pursuit.

"Staaan," Kaze wailed, exaggeratedly enunciating the Sneasel's name and combining it with a quiver of his lower lip upon catching the expression upon his partner's face. "Did the big wave steal your sense of humour along with your disguise?" Gasping dramatically, the male clutched at his chest and addressed Stan with concern. "... If the police catch us, it's all going to be your fault, Stan. Because you lost your disguise. I've got mine on, see?" Kaze indicated to the decoratively spangled mask that he sported across the upper half of his face and that had remained there thanks to the elastic stretched across the back of his flaming-red head. It had been fundamental that both human and Sneasel spent the duration of the cruise garbed in their costumes, in order to avoid having their identities revealed. Kaze had argued (remarkably rationally, for him) that whilst clad in such attire, they would be perceived as performers who worked aboard the ship and therefore avoid being detected by any Lilycove police officers who happened to be there too. Therefore, the duo had sported matching heeled, scarlet leather boots on their feet, matching purple satin capes and originally, matching silver masks. The aforementioned boots made trudging across the sand more difficult than it should have been, but Kaze made no endeavours to remove them.

"I guess we'll have to sacrifice our capes so we can have shower curtains in our sand mansion, Stan," Kaze sighed reluctantly. He removed the article in question from about his shoulders, allowing for the sun to bathe his uncovered flesh with warmth; simultaneously revealing the eyebrow-raising combination of a woman's tube top and a pair of outrageous Hawaiian shorts. His beloved scar was exposed somewhat due to the lack of material covering his collarbone and stomach. "But hey, at least people won't walk in and see us in the nude, no matter how pretty we are!"

Adeline was in a deep sleep. Sand was all over her clothes. There is no decent place to sleep on a deserted island. Addy could smell salt...salty water. It wasn't a pleasent smell to her. The feel of sand wasn't a good feeling, either. Something began to poke at her arm. The poking wasn't a good feeling, either. Addy woke up and looked to the side. She saw Pixie, her Ninetails there. Addy thought that she put Pixie in her Pokeball. Weird things happen like that.

"Where am I?" Addy asked no one in particular, slowly standing up. She began to come through her hair with her fingers in an attempt to get some sand out of her silky hair. "And why am I covered in sand?" She began to look around and realized she wasn't on a cruise ship anymore.

"What the...? What happened?!" Adeline was nervous. She frantically looked around, looking for any trace of the ship, or anyone, for that matter.

-Flashback-

Addy was on the deck of the boat, looking at the deep, neverending ocean. Her Pokemon were all in their Pokeball, not out and about like they usually are. She was wearing the clothes she normally wears: A black, frilly tube dress with a purple tank top under it, along with tight pink skinny jeans underneath. Her black combat boots were rolled down to her ankle like they normally are. Addy was just leaning against the railing, doing absolutely nothing.

From what the dark-haired girl rememberd, gray clouds appeared out of nowhere. That was absolutely random. The waves weren't small and peaceful anymore. They were now rough and aggressive. People began to run around and panic. That's not a good thing to do when the ship was about to get hit by a giant wave. Wait, wave? Yes, a giant wave. The boat began to rock wildly. Addy didn't have much time to save herself. Pixie and Ponyta were fire type, so they were no good, and Abby was a dark type, she wouldn't do much good.

Jumping in the aggressive waters was a stupid idea, even Addy knew that. She had to find a way to rescue herself. There wasn't much time before the ship capsized. There weren't many rescources to work with. There were some surfboards from some passangers. They wouldn't notice since they were too busy panicking. With that, Addy grabbed some random board. While she did that, she began to wonder why someone would bring a surfboard on a cruise...that's Addy for you.

It didn't matter to her, though. It's their loss and her gain. As the boat continued to rock, she jumped off with the board in hand. She wasn't the best at surfing, mostly because she didn't know how. She knew some stuff from movies, though. It was hard to swim through the aggressive waves, but she managed to do it. Within in several hours, she was able to find a deserted island. There, she collapsed and fell asleep from all that swimming. That's about the time when her Ninetails popped out of her Pokeball.

-End Flashback-

"That was an unfortunate event..." Addy began to remember most of what happened. "Oh my gosh, Ponyta and Abby! Are they okay?!" She began to worry about them. Luckily, she found their Pokeballs in her messenger bag that she had espicially for the cruise. "Oh, good, they're still here!"

The dark-haired girl sat down on the sand. Pixie was curled up in a little ball next to her, trying to fall asleep. Addy began to think about how long she'll be on this island. If anyone is there with her or not. If she'll ever see home again. All these thought began to dominate the girl's mind.

"Oh, Pixie, what if we have to stay here forever?!" Addy whined, hugging her Ninetales. She wasn't used to being alone on an island. Who is? "I don't want to die!" She screamed out and tightened her grip on Pixie.

The first thing Shelby felt was wetness on her ankles and feet. Then she began to slowly pick up the sounds of whooshing waves and the heat of the sun. Shelby groaned and pushed in an upright position, looking around. The first thing she realized was that she was lying on a beach somewhere. She also realized that there was a jungle that seemed fairly dense behind her, with a vast ocean in front of her. She rubbed her head as she slowly began to remember what had happened.

A Few Hours Previously:

Shelby attempted to scramble onto on of the lifeboats when a gigantic wave overtook them and slammed them into the stormy sea. Hail and rain pelted her skin, but the only thing she was concerned for were her faithful Pokémon. Shelby saw something and then there was a giant clang; the boat had struck something and was about to sink. There were several shouts from other passengers, and before she knew it some of them had jumped overboard. The boat was in complete chaos, and something slammed into the back of Shelby's head, causing her to black out.

