Ow…That pokemon…that hurt, Thomas thought while rubbing his head slightly. He directed his attention back to the girl. She seemed to be introducing herself, he could only catch bits and pieces of what she was saying. Thomas decided it was a good thing that he had been able to hear the name, at least. He watched the girl as she continued speaking, and as his head slowly stopped pulsing, Thomas could finally make out what she was saying. She was talking about the sea being a pool? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense, is she dense or something? We're stranded here…And there she goes, Thomas thought as he watched her head off towards some trees. He grinned as she fell from the tree she was climbing on. Ivory got up and shouted something, holding up some bananas. She seems really naïve…Hm, who's there?
Thomas turned his attention 180 degrees, and spotted a girl with a pokemon walking towards him hesitantly, then with meaning. Hm, this girl is an odd one…Doesn't even introduce herself? Eh, oh well, Thomas smiled slightly, then spoke, "I'm Thomas…Who're you?", immediately following his answer, Thomas got up, and poked Wartortle, waking him up.
"Tortle…", he said sleepily. Thomas grinned at the response he got from the turtle, then walked on over to Ivory, waving his hand in a gesture for the girl, her pokemon, and Wartortle to follow, after all, Ivory has bananas. At the thought of bananas, his mind brought up a picture of a familiar monkey. Grabbing a pokeball from his belt, Thomas held it out, and asked Aipom to come out.
"Aipom! …Ai? Pom?", the monkey called out, then looked around curiously.
"Hey, sorry to say, but we're on what looks to be a deserted island. But don't worry there's some bananas over there, Aipom", Thomas said, then pointed the banana-bearing trees out to Aipom. Aipom jumped up happily, then dashed to the trees, bypassing Ivory and her pokemon, and climbing up the tree quite nimbly, and reached a nice bunch of bananas. Pulling on them, he plummeted to the ground, but quickly recovered and skipped back to the group. Thomas smiled at his energetic pokemon, then sat down and leaned on Wartortle's shell again. As Aipom neared the group, he sprang into the air and flipped a few times, before landing on his head, skidding to a stop right next to Thomas. Patting Aipom's head, Thomas grabbed the bananas, dusted them off, then split them up; two each for his pokemon, four for the girl and her pokemon, and peeled the last one for himself. Thomas ate the banana slowly, he liked to savor the taste of most things that he ate.
The same could not be said for Aipom, however. He greedily consumed the two bananas, and then sprinted back to the trees, apparently to grab more bananas. Thomas watched as Aipom climbed up a tree and grabbed a bunch of bananas, although he stayed up in the tree this time. Turning his attention to his other pokemon, Thomas noticed that Wartortle was eating his two bananas in the same manner that he did. Thomas looked at the girl from the corner of her eye, and it looked like she was about to say something.
"Hey, do you and your pokemon have anywhere to stay? If not, I found a place. You could stay there with me if you wanted?", she said. "I'm Shelby, by the way"
Thomas looked at her intently for a second, then, "No, I don't have a place to stay yet. Since your offering, I guess I'll take you up on it. Nice to meet you, Shelby", yawning Thomas stood up. Aipom noticed this, and jumped from the tree, and sprinted to his trainer, and jumped on his head. Thomas laughed slightly, and patted Aipom on the head. "Lead the way Shelby. Wartortle, we're going, come on", Thomas said politely to the girl, then nudged his tired turtle. I wonder what'll happen now that we're stranded on an island…Oh well, I've met two people already. There must be more out there, so we'll be fine, Thomas thought, clutching his necklace lightly. Yawning again, Thomas waited for Shelby to show the way.