The last thing I remember, she thought, is a water Pokémon that sort of looked like a seahorse…it saved me. Shelby then thought of something. She grabbed her belt, making sure both pokeballs were still firmly latched on. She saw Larvitar's pokeball—but Quilava's was missing! No! she thought, looking around wildly. Without thinking, she hit the small button on Larvitar's pokeball, allowing the Pokémon access to this new island. He came out in a burst of white light.

"Lar, Larvitar!" Larvitar called happily. Then it looked around and noticed that they didn't seem to be in the right place. He also noticed that Shelby seemed to be rather distraught. Larvitar trotted up to her and patted her on the thigh. His head was cocked to the side, clearly confused. Shelby picked up the baby Pokémon in her arms and patted him on the head. "Lar?"

"Larvitar, I don't know where Quilava is," Shelby murmured. Larvitar looked startled, and then began looking around frantically. After a few moments, Larvitar cried out and began to hit her arm. Shelby blinked and looked at him. He pointed up to a rather tall palm tree, with something red and white near the top. Shelby ran over to it and stared up, Larvitar on her heels. Larvitar looked up at the pokeball in slight awe just at the sheer height of the tree.

"Lar?"

"I'm not sure how we're going to get him down," Shelby replied. She looked at the tree and saw it had nubs on it that looked sturdy enough for her to climb. I suck at climbing, she thought. It was for Quilava though, so she practically marched up to the tree and began to climb. Her foot slipped, and Larvitar cried out. She kept her hold until she finally reached the pokeball. Once she had grabbed it, the branch began to lean towards the ground. An idea in her head, she released her feet (they had been holding onto the tree so she wouldn't fall) and put all of her weight on the branch. Quilava's pokeball fell to the ground, and Shelby let go of the tree.

"Lar!" Larvitar cried out sharply.

"I'm okay," Shelby groaned. The sand had cushioned most of her impact, but that didn't mean that it hadn't hurt. She pressed the button on Quilava's pokeball, and watched as he popped out. Shelby grinned and then basically tackled him, hugging him tightly.

"Lava!" Quilava cried in confusion.

Shelby released her grip and sat down on the sand with both of her Pokémon. Quilava curled on her lap while Larvitar leaned against her leg. Shelby scratched Quilava's head and thought. She wondered what happened to the other people. Had they survived in the storm, or perished? Shelby looked out towards the ocean and suddenly her brother's face appeared before her. Shortly after that, her father's face appeared as well. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she quickly blinked them away.

"Well…now what?" she murmured to her Pokémon. They both looked up at her, and each of their looks looked almost helpless. Shelby swallowed heavily, and looked back out towards the ocean.

Pain seared through Calliope's limbs, each twitch of her muscles releasing a new wave of pain. Her mouth and throat were completely dry and her eyelids were fused shut with salt. Her head pounded furiously and Calliope felt as if her head was about to split in two. Each breath was too painful to bear and all Calliope wanted to do was fall back into unconscious to escape the exhaustion that pressed down on her, but she couldn't for fear that she wouldn't return to her body.

But at least she was alive.

***

"I'll be home in a month, Dad, I promise," Calliope said with a smile. "I'll be fine. I've been fine so far."

"I know, Cal," her father said, a faint smile appearing on his face on the picture-phone's monitor. "Your mother and I just worry about you sometimes."

"I know you do," Calliope said. "But this is good for me. I've learned a lot about Pokemon and medicine and I can't wait to sing you some of the songs I learned in Sinnoh."

"Well, if they're anything like the new songs coming out around here, I'm not sure I want to hear them," Calliope's father said with a laugh.

"Just be sure to take good care of Mom for me, okay?" Calliope said, rolling her eyes. "We can't have her getting all worked up over-"

The lights overhead flickered and the screen went blank.

"Dad?" Calliope called, attempting to reestablish a connection.

Calliope suddenly felt the ship lurch to the side and nearly rolled off her bed.

"Gib?" her small round Pokemon growled from the ground.

"Pip-Piplup!" Piplup chirped. He jumped up onto the bed and hugged Calliope, shivering nervously.

Calliope reached over and placed the picture-phone back into the wall. Holding Piplup, she walked over to the small window and looked out.

Waves rose up high on the surface of the ocean. The sky was gray as large drops of rain splattered against the boat and the wind rocked the ship. Another wave struck the Louisia and forced Calliope to stagger backwards.

Calliope felt a tug at her pant leg and she looked down to see Ninetales holding a lifejacket. Calliope put pulled her bag over her head and put on her kimono, strapping the lifejacket on over top just as another wave struck the side and tossed the ship even more violently than before. Calliope heard some panicked shouts coming from above and immediately raced out of her cabin, her Pokemon following close behind. She ran up the staircase and soon found herself standing on the deck, almost immediately drenched by the rain that was now falling heavily. Calliope stepped forward and lost her footing when the boat was rocked once again, sliding forward and almost tumbling over the railing.

"Gible! Piplup! Ninetales! Get over here!" Calliope yelled frantically, taking out her PokeBalls as she prepared to return them.

Calliope heard the sound of wood scraping against wood and turned around to see the deck tables and chairs sliding toward her. She saw a flash of blonde fur and was knocked backwards off the deck of the ship just as the furniture struck the railing with a crash.

***

Calliope forced her eyelids open and found herself staring at a clear blue sky above. A Wingul soared high above, screeching as it passed.

"Pip! Pip!"

Calliope looked over to see Piplup holding a broken coconut half out to her. Calliope gave her Pokemon a weak smile and pushed herself up off the sand. She looked over and found her Gible and Ninetales lying motionless on the beach, breathing but obviously exhausted. Calliope put down the coconut and crawled over to her Pokemon's sides. She reached under her kimono and slid out a small packet from her bag. She poured a small amount of the powder into each of her Pokemon's mouths, immediately causing them to stir. Calliope smiled and returned to her coconut, quickly devouring the contents and feeling slightly better.

Calliope's momentary serenity faded when she realized what it was exactly that had happened. The people on the boat... Did they all die? Was she stranded here forever?

Would she ever see her parents again?

Calliope tucked her knees up against her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. She began to sing quietly to herself as she rocked herself back and forth slowly.

I should never have left home.

Hey, are you still accepting SU's for this RP? I know I'm asking pretty late in the game, but I stumbled across this RP a couple of hours ago and would love to join. This would actually be my first RP, but I've read enough of it to get a general idea of what you're looking for in a character. Unfortunately, I won't be able to post my SU until tomorrow, since I'm busy cramming for an exam at the moment. Hope to hear from you!

The sea air felt calm. It was a seemingly nice day as a young brunette laid stretched out on her beach chair with her naturally curly hair flowing down her back and her simply stylish sunglasses pressed up upon her face. She didn't usually have much time to soak up the sun's rays on the beach ever since she moved to the Sinnoh region, so she figured while she was on the "somewhat" luxurious ship, she should work on her tan, despite her already being a bit tanned anyways. Her most trusted companion, Houndour, also lay on the deck beside the chair in a rather deep and undisturbed sleep. Wormadam was nearby as well, hopping around cheerfully with a beach ball Leilani had purchased just a few days before setting out.

"Worm, Wormadam!" The peppy Bagworm Pokemon exclaimed as it playfully smacked the beach ball up into the air with its head.

The beach ball flew up and down in the air continuously for a couple of minutes until Wormadam became distracted by a Wingull that was flying up above them. The rainbow-colored sphere shot down like a plushy meteor, hitting Houndour smack dab right on top of its head.

"RAW-RAWR!!!!!" Houndour growled grumpily as it stood up after the rude awakening.

"Worm!" Wormadam cried out in fright.

Wormadam and Houndour didn't quite get along all too often as their personalities were pretty conflicting. Houndour was more reserved and preferred the quiet and calm things in life, and in contrast, Wormadam was really "out there." It could be thought of as being one of those people that have random outbursts of energy and tend to say things that could really make a situation or setting seem awkward. Wormadam seems to enjoy the company of Houndour although Houndour feels the exact opposite.

"Uh, what is going on here?" Leilani asked in a annoyed-sounding tone as she awoke from her slumber.

"Wormadam!!" Wormadam exclaimed as it hid behind Leilani, peering out from behind her to see if Houndour had calmed down.

"Rawr…" Houndour said as it laid down and attempted to return to its sleep state.

"Can you guys go one day without bothering me with one of your stupid fights? Sheesh. Now, just don't hang around each other or I'll return both of you to your small, boring little Pokeballs." Leilani remarked angrily.

"Worm…" Wormadam responded sadly as it went back to playing with the beach ball.

Leilani sighed an irritated sigh and put her sunglasses on but something about her surroundings didn't feel right. The clouds changed to a darkish gray in a matter of minutes although Leilani didn't really pay much attention to this at first. Maybe a storm was heading this way? Whether it was or not, she intended to get her tan, although it would be kind of difficult if the sun is not exactly shining. As she returned to her beach chair, the boat began to rock in an uneasy fashion. She still continued to disregard it, and closed her eyes, until she felt a few raindrops begin to fall.

"UGH! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO STORM NOW OF ALL TIMES?!" Leilani angrily shouted out.

She stood up and saw a bunch of people screaming and yelling, as well as trying to find their loved ones and somehow save themselves. She looked up at the sky and the storm grew heavier and the thunder grumbled loudly, along with some harsh winds that knocked the boat around every which way. It baffled her how quickly the weather had changed from such nice, warm sea air to a harsh raging ocean. The boat started to rock too far left and she saw that her beach chair and Houndour began to slip out towards the end of the boat.

"Ugh, will I never get a break? Houndour, come back." She said as the red light from her Pokeball surrounded Houndour and returned it to its Pokeball quickly. "Wormadam, where are you!? We have to get off this boat before my hair gets ruined from getting too wet! I just got it done a few days ago, you know!!"

"Wormadam, Worm!!" Wormadam cried out, jumping up and down not too far from where Leilani stood.

"Wormadam, I have an idea. Use Psychic on yourself and me! We can float above the ocean and I can avoid getting all wet and icky from the saltwater!" Leilani exclaimed, clearly only thinking of herself.

Wormadam quickly obeyed; its eyes began to glow a light blue tint which then surrounded itself and Leilani as well. Wormadam and Leilani hastily floated up high enough to avoid getting hit by the raging waves of the ocean. Leilani held her curly hair down as she observed the ocean below her that was still crashing against the boat that continuously rocked to and fro, its desperate battle to fight the forceful waves nearly coming to an end, as it began to sink into the water. It was almost like watching the Titantic, except it was happening in real life.

~ A Few Moments of Terror Later ~

Leilani and Wormadam had landed on some island that had appeared to be inhabited. She was unconscious for a few minutes as the wind knocked her around so much, it had tired her out a bit. Wormadam saw her trainer lying on the sand and noted how much she hated for her hair to be ruined, so the Bagworm Pokemon used Psychic on the water to wash some of the sand out.

"AHHHH!! WORMADAM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Leilani screamed as she awakened once again, clutching her long, dark hair in her hands.

"Wormadam!!" Wormadam cried as it covered its eyes with its arm-like expenditures that were attached to its head.

"Where the heck are we? This better be Johto, Wormadam." Leilani remarked as she stood up and observed her surroundings more.

"Worm…" Wormadam said in a sad and frightened tone.

Angel was rocking back and forth wishing for music as his Marill patted his back. He suddenly heard singing. His ears perked up. It was a feminine voice, definitely a teenage girl. She seemed distressed about something by the sound of her voice. But it was as close to music as he was gonna get at the moment. Angel stood up and brushed the sand off his jeans and began walking towards the voice.

On his way there, he noticed just how much he missed while immersed in his world of music. The birds were chirping, the summery breeze was rather refreshing and reminded him of when he used to go camping with his dad. At the though of his dad, he shook his head to rid himself of the thought and continued on towards the distressed voice.

He soon came upon a sight to behold. A beautifull girl in a kimono. She looked western with her blonde hair and green eyes, but her Kimono made him wonder. It was a bright white with intricate vine designs and flowers blooming... and what seemed like... gold glitter at certain spots of the vines. She apparently had her pokemon with her too. A Ninetails... half-expected of someone in a graceful kimono. A Piplup... Again, half expected of a cute girl to have a cute pokemon. then she had a Gible. It wasn't cute, but it wasn't ugly, but it let him know she had a personality he should beware of. Still, she was cute and Angel, being a teenage boy, wanted to make an impression.

Aomething hit Angel as he was about to approach her. Where was his Marill? He looked around frantically and ran back to find it had fallen in the sand trying to keep up. He smiled as he picked up his beachball shaped friend and turned around towards her singing.

Angel finally caught up to where she was and sat down a few feet in front of her cross-legged and put his Marill down. Marill waddled off to play with Piplup. She still seemed lost in her... withdrawal? worry? Angel couldn't tell. He put on a warm, comforting smile, and put his hand comfortingly on her shoulder, fully expecting to be hit.

He quickly retracted his hand and sang to calm her down.

"Let's go back
Back to the beginning
Back to when the earth, the sun, the stars all aligned

'Cause perfect didn't feel so perfect
Trying to fit a square into a circle
Was no life
I defy

Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean

I'm shedding
Shedding every color
Trying to find a pigment of truth
Beneath my skin

'Cause different
Doesn't feel so different
And going out is better
Then always staying in
Feel the wind

Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean

I'm coming clean
Let the rain fall
Let the rain fall
I'm coming...

Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean

Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean, I'm coming clean

Let's go back
Back to the beginning"

Angel smiled as he waited for a reaction.

Ehh…I guess this is kinda nice…
Selena Manhassen thought to herself. To her, the world was a sort of orangey-black colour, on account of her eyes being comfortably shut. Instead, she tuned into her other senses. Her head was resting on what felt like a soft, fluffy pillow. From the smell of things, it was Kero. Normally, Kero would smell fragrant due to his frequent baths, but now he smelt like he had a bath with no soap or shampoo whatsoever. Definitely not pleasant. For the record, wet Slakoth isn't the most charming odour in the world. Selena's first reaction would have been to pull away from him. She didn't need to be stinking of damp fur for the rest of the cruise, did she? But she found that she couldn't. Her body simply didn't want to respond. She was exhausted. What exactly was I doing? Ohmigosh, that pervy barkeeper better not have done something to my drink. It wasn't so bad, she figured, lying there in the sun, resting up a tired body. She could just have a shower afterwards to wash away the smell. Hang on… Did the window get bigger?

Slowly, light returned to the world as she opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was confirmation that her smelly yet cuddly pillow was indeed her pet Slakoth, lying flat on his stomach underneath her.He stayed motionless as his master pushed herself into a sitting position. She wasn't overly bothered about this; he tended to be like that all the time.

"Urgh…" she grumbled aloud as she inspected herself. Her long black and crimson locks were clumped together and felt horribly straggly and damp. The dress she had been wearing felt soaked and was torn in many places. Much to her chagrin, sand was sticking to her damp clothes. Wait…sand?

It was only then that she took the time to actually analyse her surroundings. Only then did she notice she was no longer on a cruise back home. "Where the heck are we?" she asked Kero.

"Slak…" came to muffled response. All around them stretched a vivid gold strip of sand, flanked by a dense green mass of forest inland and the omnipresent blue ocean. The sun beat the earth below it mercilessly with its rays, bathing the area with a rather enjoyable aura of warmth and light. Squinting through the sunlight, Selena began noticing the many dark shapes that desecrated the perfect golden sands.

Wreckage.

As far as her eyes could see and no doubt further, the beach was littered with wood and metal alike. She spied a few crates cracked open and ransacked by seawater. There were several dangerous looking twisted pieces of metal that may have once been a safety rail – how ironic. Selena could only blink in surprise. She wasn't daft; she was stranded. The chunks of wood and metal were her ship.

An odd sensation came over her. She was sitting there, alone on a seemingly deserted island surrounded by the corpse of her only way to escape. Yet she felt excited. Trembling slightly, she pulled herself to her feet to better survey the area. But wait… A sudden morbid thought had struck her, what happened to everyone else on the ship? Are they… she gulped before even thinking it, immediately regretting it as she felt salt water burn her throat, …dead? She shook her head of such dark thoughts. This isn't some story in a book…Everyone isn't going to conveniently pop their clogs to leave me stranded… right?

"Eep!" she squeaked rather uncharacteristically, "My stuff!" Frantically glancing around, her eyes sought after her navy blue bag. Her clothes, her food, Virtua were inside! She can't have lost it!

"…Koth." Kero grunted again. He had lazily rolled onto his back, holding up her bag in one pair of claws. A quick examination revealed that Virtua and a few of her clothes and snacks had survived. Sighing deeply, she pulled out her well-worn outfit. She couldn't stay in her current damp and filthy dress; she'd catch her death. And Selena Manhassen had no intention of dying so quickly.

Gawd, my priorities are soo screwed up. I should be looking for help. She thought to herself as she searched out a large sheltering piece of hull. Eh, they'll live. I can't find them if I'm being killed by the common cold now, can I? She argued back. Mostly she just didn't want to move around too much in a: filthy clothes and b: just after waking up.

[FONT=&quot]She stripped off her dress and began to change under the shelter and shade of the hull. I really hope nobody shows up right now…

The hyperactive twenty year old sauntered across the shoreline carefree and jubilant, swishing his cape about as if he were a matador taunting an invisible Tauros. Stan attempted to imitate his companion, but lack of dexterity rendered the Pokemon face-down in the sand, the purple garment tangled about his limbs. Kaze remained oblivious to the Sneasel's plight, instead occupying himself with inspecting a peculiarly shaped seashell embedded within the sea of white grains. Plucking the object from the ground, Kaze caressed the surface of the bivalve with an index finger, observing its texture and iridescent pink hue.

"This is probably the currency in this place!" He gasped as this was his Archimedes moment, and he had just discovered something utterly remarkable. "Yes! They must use these to trade with, because the trees are too wonky to make paper bills! That's why shells like this are called 'sand dollars'! Stan!" Kaze squealed with delight, turning around to gaze upon the mass of violet and charcoal unmoving in the sand. "Get up! This is no time for sleeping! We've gotta go find someone with a shovel! But I'm hungry... Nyeh," he grumbled. "What to do, what to do? I want cheese puffs, but I also want a sand mansion. Oh I know! We'll flip this 'coin', and see what it lands on. Though..." A perplexed frown surfaced upon his lips. "I don't see a head or a tail on this baby. How troublesome. Unless we find a local and ask them why their trees are so..." Kaze trailed off and blinked in the direction of his Pokemon, who still remained lifeless within the sand. Low groans could be heard above the faint hiss of the waves meeting with the shoreline, but the man chose to turn around and continue to skip along the beach, flaunting his cape in one hand, the other clutched tightly around the shell.

Groggily, Stan the Sneasel found the energy to lift his body from the sand, and managed to unwind the material from around his scarlet boots in one swift movement. The Pokemon stood on the spot momentarily, before tasting grit in his mouth. Stan retched, clawing at his tongue to try and rid himself of the disgusting substance between his teeth and that coated his lips. Upon spending five minutes of aimlessly cleaning his mouth (for there seemed to be tiny particles lodged in every nook and cranny), the cross-eyed creature gave up, and began meandering after his trainer. It was easy to track Kaze, for two reasons. First was the unmistakeable trail of footprints, and secondly... He could hear the tone-deaf, nonsensical warbling of the man from a mile away.

"Cheese puffs, cheese puffs, fill me with glee! Bananas are annoy-ing, their peels are slip-pery! Perhaps I'll find a coconut, or maybe twenty-two! When I swing my cape, the people all gape, and Stan's fans all cheer too!" Kaze sang with gusto, grinning idiotically at his 'achievement' upon every occasion that he made the 'song' rhyme. "I'll get married and live in a castle, because I'm a clever guy!"

A loud, feminine-sounding scream pierced the atmosphere around him, and Kaze stopped in his tracks to stare vacantly up at the sky. His body soon regretted it, as the blazing sun dazzled him, causing black spots to appear within his vision. However, instead of reacting like a normal person would, Kaze released an excited, puppy-like yelp and began pursuing the 'balls' that had seemingly been conjured before his very eyes. His mind was completely diverted from the subjects of the sand mansion, the monkey Pokemon, the cheese puffs and the shell- all that mattered was that he caught the balls before anyone else could. They would make fun additions to his act! However, the orbs soon vanished from sight, leaving the male in utter discombobulation. Returning to the mindset of a sane person, Kaze spied a beautiful fox-like Pokemon sitting beside... A girl? His eyelids fluttered several times, the acrobat deciphering whether or not this was a mirage.

Kaze's embarkment into the realm of the mentally-stable was extremely shortlived. For once he recognised that his vision was not playing tricks on him, his brain descended back into psychopathy.

"Hey! You!" He hollered, striding up to the dark-haired female and placing his hands on his hips. "You know where my balls are, don't you! You stole my balls you son of a b*tch!"

Bio

(( OOC: Can I join? If I can, here's my bio: ))

Name: Tabby Katherine

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Personality: Tabby is a warm, bubbly person with a friendly and kind temperment. She's very happy, spontaeneous, and fun. She finds it a tad difficult to focus on one thing for too long, and she is somewhat of a scatterbrain. For example, she can remember major events, like catching her first pokemon, but not little things, like what she ate for breakfast. She loves the color pink and 'cute' pokemon. She works hard to bond with her pokemon. How much she and her pokemon trust each other is more important to her than how strong they are. She also loves eevee's and eeveelutions. However, she does not take kindly to insults. She has another side to her personality that is fiery and harsh, and she especially hates being called weak. However, she finds it difficult to hold a grudge against anyone for long and believes strongly in second chances. She is somewhat spacey, and buries herself in books when she is upset so that she can escape the difficulties of real life. She prefers running to fighting.

Appearance: Tabby is only about five feet tall, pretty short for her age. She has a slender build and huge blue eyes that show whatever she is thinking at the moment like an open book. She has brown hair cut short, like a boy's, with hot pink streaks in it. It usually sticks up in spiky tufts, because she just doesn't have time to brush it EVERY SINGLE DAY. She likes clothes that are easy to move around in, and often wears shorts and legwarmers and other wierd combinations of clothing. She loves to wear pink the most, and also likes shiny things like jewelery. She has a wide smile that lights up her face.

Bio: Tabby always preferred contests, particularly cute contests, to battling. She has always been really empathetic and can't stand to watch her pokemon get hurt. When she was younger she attempted some battling, but often burst into tears when her pokemon was knocked out, so she gave it up, deciding that battling just wasn't her thing. Her mother and father were both accomplished pokemon breeders, and they gave her a pair of eevees whom she named Fimbledown and Tringle for her first birthday. She went on to evolve them into a leafeon and an espeon, and ever since they have been her faithful companions, never going into their pokeballs. Having won enough contests in Sinnoh, she decided to expand upon her experience by going to Johto. She had really good sea legs, luckily, so she wasn't hurling over the side of the boat like some. When the boat went down she her two pokemon and jumped into the water, grabbing an indistinguishable piece of what used to be their boat and pulling Fimbledown and Tringle into their pokeballs for the first time. When they washed up on the shore she released her pokemon immediately and started yelling for the other survivors, just to see if anyone was there.

Pokémon: Fimbledown is her leafeon, Tringle is her espeon.

Pokémon Info: Fimbledown is very devoted to Tabby and has always stuck with her. She has a funny habit of rubbing up against Tabby with her head, like a cat. She always sleeps by Tabby's head at night, so she wakes up feeling refreshed from her pokemon's photosynthesis.

Tringle is your average espeon. She is very effectionate and energetic, and loves to bask in the sun. She is a bit petite for an espeon, but that doesn't make her less of a great pokemon. She is also a bit more pink than lavendar. When she is angry she whips her double tail around, and the ends make a sharp clacking noise. Her gem is very bright red, and she often helps Tabby get to sleep and relaxes her using her psychic energy.

To Addy, there was nothing else to do but panic. It seemed the most appropriate thing to do in a situtation like this. Yes, because trying to survive is completely pointless. Panicking is much more worthwile than trying to use the surrounding resources to survive. Whoever must think that is the most important thing to do when you're on an island is a complete dummy! Yeah, not really. Addy is the real dummy here, trying hard NOT to survive.

"And what if I die?" She whined. The grip on her Ninetales tightened. Obviously, Pixie was not enjoying it. She was practically suffocating. "It'll be a few years until they find my body!" Obviously, Adeline was exaggerating things a bit too much.

In the end, Addy let go of her Ninetales, giving her a chance to breathe. "I'm afraid we'll never make it out alive!" Slowly, the dark-haired girl began to stand up. She dusted off her fancy clothes of the sand that stuck onto them.

A rumbling noise could be heard coming from...Addy's stomach. Apparently, she's hungry, no duh. "Ugh, how am I going to find food on this island?!" The young girl groaned, stomping her foot. "

How am I supposed to find it on my own?" Obviously, Addy has never been in a situation like this...ever. Usually, back at her hometown, she had chefs who usually made food for her. What an easy life that is, er, was. Now, she has to tough it out on an island where she has to use knowledge and the resources around her like a "dumb person".

From what Addy knows, she's basically the only person on the island. There was no one else around for miles. Well, that's what she thought. "There isn't another person around here for miles!"

That statement was true, until some boy came along claiming to have lost his, err... "balls". Addy looked at him like he had five heads with ten eyes on each head. "Excuse me, but I have no idea what you're talking about!" The dark-haired girl yelled at him, folding her arms over her chest. "And don't you dare call me...whatever you called me before!"

Addy's Ninetales wasn't taking a liking to this mysterious person who randomly appeared. Pixie was about to attack him, but Addy stopped her. "No, Pixie. I didn't tell you to do anything, now sit!" Pixie sat down, obeying her trainer, but a little mad that she couldn't do anything. "And you, tell me what your business is here!" Adeline turned back to the boy. Of course, leave it to Addy to say something stupid.

After a few moments of thinking, Shelby knew what she had to do. Shelter and food need to be my top priority now, she thought, pushing herself up off the sand. Larvitar looked up at her curiously, and Quilava cocked his head to the side. Shelby paused and looked out at the ocean once more. Something leaped out of the water. It looked almost like a seahorse, but Shelby knew what it was. It was a Horsea. Quilava looked out towards the water curiously, following her gaze. Larvitar mimicked Quilava as it wanted to know what exactly they were looking at. Shelby watched as the water shimmered on Horsea's back, before the water Pokémon disappeared under the waves once more. That was the Pokémon that saved me, I just know it, Shelby thought.

"Lar, Larvitar," Larvitar said quietly. He then looked back up to Shelby. After looking at her, he looked back to the ocean with wonder across his features. Shelby sighed quietly, bending down and picking up her soaking wet bag. She grabbed Larvitar's pokeball from inside and returned him. She spared a glance at Quilava and then back towards the large jungle.

"Ready to go?" Shelby questioned. Quilava said his name and nodded; the flames on his back and the top of his head lighting up. "Then let's get to finding some supplies, I suppose," Shelby said. She walked towards the jungle, and Quilava took one last look at the waves before running to catch up with her.

They walked past the sandy beaches and into the looming trees. As soon as they stepped into the trees, the temperature rose. Shelby rolled up the legs of her jeans so they came up to her knees and then they began walking once more. Shelby didn't know exactly what to look for, but she thought that strong branches and limbs from trees would work as a nice shelter. Quilava trotted after her the whole time, flames now diminished because he didn't want Shelby to get too hot. Soon they came upon a fallen log. Shelby paused and thought about how to get it cut up. Quilava looked up at her and waited for an order.

"Alright Quilava, you use cut on that log," Shelby said. She crossed her arms and watched as Quilava split the log. It was thin enough to where the strips would make for a good shelter, and Quilava cut them all equally. Shelby grinned and said, "Nice one, Quilava. Let's go put this on the edge of the jungle and start making the shelter." Quilava cried its name and followed Shelby whose arms were full of the cut up log.

They walked around for a little while until Shelby found a good spot for them to set up camp. There were some fruit trees nearby and she had also managed to find a small spring of water. Plus, she could just get ocean water and then have Quilava heat it up to make it better. Shelby dropped the logs on the ground and then wiped the back of her hand on her forehead. It's so hot out here, she thought. She grabbed Larvitar's pokeball and tossed it in the air, watching as the small Pokémon appeared in a burst of white light. Larvitar yawned and looked around.

"Would you mind helping us out here?" Shelby asked, motioning towards the logs that were lying on the ground. Larvitar nodded happily and moved towards the logs. He tried to pick one up, but when he did it caused him to become unbalanced, so he went tumbling backwards. Shelby chuckled and said, "Maybe you should handle the smaller ones." She pointed towards a few lighter looking pieces. Larvitar huffed but accepted the help. Shelby smiled a bit as they set to work. Maybe this will actually bring us all closer, she thought.

After what seemed like all day, but in reality were only a few hours, they had finished. Shelby flopped down on the sand, laying eagle spread with a small groan. Quilava and Larvitar had fallen asleep in a heap next to her. Shelby stared up at the bright blue sky, and then carefully pushed up from the sand so she wouldn't wake her sleeping pals. Now what? She wondered, looking at the slightly creaky shelter. She walked inside and saw that it wasn't exactly the greatest, but it would be better than sleeping outside if it rained or something. Then she noticed a plant in the corner. Her eyebrow rose.

The plant was basically a giant green bulb. Shelby scratched her next and cocked her head to the side. I don't remember putting a plant in here, she thought as she cautiously approached it. Suddenly the plant twitched. Shelby retracted the hand she was about to touch it with. What…the hell? She thought. Swallowing heavily, she reached out and poked the bulb. It moved. Shelby grabbed the bulb, but then suddenly it leaped at her. Its feet slammed into her face, and she fell over as the Pokémon jumped over her and trotted out of the makeshift shelter. Shelby twitched and then got up, scrambling out of the shelter and looking around for the wild Pokémon.

Shelby noticed something. Quilava was still asleep, but Larvitar had disappeared. Shelby's eyes widened and she cursed under her breath, looking around wildly. There was a cry from the bushes, and Shelby ran over. Quilava's eyes opened slowly, and it jumped up and followed after Shelby. Soon they came to a wild Bulbasaur. It and Larvitar seemed to be having a small battle.

"Hey!" Shelby cried out. She startled them, causing Bulbasaur to freeze and get hit by Larvitar's claws. "What the heck?" she mumbled. She went to grab Larvitar's pokeball to return him, but then she realized that she had left her pack back at the shelter. Oh crap, Shelby thought, looking at the two fighting Pokémon. She knew that she'd have to have Larvitar battle the wild Bulbasaur, but she would have much rather gotten settled before.

"Ok Larvitar, use scratch attack again!" Shelby called. Larvitar leapt in towards the Bulbasaur, but then suddenly the Bulbasaur looked frightened. Shelby called off Larvitar's attack, and watched as the small Bulbasaur ran off into the jungle. Her eyebrow's pulled together in confusion, what was that all about? With a soft sigh, she walked over and picked Larvitar up.

"Lar?" it questioned.

"I dunno, but let's get back to camp," Shelby said. So she, Quilava, and Larvitar headed back to the camp. Shelby glanced back to where the Bulbasaur had been, vaguely wondering what it had wanted.

The boy that had been attacked by Persephone seemed to be fine. Well, that's what he said. But, well, they ddn't call Ivory naïve for a reason. She decided he was perfectly fine. "That's great! That your fine I mean, this whole things isn't great. I'm Ivory, by the way, Ivory van Dijck. Actually, come to think of it, this is actually pretty cool. And the place is amazing. It's like a huge vacation resort! But then, well, without the beds and the swimming pool. Could you count the sea as a pool? Well you can obviously swim in it. I wonder if it's dangerous? And the jungle. It's like I'm in heaven! I'm sure it will be a lot of fun, staying here. Like a vacation!Yes I'm sure.."
She ended her ramble of words because her stomach decided to make itself known. And also because she had to stop for breath or she would faint. Again.
"Haha, sorry. It seems that I'm hungry. Yep, definitely hungry. So I'm sorry about Persephone, I hope she didn't further your headache. If you have a headache that is. Well, bye! I'm sure I'll see you around, this island can't be that big, right?"

And so Ivory ran towards the trees, now under full control of her thin little legs. Food, where would food be? Well, in trees of course. And trees were in the forest. She spotted a tree with a lot of yellow fruit on it. Bananas! Some looked more ripe than the others, but they all looked delicious. Aaah, bananas. But the tree was too high up to climb, and none of her Pokémon were fit to climb it. What now?
She spotted a very convenient tree next to the banana tree, it had way more branches to hold on to. She stepped on the lowest branch and climbed up. She was good at climbing, her parents had always called her a little monkey when she was little. She climbed on a vertical branch that came closest to the bananas, but she slipped and ended up hanging on to it with her arms and legs.
"Good thing I don't have a fear of hights," she mumbled as she slowly climbed her way towards the bananas. Stupid bananas, why did they have to be so high up? Weren't bananas supposed to be close to the ground? Maybe they were, but not for someone as tiny as her. She was almost there, all she had to do was reach for the bananas, just a little more… a little further…
Ha! She had them, but… The tree didn't have her anymore.. She slipped off the branch, holding only the bunch of bananas. Don't look down! Don't look down! Don't look down!
She looked down.
Looking back at this moment, Ivory decided that it wasn't that long a fall, really. She wasn't that high up, the bananas were pretty close to the ground, but at that moment it felt like she was going to die. The only good part was that the bananas fell with her. She heard the ripping sound that mean that something wasn't quite right. Before she knew it she was falling with the bunch of bananas in her hand. Luckily for her she landed on a bunch of leaves instead of the hard ground. Her back did ache horribly, though.
"Ah. Ouch. Why?!"
She shouted at no one in particular, just for the need to shout. Her clothing was a little dirty and ripped. The only thing good out of this was the fact that there was a lovely bunch of bananas in her hands at the moment.

Food! She took one banana and enjoyed every bite from it. Then took another, and another. Before she knew it there were half a dozen banana peels littered around her. Well, at least she wasn't hungry anymore. She did also notice that Perephone, who had been following her a little earlier. Had disappeared again. The sound of something hitting the trunk of a tree reached her, and her worries subsided. She was just hitting a tree, it was all good. Mareep was hiding under a leaf, probably scared when Ivory had fallen from the tree. She offered Apolla a banana, but the sheep preferred to eat the peels. Eating calmed her down a bit.
"Oh, Apolla, what must I do with you?"
She smiled at the Pokémon and shouted.
"Anyone want bananas?!!"

A bit while later, Shelby had gathered some sticks in a nice pile. Quilava watched her with a bit of disinterest, looking out towards the waves. Larvitar was having fun writing things in the sand and then jumping on them to erase it. Shelby watched them with a small grin on her face. They're so amusing, she thought, especially Larvitar. No matter what had happened, she was just thankful that nothing had happened to either of them when they had gotten thrown overboard.

Shelby sat down on a log she had placed near the fire and pulled open her pack. Inside she had some pokeballs that were near the top. She carefully took the empty ones out and set them aside. Underneath the pokeballs were her clothes. They were still damp so she pulled them out and sat them next to her on the log. After her damp clothes came two water bottles and a few bags of junk food. Shelby made a face and opened one of the bags. The chips inside didn't seem to have been affected by the water so Shelby began to scarf them down. Quilava and Larvitar looked over at her interestingly.

"Lava?" Quilava questioned.

Shelby blinked and set the near-empty bag of chips aside. Digging deeper into the bag, she found the package of Pokémon food she had. A quick look told her that the paper hadn't withstood the ocean, but she opened it just to check. The pellets of food were water logged and puffy. Shelby sighed softly and set the bag aside, shrugging to her Pokémon. They looked sad for a moment. Shelby held up a finger and then looked in the bag once more. The only thing left in there of value was a picture. She carefully pulled it out, waving it around to get the water off.

"I'm glad it didn't smear," Shelby mumbled to herself as she carefully unfolded it. It was a picture of her, her father, her brother, her best friend, and her best friend's brothers. She looked at them in the picture for a brief moment, taking it all in.

Shelby and her best friend were at the very front. Her best friend had a Squirtle with her and Shelby had her new Cyndaquil. Shelby's brother had his Croconaw with him. Her friend's eldest brother had a Raichu that was hanging off of his head and shoulders, while her friend's second eldest brother had a Houndoom with him. His hand was on top of Houndoom's head. Shelby's eyes finally moved to her father. His infamous Pidgeot and Typhlosion were flanking him on either side. Shelby smiled a bit and then refolded the picture and tucked it away.

I miss them, she thought ruefully. She thought about their faces briefly and then pushed it from her mind. I probably won't ever see them again, she thought bitterly, and I need to get over that and focus on how to survive on this place. She had to admit that she had never heard of an island this far out, but she shrugged it off. It's time to get down to business, she thought.

"Quilava," she began. Quilava perked up and looked up at her. "Larvitar," she said. Larvitar looked up from his little doodles. "How about we do some exploring?" Shelby asked them, ready to see if anyone else had survived the shipwreck. They replied happily, getting up. Shelby grinned and then set off, picking up Larvitar as she did. Larvitar scrambled up on top of her head. Shelby grinned as she remembered receiving Larvitar as an egg. He had been a birthday gift from…a friend, Shelby finished her own thought abruptly. She snapped her mind closed of the past.

"Lava?" Quilava asked curiously. He could sense her sudden overwhelming sadness.

"Let's go," Shelby said quickly. "Maybe we'll even find some good food to eat while we're at it! Oh!" she said, suddenly remembering. She picked up one of the berries she had found and split it in half. Larvitar peered over the top of her head curiously. "Here you guys go, I know you're probably hungry," she said, handing each of her Pokémon a half of the berry. It wasn't much, but she hoped it would hold them over at least until she could go back to camp to get some more.

They walked for a ways, until she came upon a set of what appeared to be footprints in the sand. Someone is alive! Shelby thought enthusiastically. She ran along the footprints until she got closer to a figure. Quilava jogged after her and Larvitar bounced up and down on her head, protesting slightly. When she came into view of the boy, she stopped and approached him carefully. He seemed rather tall, reminding Shelby of her brother. His hair was too light though, so she walked up to him boldly.

"Hey, who're you?" Shelby asked. Quilava came to a stop just next to her, tense and ready to attack if need be.
